  • Timothy, 62 from Olympia, WA
    62, Olympia, WA
I am dependable, grounded, and dedicated to those I love. My honor and my faith are important to me. Old fashioned in many ways, I am chivalrous, romantic, and believe in equality in a relationship. I acknowledge that I find traditional gender roles appealing, but am flexible and not patronizing. I enjoy cooking and believe in sharing the workload. I'm divorced & annulled, I'm looking for a lasting relationship, a lifelong friend, companion, and confidante who wants the same. I have a good sense of humor, a caring heart and am devoted to family- aging parents (married 60 years) I love dearly, & my own three adult children. I am a family man- my years as a young father were the happiest and most rewarding of my life, and my kids are without question my life's greatest accomplishment. I'm good with modern technology and appreciate the logic of it. I have diverse other interests, too, better learned over conversation. I practice good hygiene and have impeccable manners- Mom taught me well. There's no denying that mutual attraction and chemistry are important. Thank you for reviewing my profile.
  • David, 58 from Seattle, WA
    58, Seattle, WA
I am a humble and open-minded man of deep personal faith. I have a very strong sense of the personal nature of our relationship with God. I am focused and passionate about the things I do whether work, play, rest, or love; and the people I care about. I enjoy constantly learning about things. I am Blessed to be the father of two fine (and tall) young men. They have demonstrated themselves to be hardworking, honest, respectful (especially of women) and even heroic. I recently discontinued my activities with a local Theater; I've declined invitations to join two others as a Board Member; I need a break after seven years. Instead, I'm taking the opportunity to get more involved with my Parish again; I've joined the Music Ministry as a singer/guitarist. I enjoy cooking; I look forward to preparing meals with a special someone some day. I'm what one might call a Handyman - more like Jack-of-All-Trades, Master of None! I have been called a "Renaissance Man" - I'm still not sure what that means, but I'm told it is good. I play and enjoy a variety of music, especially rock & roll, classical, flamenco, and Country & Western. I enjoy jazz (just can't play it). I'm still working on two compositions... one dedicated to the friend of a passed friend and CM member, and the other regards Christ's Passion. Having nearly completed my annulment questionnaire, and contacting my Advocate, I've learned of the changes in the process. There's a possibility of being completely done by next Spring - else well - a whole lot more work! :( In the meantime, I remain appreciative of the acquaintances I meet here on CM who understand and accept that I'm not spiritually free for romance, but also know how to share friendly, good, time and fellowship. I know others have experienced the emotional challenge involved with annulment, and some have been very helpful and supportive as I work through mine; I'm so thankful for the advice and support I've found here. My greatest influences are my (departed) parents, a few priests (one an Uncle), my sister, friends made here on CM, some Secular Carmelites, and my sons. These have led me to a deeper Faith in Our Lord, and the human capacity for Integrity and Heroic Faith. I'm looking into joining a Secular Discalced Carmelite Community.
  • Alexander, 22 from Seattle, WA

Hello I am Alexander. My family means the world to me. I don't know what I would do without them. I am the oldest of 7 which has taught me a lot about being a role model. I am currently in the Navy, having just finished school I will be coming back home. I am a big fan of sports. I love watching football on Sundays especially the Seattle Seahawks. I play, watch and teach Ultimate Frisbee. It is by far my favorite sport. I enjoy reading, being outside, watching movies, and spending time with family.
  • Noah, 22 from Richland, WA
    22, Richland, WA
Hi my name is Noah. This is a lot harder then I thought it was going to be, trying to describe who I am. One of the important things about me is that I am a very outgoing person that loves the society of other people. I come from a large and fun family of nine. I am a very athletic person that loves the outdoors and all that it brings with it. In my free time I like to read because it lets me to have a break from my text books. I think in order to get to know me we will have to talk :). don't be afraid to mail and who knows we might learn a few things about each other. Love to get to know you.
  • Alex, 32 from Colville, WA
    32, Colville, WA
I am passionate about many things. I love the outdoors, camping, theology, music, history, and I have always enjoyed an affinity for animals. Being a recent convert from Protestantism, I am energized by all things related to the catholic faith. I place a high priority on humor and not taking myself too seriously. I enjoy finding beauty in the small things in life. I love to read and especially enjoy history and faith-related books, but I can devour an old Louis Lamour novel in record time. Family is very important to me. I manage our family business but look forward moving to beautiful acreage I own in NE Washington state within the next few years and raising a family of my own. That said, currently my life is very much focused on faith, our business, and building on my property.
  • Jeffrey, 23 from Cheney, WA
    23, Cheney, WA
My name is Jeffrey and I am from the small rural town of Oakesdale, WA which is about half way between Pullman and Spokane. I recently just graduated from EWU with a Bachelors in Education. I am currently in my first year as a full time 6th grade teacher at St. Charles Catholic School. I am very passionate about my job as teacher and I love the fact that I get to teach all subjects including the faith on daily basis. Probably the most influential experience that has impacted my life was my conversion to the Catholic faith. I was raised in a Presbyterian church but when I came to college I wanted to rediscover my family's long forgotten connection to the Catholic faith and in doing so my eyes were opened to what I had been missing in my faith all along, the Eucharist. Ever since then I have fallen in love with the sacrament and the depth of Catholic traditions and history. My leisure time is usually spent with my Catholic friends on campus at the Newman Center or at my house with my room mates. I also enjoy reading books regarding Catholicism, history or anything I can get my hands on. When I am with family or friends I usually prefer going to the movies, out to eat or something engaging. I am a firm believer that laughter is the best medicine in the world and I personally love to laugh and be funny.

I am a young professional working at a software company. I am a world traveler and looking for a fellow partner in crime to explore new places with me. When I am not working, I like to ski, play soccer, go to concerts, and experiment with new recipes. My passion in life is teaching and I hope to open a school some time in the future.

Hi! My name is Matt, I'm originally from San Diego and just moved to Spokane a couple of months ago and so far I really enjoy it! I enjoy pretty much anything outdoors (hiking, camping, backpacking) so I seem to have come to the right place. I'm a pretty laid back person that gets along with just about anyone.

  • Eddie, 22 from Blaine, WA
    22, Blaine, WA
Some things that I am passionate about are volunteering and helping out my community. I used to volunteer at my church a lot during highschool but haven't found the time to do so these past few years. I am blessed and thankful for everything that has gone right in my life and would like to start volunteering again to pay back for all the good that has gone on in my life. My grandfather is very influential in my life. He has always had a very strong faith and has always encouraged me to be the best I can be. I look up to him because he is always positive no matter what life throws at him and still sees things as being in Gods plan whether he likes it or not. On my leisure time I don't do much. Recently I joined the army and have been very busy with training. And since I've been away from home I have realized how much I would like to try new things like hiking, camping, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
  • Josh, 29 from Seattle, WA
    29, Seattle, WA
I'm a teacher and PhD student who moved here from the Midwest two years ago. I teach both at the University of Washington at another school in Bellevue, where I work mostly with elementary, middle school, and high school students. I really love my work, whether it's introducing great books and ideas to college students or explaining to a five year old why it's not too chill to bite people. I've had a lot of formative experiences, including discernment in a college seminary as an undergrad. I am a convert so what I love about the Church is that I have always chosen it, although a faithful life has not always been easy. After a long period of doubt and wandering, a period which saw me leave the church for a while, I have recently recommitted my life to God. Because I enjoy my work so much, it's sometimes hard to distinguish my work from my leisure. I like to follow politics, even though our current system bothers me a lot. Earlier this year I started cultivating an interest in classical music so I try to visit the symphony.
  • James, 26 from Ellensburg, WA
    26, Ellensburg, WA
Let's see, where to begin? If I had to sum things up quickly, I would say that the most important things in my life are Christ, my family, and art, ideally in that order. Without Catholicism I would be dead, but there are nonetheless many elements of American Catholic culture that annoy me, if I'm being honest. I love the Church with her imperfections. I spent three of my undergraduate years in seminary, and there is a possibility that God wants me to go back, but currently that question is clear as mud to me. Whatever my vocation, I hope to spend my life bringing beauty and truth into the world, as I have received so much of it - I really want to give back. I'm the oldest of seven siblings, and currently I am living with three of them - so if you're around me, you'll likely be around them as well. Don't worry, they're pretty amazing people. :) I like to think about things, sometimes too much. I love to explore, especially cities and the outdoors, and to find beauty in the world, especially in unexpected places. I LOVE love finding the sneaky ways in which Christ makes himself known in secular culture - to really get along with me it would help if you were something of an annoying hipster, as I am one myself. I'm a musician and aspiring artist/writer, though what exactly that will look like I am not certain yet - if I had to pick, probably a career in graphic design, but that would be a ways down the road. In the meantime I am working with preschoolers. :) In my spare time I like movies, music, conversation (preferably over food or coffee or beer) and exploring - that last one is pretty open-ended. I find you often don't have to go far to find amazing things.
