Here I am - a single guy from Moncton. I'm caring, devoted and family oriented. And I'm also too shy to approach someone I've never met before, so I ended up here. Generally, I'm more of an indoor person. I enjoy reading, surfing the net, writing. I'm not into sports and I don't watch any, but I do enjoy cycling and long walks. I'm somewhat of a dreamer but I know what things should be taken seriously. I prefer to be honest with the people around me - even if my straightforwardness could sometimes be considered to be rude. Many say that the word "Don-Quixote" describes me to the point - well, I see no reason to argue with them. I believe in traditional family values. I've always wanted my children to have the family I couldn't have when I was a child - and I'm ready to do all it takes to make that happen.

I live alone and lonely in the past five years,- but Hope one day will bring the Light to me as I may find HOPE in this suffering world,- not much the luckiest ones out of six billions of us. I trust in the Holy Spirit will nurture that the struggle with the terrible poverty of loneliness will overcome this segment of epidemic of the elders' desolation. > There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved. < Imagination is the highest kite that one can fly ! While is nothing wrong with virtue, it is not the same thing as fruit of the Spirit. Seeking a lady with her feet on the ground, can make the apple crumble, while sharing a few conversation, with few laughs in the background. No longer indulging in selfish desires,-as an only choice of the past,-but enabled to ' serve 'one another in LOVE. Let the Fun-of-Life begin expressing our thoughts, daily chores and emotions, warm embraced tender love demonstrates how set us free; so we can fix our eyes on Jesus and cooperate with the Spirit to let the fruit flow. Until the moment arrives to find my Soul-mate, which is the Art of an intelligent Heart, I humbly: wish, pray, hope and gladly worship God be beholden to eternity.

What should one say when put into the spotlight? I honestly feel that I am not the kind of person that enjoys being in the spotlights but rather be just outside the spotlight - somewhere to the side. I enjoy being with people, friends or others, but I also desperately need time alone to reflect on things and find some peace and quiet. My occupation more or less implies that I play my part in this society; driving a fancy car and/or wearing fancy clothing. I regret that this makes me a somewhat unwanted poster boy for a postmodern society in which profit, (never ending) growth and self-expression, self-actualization, and individualism seem to be the only common drive we have. There was a time in life where I actually bought it, and believed in all of that... ...but not anymore. There is actually not a lot that I need but a good book, a nice long walk in the forest or the beach, a wonderful conversation sharing ideas and concepts, or a quiet church where stillness seems to be the permanent inhabitant. Less is more, nowadays. I'm an abstract thinker, highly analytical, conceptual, pretty organized, neat and well mannered. Yet also spontaneous, a bit shy yet also direct (because I'm Dutch). I don't take people, ideas, ideology, practices or a lot of things for granted, but enjoy critical reflection on ideas (including my own) and hope I never loose the ability to drastically change my outlook on subjects. I've read both Thomas of Aquinas and Rudolf Steiner, enjoy both reading Heidegger and Marion, theology of the Theology of Body and Gender theory. Yet; I traveled to Pakistan, the Holy Land and more places just with a backpack, without a group. I enjoy fixing the plumbing when needed, and wouldn't hesitate for a second to get on a plane to meet you - if we'd both feel we had a match. Find a label that fits me :) Or at least get me out of this website!
