33, Haledon, NJMy faith is my life and I joined this site to find a woman who feels the same way. I take my faith seriously and still get dressed up for church, even in the summer when everyone is in shorts, which is a shame because I do have nice legs :) As far as my personality, I have a good sense of humor and make others laugh, usually at the expense of myself. I am drama free and very easygoing. I'm the type of person you can count on at anytime for advice, help, or just a listening ear. I try to attend two Masses a week, an English Mass and a Spanish Mass and while my Spanish is weak, I love the culture and look forward to attending every Sunday. I have yet to attend a Latin Mass, but for now I am trying to learn Spanish enough to eventually have a (very slow ;) ) conversation and get some of the humor of the homily which always seems to go over my head! So bonus points if you can teach me or would like to learn with me! Outside of my faith and work, I enjoy going to the beach in the summer, I love reading and writing, watching movies, and playing games. While I don't get to travel often, it is something I would love to eventually do more of, explore and see and do things with someone. Saying I can cook would not be honest, but I am not helpless in the kitchen, and at the very least I can open jars and stir things! In my free time I also try to exercise when I can and eat right with junk food in moderation, but I do have a bad sweet tooth. I also love a lot of music and have it going in the background often, my favorites being mostly classic oldies from the 60's-90's.
48, Morristown, NJ*****PEACE TO ALL!!!! ***** I'm positive, creative, intelligent, spiritual and down to Earth. In my free time I enjoy museums, art, and other types of cultural outings. My favorite outdoor activities include biking and hiking. I also like to work out and stay healthy, In my free time I like to listen to live music, be it in a small venue or concert hall. Right now I'm not too picky about personal interests, as I think that all comes in time. Actually, it is good to have some different interests so we can learn from each other! Searching for the perfect person? I'll be the first one to admit that I'm not perfect, but do believe communication, kidness and honesty are some of the most important things that go into a relationship. Maybe the question should be, ... "are we perfect for each other?" I have one amazing teen and I am annulled from a civil marriage. Accordingly, I am considered never to have been married. If you saw something in this profile you liked, and you're in a similar situation (never married, annulled) please feel free to reach out!
56, Califon, NJI am honest, harworking, loyal and a good friend to all who come in contact with me. I have built a succesful career in the Tranportation Industry over the past 30 years.Looking to find that elusive special woman to begin the second chapter of my life.
54, Little Falls, NJMy parents and brother have been the influential people in my life. Reading, working out, playing and watching sports, learning something new are what I enjoy on my leisure time.
33, Wayne, NJI am interested in finding the truth. I understand that it is found in the church, but I feel I need someone to help me along the path. My family has been the most influential in my life. I am very thankful for my parents instilling the Catholic faith in my life. In my free time I like to work on things around the house. I keep a small garden and enjoy woodworking. Reading is also something I enjoy to do, specifically history and philosophy. I am thankful to EWTN for introducing me to some great writers like G. K. Chesterton and Hillaire Belloc, their works are very influencial to me.
34, Boonton, NJI was raised Lutheran and became an Evangelical just before college, where I began to discover the beauty of the Catholic faith. After a few years of studying and some stalling, I entered RCIA and was received into the Church in 2008. A few years later I took some serious steps toward testing a priestly vocation (as a Protestant I had felt called to be a pastor). I lived in a house of discernment and alongside some religious brothers for a time, but I chose not to go to the seminary. I do believe I am entrusted with a vocation to serve the Church in a profound way, but as a husband and father first. I want to glorify God in marriage, and show the world what love looks like when it is rooted in Him and self-giving service to each other. I'd like to find someone who wants to join me in placing our family at the service of Christ (specifically, helping more Protestants discover the Catholic faith). People at work gave me a nickname inspired by the movie "Horse Whisperer" (you can ask me what and why). Friendly debates make life interesting. My curiosity is very strong, especially for history (I'm the kind of person who, after watching a movie with some historical connection, will head straight to wikipedia to get a fuller understanding of what really happened). I really enjoy those moments in teaching when the student literally gasps an "aha! ohhhh I geeet it now!" or when I can help two people who are arguing with each other realize that they actually agree (but are using different words). I feel like I have been given so much by the Lord, I feel a deep responsibility to give much in return. If you really want to understand me, you should know that my hero growing up was George Bailey from It's a Wonderful Life, and my hope is to be a man like him. As for leisure, I am usually found reading.. books or blogs on theology or history or current events (I used to work in politics). To really unwind, though, I love hiking/camping, kayaking, and game nights. Also fun: museums, parks, movies. Would be great to get to amusement parks or the beach more often.
35, Lincoln Park, NJI've never had a talent for introducing myself so I'm going to follow some of the prompts presented here. My name is Michael; some call me Mike. In my leisure time I enjoy reading, listening to music, playing music, painting, and of course, running. I began running in March of 2008 and it changed my life in many ways. There have been many people who have been influential in my life. My parents were good role models who raised me in the Church and taught me to do the right thing always. They instilled in me a strong work ethic and integrity. My high school calculus and computer science teacher was also a strong influence. Aside from teaching me the skills I turned into a career, she also taught me the proper order of precedence: God, Family, Math. There was also a philosophy professor in college who introduced me to the writings of St. Augustine which years later would prove to be an important factor in who I am today. What am I passionate about? I'm passionate about running. As I said it's changed my life in many ways and every day I thank God for the ability to run. I'm passionate about my work. I am a software engineer and I spend my days in deep thought solving difficult problems. I'm passionate about my volunteer work with the youth ministry at a local parish. There I work with a few other adults and a teen leadership team to put on Alpha and Antioch retreats for the confirmation candidates. It's quite a story how God called me to this work, and I'm so glad I listened to Him.
