On a social sight, I suppose that the most important thing to say about myself to any women who might consider communicating is to describe what I think should happen during my social interactions with her. Stated simply, I should let her see who I am so that she can decided whether she likes me enough to start a social relationship. Negatively, this means that I don't try to impress her with externals such as wealth or status even if they are real. I do not expect that any particular woman will necessarily find me to be the kind of company she's looking for and appreciate it when she saves us both time and energy by informing me of her feelings in this regard. I know that she cannot have any solid reason to like me unless I'm real with her. Another way to say this is that I don't try to influence a woman to like me, which is not the same as saying that I don't hope that she will become attracted to me, but rather I interact with her to find out whether the real me does or does not appeal to her. I'll add that I think that this is a much more relaxed way to relate to a woman than is the try-to-impress approach.

I consider myself a somewhat sophisticated intellectual "trading" mainly in humanities, a maker and consumer of music, photography, foreign cultures and words of wisdom, among others. I believe in commitment, sharing, trust and support, and that true relationships emerge strengthened from the test of time.

HI, I am a Fordham University graduate who has worked in the financial services industry since 1976. I have spent my entire life in NYC and Long Island. I enjoy my job, my family and friends. My core group of friends and I have been together since freshman year in high school, 1972. I have a very small family consisting solely of cousins. I appreciate my health, opportunity, friends and family. I feel blessed in many ways and always try to find the good in each day. It not always easy, but it is there if you look. I'm easy going and motivated. I try to always behave properly and respect everyone. I'm like going out to dinner, watching tv, taking a walk. I don't really have any hobbies. I do love dogs. Robert
