Hi there! I am a 33 year old who enjoys to spend time with family, my black lab and our other family pets, enjoy the outdoors, hiking, fishing, running, biking, walking, golfing, etc. I am passionate about giving back to my community,. I enjoy serving my local parish in several different capacities as a Sacristan, an usher, Eucharistic Minister and reader. Athletics was a big part of my upbringing and all of my coaches, teachers, family and parents were instrumental in influencing my career path in education. I enjoy my job as a teaching assistant but also enjoy serving my local parish, so I am contemplating becoming a Pastoral Minister and completing a certification program in that area . I also enjoy trying new foods, reading and learning.

Hi, I'm new on this one and just trying it out after a few years on another site. I'm a serious dater, not a short term goal person although I do enjoy meeting new friends. I'm hoping to find the right person on here, whose values will be more in line with mine. I'm a Cradle Catholic but was estranged for a while but happily back for many years now. My kids are all on their own, out of grad school, out of state, wow...that was fast. I travel for work and still enjoy travel for pleasure. There is nothing better than a full tank of gas and a day off....except somebody to share it with. Hopefully I'm in the right place...

I am blessed to have a job as a violin professor at a SUNY college, and music is one of the most important parts of my life (and has been for a long time!). I am somewhat reserved and shy until I am comfortable around someone, then it is easy for me to open up and be myself. People say I'm a dork, but that doesn't really bother me! It has been difficult to find someone who shares my faith, and I am hoping that this site will change that.
  • George, 51 from Fairport, NY
    51, Fairport, NY
I'm a 50 year old man that enjoys his 2 girls and spending time with them. I enjoy running as much as I can. I believe that integrity is the most important thing in life. I enjoy spending quality time with a good woman. A women that enjoys all that life has to offer, from God's beautiful nature to a fine movie.I've been described as happy and easy going man that never seems unhappy. I am human and do have down moments but they truly are few and far in between as i believe that life is to short to spend it unhappy. I also attribute my outlook to the fact that I appreciate all things in my life and not view things in life that i don't have. My outlook is "the glass is half full, not half empty". My faith is part of my daily life. I thank God daily for all of my blessings. I enjoy to cook and would love to cook many meals for that special woman. I guess I can be described as old fashion as I take great pride in treating that special woman the way they deserved to be treated, opening doors, holding the umbrella for them, etc... (I think you get my drift). With me you will always get pure honesty. To me there is nothing more important. That is what I've tried to instill in my two daughters. With me you will get a hard worker and someone always willing to help others.

Love family, especially my kids. I am also blessed with a loyal and great group of friends, but not many in this area, unfortunately. I would really like to connect with new people locally and believe I have a lot to offer. A professor by occupation, I am passionate about theology, philosophy, literature, food, travel, photography, music. Bills fan. Enjoy concerts, museums, doing social stuff. I enjoy British and Scandinavian mysteries, poetry and most of the British mystery offerings on WXXI. Doing stuff with my kids tops my list -- we do a LOT of stuff together! I am blessed to have a job that I find rewarding, that leaves me in a great mood (most of the time) and with a lot of flexibility to make time for travel, to pursue my interests, and especially to stay close to family and friends. I loved my parents and my aunt very much (no childhood baggage) and remain very close to siblings. They have been strong and positive influences complemented by very wide reading and world experiences. My separation/divorce was not acrimonious and did not involve any infidelity. I have traveled very widely (more than 24 countries) and have worked in Europe, Asia, as well as, of course, US. I believe my friends would say I am fun loving, intelligent, loving, loyal, kind. Devoted to Mary, Mother Teresa. Interested in Ignatian Spirituality, Chesterton. I would love to visit Holy Land soon. And from there, its only a short trip to the glories of Egypt and Africa! My favorite piece of devotional music is not one listed as a "choice" here. It is Ave Maria in both the Schubert and the Bach versions. I last heard it in from a hotel balcony in June in Madrid where an old cellist played it for me on the street below. It was gorgeous... Not to be morbid at all, but when I die, I hope it gets played at my funeral. I read widely dipping into sources from both the Left and the Right: thus from First Things to Commonweal, for example. I admire Chesterton, C.S. Lewis for their style and intellect, and take some comfort that the poets I admire greatly, including Eliot, Auden, Hopkins, Lowell, Berryman were all Catholic of some sort (or at least took the faith seriously enough to engage with it, unlike the tedious, superficial tack taken by the New Atheism). I have begun reading up on Ignatian Spirituality and am beginning to see how it can be of value.I am seriously imperfect but am honestly striving to find God. I have found tradition to be of most value in this quest.

I am an honest guy. I can be funny and witty, and have a wide sense of humor. I genuinely care about people and try to be sympathetic and empathetic to their issues. I am a good listener, though I may not have the right advice when you seek it. I am introverted and do not enjoy large crowds but would like to get to know people on a more individual, personalized level. I can be immature at times, while being serious at the appropriate times. I believe in solemnity and respect when it is called for. I take my job very seriously and keep a positive attitude when things get stressful; I look out for my coworkers. I am a strong believer of teamwork. My religion as a Catholic is very important to me. I am a virgin and will stay as such until marriage. I attend Mass every Saturday (as Sunday worship) and do not take The Lord's name in vain. I believe and have faith in God with all my heart and soul.
  • Robert, 48 from Rochester, NY
    48, Rochester, NY
Love my children and my Catholic faith. Father of three - youngest already in heaven. Active in parish, with Boy Scouts, and in the general community. Enjoy the outdoors, time with friends, woodworking, and watching movies. Being reliable and trustworthy are important to me, and I value these traits in others. I like to laugh with friends and colleagues often by poking fun at myself. For several years following marriage I accepted being single as the only option. I was more accepting of this than were my children and family. In 2014, I decided to ask God's will by petitioning for an annulment. Early on in the process a trusted friend suggested I use this time not worrying about the woman I might meet but becoming the man I would want to be for her. That felt great and hopefully I've been successful with our Lord's help. More recently, another trusted friend reminded me that God helps those who help themselves. So here I am. :) Being near my children happily keeps me and my relationship interests in Rochester, NY for now.

I am a man who is passionate about the things that I love in this life. Chief among my loves are my faith, my family, serving those in need, and my country. It is the latter two passions that motivate me to be a physician in the Navy. In the fall of 2017, I will be commissioned into the Navy Medical Corps and begin medical school. Following graduation I will be proud to serve those who are serving our country and their families. Of course there re two passions I list above those that direct my career path. God is at the helm of my life, and I want to find a wife who shares the same perspective and wants a marriage where faith is a top priority. I am actively involved in my parish inducing teaching RCIA and youth confirmation class, helping to plan the liturgy, and working with our Social Justice Committee to reach out to those in need in greater Rochester and around the world. You might ask why I do not work for the church or even consider being a priest. The simple answer is that I did, but I am a man who is multi-faceted, and I see an opportunity to serve God in the family life and in my career while also being active in a parish. In my spare time I enjoy skiing, watching sports, keeping up with the news, and of course growing in my faith.
