I am interested in establishing friendships to share activities of mutual interest. Friends might describe me as a "culture vulture" because I enjoy arts, exhibits, museums, concerts, etc. I love sacred choral music, opera, classical, but enjoy popular music of all types. I enjoy travel, festivals and love to learn about new things or places. I like movies because they introduce you to interesting people/places/plot lines (but I cry easily at movies, so be forewarned.) I have recently moved North Carolina, and would like to meet friends with whom to share mutual invitations to various activities. I have an annulment, but don't know what God has in mind for my life and have not yet pursued a new romance. I want to be content in Him, as He is totally sufficient for my needs. On the other hand, I would receive with joy the opportunity to love and be loved. I have wonderful children, and two grand babies (but I look forward to many more.) I enjoy thoughtful, interesting and intelligent friends who are willing to share and learn from one another. I appreciate caring and trusting relationships and am willing to share almost anything about myself as a friendship matures. I am safe and trustworthy and respect the needs and boundaries of others. Living in a new place, I miss the comfort of old friends with whom you are always at ease, and with whom joys/frustrations/happiness and hurts can be openly shared.

The spaces in your life and fingers were created so that another's hands could fill them. It is universally acknowledged, that a single man must be in want of further adoration of the blessed sacrament. I recently was engaged, and am now single again.

I am most passionate about life, living it to the fullest. I enjoy every minute. I am self employed and always hope to work because it keeps you young, I'm convinced of that. I am most passionate about my kids who are successful, and have one grandson. I want to see him reach his potential, of which he has much. I work because I never considered it to be work, being in sales is not a job. It is fun. In my leisure time I go to the gym, work out with weights, treadmill, whatever keeps my body ten years younger than it should be by most standards.

I love the outdoors and doing things like fishing, hiking, backpacking and just being outside. I can play five instruments but don't ever ask me to sing because I can't control the notes that may come out. Typically you can find me searching for a new project to do around my apartment or hanging out with my friends.

I'm a Motorsports Management major and Belmont Abbey College. BAC is a Benedictine college filled with monks and driven by Catholic tradition. My goal is to run a race team with the virtues Christ set out before us. I'm active at Mass, lectoring at the monastery every other week (and attending every week of course lol). I can't sing to save my life, but I do play drums. XP I hope to one day have a family that celebrates the faith. I pretty much made a snapchat just for this, if you want to talk more in-depth, here it is: cory.martin92 ps. 92 is not my birthyear. I'll explain later... If you're lucky lol

The most essential thing you need to know about me is that I fiercely and unrelentingly pursue Beauty, Truth, Goodness, and Love. I converted to Catholicism from a Baptist upbringing after a few years of wandering and searching for God because I became convinced that the Church, while imperfect, is the thing on the earth which is closest to God's heart. I'm not terribly conventional in my faith. For example, I see the value of the praying the rosary, venerating saints, and Eucharistic adoration, but am at a place in my faith where they don't particularly benefit me; furthermore, I don't feel that they are necessary but are rather beneficial practices for some (maybe even most) people. Again, I would defend these practices against those who would say that they're inappropriate or useless, but given the stage/kind of faith I have, they don't help me much. I love music, movement, eating and drinking, contemplating Truth, laughing; life in general. I'd consider myself to be a mixture of a Romantic and a Logician. If you were to run into me at some point during the day, you'd probably find me doing one of three things: 1. Doing some sort of work (manual or otherwise). 2. Running about and goofing around like a child. 3. Deeply meditating on CS Lewis, Chesterton, Aquinas, and life in general.

What is the mark of love for others? Not to seek what is for your own benefit, but what is for the benefit of the one loved, both in body and in soul. --St. Basil the Great "Pure love ... knows that only one thing is needed to please God: to do even the smallest things out of great love - love, and always love." (140) --Divine Mercy in My Soul, St. Faustina Love is the sweet and holy bond which links the soul with its Creator: it binds God with man and man with God. --Saint Catherine of Siena "The Eucharist is the Sacrament of Love; It signifies Love, It produces love. The Eucharist is the consummation of the whole spiritual life." --Saint Thomas Aquinas Everything comes from love, all is ordained for the salvation of man, God does nothing without this goal in mind." --St. Catherine of Siena "Lord, grant that I might not so much seek to be loved as to love." --Saint Francis of Assisi
