36, Raleigh, NCHi, I am Ed. I like to play golf and hockey. I am currently attending Wake Tech to receive a degree in Geomatics. I am originally from upstate NY and happy not to be living there any more. I hate the cold and would much rather be on a beach or a golf course on a sunny warm day. I was a Cavalry Scout in the Army and miss it very much, I sometimes wish I never left. I look forward to finishing my associates in Geomatics and continuing my education. I am here to find friends, socialize and everything else if I am lucky. I follow the rules for Catholics but I have not attend church lately. My faith is not strong, but I believe in morals and love that Catholics have. If you want a guy to be active in the church than keep looking, I'm not him.
36, Charlotte, NCI am not entirely sure what to say about me because often times I am extremely quiet and shy. I am laid back person and not much of a party person. I prefer someone who will listen to me when I have something to share to teach. Originally from Honduras, but grew in the US since 1992. My ultimate goal is to become the first astronaut for my country and want to share that with someone.
31, Apex, NCabout me... I just quit smoking. Yay. I'm complicated, like doing a lot of different things. I like to play games in and out of the house. I love hockey, I played for 10 years then went to college. left college to join the army (because that was a good idea lol) got injured and discharged. then just went to work... it took a while to find something that didnt bore me after 5 months and then I started driving trucks. I do it localy now and im home every day but I work long hours 11 hours + a day. I like what I do for the most part some days are better than others. I have a son who just turned 4. its a 50/50 split week on week off. so for the most part no baby mama drama (thank God). people who know me think I'm funny, and very intelligent. I'm devestatingly loyal to my friends and family. never really get the oh my God he's so sexy, lol just the wow he's cute. if that helps. im almost 5'10' and just over 200lbs I think its 203 right now. I have light brown hair, and my eyes change colors so i never know. i guess they are blue most of the time sometimes grey and yellow with a flick of green.I am kinda learning the guitar right now and have played the drums for a few years in the past. my family is big into music, singing and playing instraments. and singing professionaly I mean barbershop and bands and all that wonderfull stuff. looking for...... ok so I'm not really pickey but there has to be some attraction. I'm looking for someone who is self reliant not looking for someone to take care of, someone deticaded to her family and its progression as a unit. selfless, confident, independent, reliable, self aware, loving, kind, forgiving, (i mean im running out of adj. i know how to spell lol) you get the picture. and please have something intelligent to say. or anything to say, I want to be able to hold a conversation not talk to a wall. And if you made it this far you haven't even begun to scratch the serface. Lol. Looking forward to hearing from you...... Your move.
25, Durham, NCI am definitely most passionate about music. I graduated with a degree in Music Education from East Carolina University with a concentration in voice. I was very fortunate to be a member of the East Carolina University Chamber Singers for 3 years. I had some of the best times of my life in that group. My favorite things to sing were any kind of Sacred Music piece. Now that I am almost finished with my degree, I plan on returning to my church choir back home in Durham. Currently I just got a new job as a church musician for St. Matthews Catholic Church in Durham! I am excited to start! I would have to say that God has been by far the most influential, supportive, and stabilizing force in my life. I am absolutely nothing without Him. My family has also been especially loving and supportive of me. My Dad and brother are also both professional musicians and both influenced and supported me down my chosen path of being a music teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy watching a lot of crime dramas on television. I am also a sports fan (especially being an avid fan of the Carolina Hurricanes). I also play the piano as my secondary instrument and love to play the music of Frederic Chopin. Also I am indeed looking for a relationship. I am willing to take it as slow as it needs to be but I am looking for a woman that I can spend my time and life with in more than just a friendship. And the baby you see me holding in one of the photos is my nephew!
33, Middlesex, NCGlory to Jesus Christ! Dearest lady, I'm a very devout Catholic, observant of both Eastern Catholic and Western Catholic traditions and customs. I'm a father of one handsome and kind ten year-old boy and one beautiful and gentle nine year-old girl. In fact, they are my two most redeeming qualities. I'm a man of an ancient, long, and proud Welsh heritage, and at the same time, I'm a fiercely loyal North Carolinian. I'm a writer of all sorts of different things, a scholar, and a full-time student. I'm a Navy veteran, a sailor through and through, with enough salt in my blood to open a salt mine. But above all--I am a devout, honest, and loving Catholic gentleman. "Love is not concerned with a person's accomplishments, it is a response to a person's being: This is why a typical word of love is to say: I love you, because you are as you are." --Dietrich von Hildebrand
24, Oak Ridge, NCHey, it's Matthew and I am living back home in the greater Greensboro area after spending 5 years up at App State in Boone, NC. I'm just about to start a new, more permanent job in this area, so I'm hoping to stay in the Triad for a while. I am really strong in faith and always looking to improve and become a more prayerful Catholic as I believe it's important to have a great relationship with God and Jesus. My confirmation saint (and favorite person) is Jeremiah, the prophet who never wanted to be one and a wonderful example of faith. I have been involved with every church I have gone too, and Christian music is almost always playing on my radio! I just love God! My parents are my biggest role models and I am very close to them and enjoy a strong relationship with both. I also have 2 younger sisters, who I adore and love, and am also very close to. I'm a little dorky (aren't we all, though!?) and can sometimes be a little shy and distant, but once we get to know each other, we're friends for life. I have a small group of people who I'm proud to call my friends, and I am always willing to be a great listener and friend to anyone that needs it. In my spare time, I love to read, watch TV (especially baseball, hockey, basketball, football, etc and crime shows), travel and explore, watch movies, listen to music, and be involved with church. My Dad and I joined the Knights this year and I also have become involved in a local young adult ministry.
48, Matthews, NCI am passionate about travel and learning more. I love languages, history, and politics. I enjoy the arts - music, art, photography, and theatre. I'm an avid reader. Above all, though, I would love to meet a fellow Catholic to share our work towards our ultimate end - salvation.
26, Greensboro, NCI feel like I have finally made it through the "growing up and going to school" phase of life, so what now? I guess I'm working on that haha. Anyways, after college, I decided to be brave and move here from Idaho for my first engineering job. I have to say leaving everyone you know is pretty hard at times, but I've managed so far. I have a little 1-bedroom apartment in Greensboro, but I'm dying to get a garage with a house attached so I have space to put the truck and some new toys. I actually work in Martinsville, so I have lots of time to contemplate life during the commute. Theres a long story about why I'm working there and living here. I would say I fit in more with the country type. I didn't grow up on a farm and I'm not a redneck or anything, but I would like to think I am what people would call a "good ol' boy". I like almost everything you can think of outdoors like hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, kayaking, mountain biking, dirt bikes, 4-wheeler, taking the truck off-roading, archery, floating the river, playing frisbee golf, and so on. Ive also played hockey since I was 12 and still do on the rec leagues in Greensboro. I'm very motivated professionally, work hard, and am always trying to get ahead. I'm currently studying for the GRE so I can get my masters degree online. I can, and have fixed just about anything you can think of on a car. I'd love to be a design engineer in the automotive industry someday (preferably Dodge). I love building and designing things, and I think that's probably why I went into mechanical engineeringwell that and I come from a family that is densely populated with engineers. The good thing is now I can build and design things all I want, and use other people's money to fund it haha. I value friends and relationships in my life, and am the kind of guy that will gladly help them move or paint or rake leaves or whatever....as long as they have cold beer afterwards :) I have one sister who is an RN and lives in New York. The rest of my family is back West, but we still talk and stay close. Im very down to earth and value being open and honest with each other in a relationship. I'm also kind of a smart ass at times, it just comes out. That being said its always fun to have someone that doesnt get offended and can throw it right back at me.
33, Greensboro, NCWhen I characterize myself to myself, I often find that I am - or desire to be - equal parts poet, philosopher and saint (Many good things come in threes!). That is, I try to be well rounded, and balance the life of the mind and spirit. I am introverted, but love being around people. Passionate, energetic people pull the most out of me, but I love quiet times of conversation, as well. I love the variety of a diverse community, or of being a part of several different communities. I am currently a (public) school librarian, and love it. I split my time between two schools, one elementary and one middle. I'm still working on my Master's in Library Science. I came to this because I have always loved to read, and reading is still perhaps my most beloved past time. This does mean stories (fantasy is my favorite), but I mostly read non-fiction and love learning about so many aspects of the world. In short, I'm a nerd. However, I am also passionate about diet and exercise. I study kung fu, going on 3 years now. I do write poetry on occasion. Finally, I try to have an active social life.
