I am widowed after 40 years of marriage to a beautiful and wonderful wife; now widowed for 9 years. I have three sons, all good Catholics, one married and one with four children (grand daughter 15 and grandson 13, grand daughter 10 and grandson 7). One unmarried son is a free lance lay Catholic missionary. I am a practicing Catholic and a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. I am an retired engineer. However, I continue to perform consulting services at a rate of about one-fourth time and volunteer at my parish parrocial school in math and science. I am in good health and financially independent. I enjoy the outdoors and an uncomplicated life. I enjoy travel, entertaining friends, cooking, fishing, other water sports and geneaology. I love studying my Catholic faith. I'm a romantic and enjoyed making my deceased wife and recently deceased best friend happy.

I am passionate about my faith and relationships -- which is usually one of the main avenues where we work out our faith... My faith anchors and orders my life. I look forward to spending time with my kids and visiting with close friends. I also enjoy a nice bike ride or a fall walk or having my mind challenged by a good book. The most influential people in my life have been my parents. Although they passed away a number of years ago they still continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I appreciate them because they sought to instill faith in their children, sacrificed to give us a better life and taught us to have fun along the way. My appreciation for them has grown with the years. Strange as it might sound, one of the most formative experiences of my life was my divorce. While our marriage had all the normal stresses -- time, finances, and raising four kids, I never considered divorce as an solution. Nevertheless, when one spouse chooses that option, the union can't survive. The grief and pain had its graces. It was the avenue by which God demonstrated his love and faithfulness, birthed a deeper faith and brought me back to the Catholic church. I also learned two hard but needful truths. First, no matter the circumstances -- He is present in all we go through. And two - if we let it -- His grace can be the best route to holiness. I came to these truths late in life.... But I'm thankful God is patient. In my spare time I enjoy reading, listening to music and exploring new places. I must add that I am something of a college basketball junkie - my favorite sport....

I am passionate regarding my faith. I wish to enjoy and share my life with another. Being independent is fine, yet knowing you can count on the other person is comforting. My family and friends, and especially the Lord have influenced me in a positive way. My leisure time would include Mass (I do not consider it as an obligation, it is more like a privilege to me), yard work, painting (landscapes, not the house), reading, conversing, walking and exercise. Seeing a sunset or sunrise is beyond words. It is just one of those things you need to experience yourself.

Greetings! I'm a professional, practicing Catholic from a large loving Italian and Irish family (5 siblings and 11 nieces and nephews) who relocated to North Carolina to be closer to family and my elderly parents. Previously, I lived and worked in NYC and Washington, DC and have traveled to many places for business and pleasure. I try to keep fit with daily workouts and look young for my age thanks to good genes and a healthy diet. My interests are diverse. Cooking and entertaining friends and family at home tops the list. I'm pretty good at creating meals from scratch! And I also enjoy outdoor activities including running, hiking, kayaking, SUP, and fishing. Cultural interests include listening to live music, the arts, especially theater, musicals, and documentary films. Most activities on or near the water with the beautiful beaches in Coastal Carolina would interest me. I'm a romantic, thoughtful and spiritual man who is active in my parish, and has great friends and family, and on this site seeking the right person to share it all with.

My life's passsion is constantly evolving as I strive to create a balance with work, relationships, fitness, and rest. The minute I'm seeking my life's passion, I'm living it by helping people and watching them make new discoveries about their abilities and strengths to acomplish things they never believed they could acomplish. My passion isn't just a destination- it's a journey. I'm enjoying the process of uncovering it, especially during my years as a ski instructor in VT. My passion was to challenge each student to find their own balance and overcome the fears of falling. The joyful display of happiness that resulted from a student over coming their fears and successfully negotiating a slope was extremely gratifying.

My life has been so rich and varied in experiences that I cannot sum them simply or generalize them. It's as though I've lived ten lifetimes in one. Name a theme in life and there's been exceptional experiences... I'll add more later.

I enjoy SHARING the simple things in life. Prayer. Friends. Good conversation. Companionable silence. Animals of all kinds -- especially dogs, cats, and horses. Reading. Cooking. Unhurried meals. Walking -- especially on the beach but also in the mountains. Running. Biking. Swimming. Boating. Growing and building things. Exploring new places. I'm an up front, transparent guy. I say what I mean and mean what I say. I'm forward looking. I look to the the future, learn from history but am not encumbered by the past.

I am on this journey of living life to be honest and to love my family. I have loved and lost and I am not discouraged by the obstacles that life presents to us. I have seen the worst and the best of human nature. The life were given is no accident. My handshake is my word. I search every day for my purpose. The people who selflessly give up there life for the service of others have been the most influential to me. Having lived in N.Y. at the time of the 911 attack. It is my passion to see as much of America as I can. I have traveled to many places already. But there is so much more to see. I would like to share that experience with a partner who share the same values. I enjoy Bluegrass music, 60' thru 90's most country music. Theater, Plays, Concerts RV'ing, Lite hiking, Biking The Beach and the Mountains. Long drives during the Autumn colors.
