Fun loving, outgoing professional looking to try something new. I may be one of the few left that believes chivalry may be ailing but is not dead. In that regard I would say I am "old fashioned" but i believe respect, honesty and loyalty are important character traits. Now that doesn't mean I'm a stick in the mud! Sure I work hard but enjoy playing hard also. I do have children and love nothing more than goofing off on the weekends whether its doing some traveling, basketball at home or just going to the park. I can be happy doing just about anything. Whether its going to the beach, enjoying a movie at home to just throwing a dart on the map Saturday morning and go exploring. I like various kinds of music, I am a "car guy" but no a fanatic. Oh, and if you're still reading I am a Duke Basketball fan! So to bottom line it, I'm just a genuine person who would enjoy spending time with someone equally as normal!

My passions are.... after being a stage 4 cancer survivor I'm trying to be more adventurous and push my limits to the best of my ability. Less than 3 weeks ago I tandem jumped from 13000 feet. I absolutely loved it. I know 13000 feet is not very high. Eventually I will go higher and solo. It's a six hour class to do so. I will wait as long as I can to pull that cord then I will have fun getting crazy. Any one want to join me? I made a promise to one of my sisters I didn't think I would have to keep. When I was diagnosed, she asked me after I beat cancer if I would run a marathon with her. I thought I would die, so I told her yes. I said yes just to make her feel I wasn't going to give up. Well I lived. As a lad I was a long distance runner; only difference, back then I was much faster. Last year after getting enough strength back and training for a year I ran/walked the Nashville Country Music Marathon and the Virginia Beach and Savannah 1/2 marathon and mega 5k's in between. I can't say I I'm completely thrilled with running but for me; It's the open road hitting the feet on the pavement, the alone time, thinking and listening to my tunes. It's good for the mind and body. It's great therapy in both regards.

I am passionate about getting God's life and righteousness to the whole world including into the culture so that everyone can grow up being taught the truth and goodness of God, so that there is goodness for people to dwell in instead of the lack and corruption they replace it with.

  • Patrick, 50 from Asheville, NC
    50, Asheville, NC
Hello there ladies, yes, I am authentically Irish, and was born just a few hours or so after St. Patrick's Day. I'm am very open minded, spontaneous, non- judgmental, loyal, and a spiritual person. I am 50 years old, single, 5' 7", about 180 pounds, with short reddish / gray hair , a goatee, and blue green eyes. Caring for people on different levels is important to me, and I try to bring that with me in my work as a CNA. I enjoy conversations, dancing, long walks, photography, I play bass guitar and have a wide variety of taste in music and movies. I am not looking for someone to complete me, & yet I know that I'm not perfect. I have a son who lives with his mom, who is the world to me & nothing can ever compare to being a father. I would like to get to know a woman over time and develop a long term relationship and go from there. I do have a special affinity for bbw's, and curvy women with a little "extra padding" , always have, mostly because they are comfortable with who they are, and don't look to fit in with the typical society standard of super skinny barbie doll models, so I am looking for a woman who is confident, accepts herself for who she is, who is loyal, has a good sense of humor and knows what she wants in life. Also of course I am attracted and open to women who are thinner, or smaller as well. Hopefully you'll also have a great appreciation for a wide variety of styles of music, or be open to exploring more. As I am affectionate and tactile, it would be nice to meet a woman who appreciates a tender touch, and affection both receiving & giving. I would like to have a special woman in my life to share my life with, seek new adventures, and for mutual support in the triumphs and trials of this life. I am fine with traveling to the surrounding area of Asheville, and Waynesville. So if you're looking for your very own red headed leprechaun type....look no further. We can exchange photos, emails and phone numbers, if this is something you feel comfortable in doing. Let's explore the possibilities.

I enjoy travel and experiences. I haven't done as much of that as I want, so I'm looking to do more. My children are important to me even though I don't have them all the time. They come before any relationships/activities. Durham transplant (16 years ago) from a tropical paradise. Sometimes I wonder why I left! :) I do enjoy Durham and it's a great place to be. I'm a child of the 80s. The decade that gave us Big Hair Bands, Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper and many more talented voices. But we were not just individualists, we learned how to give back with Farm Aid, Band Aid and We are the World. I admit my crush on Molly Ringwald. Sixteen Candles is one of my favorite all time movies! The 80s gave us hope in the underdog (Revenge of the Nerds, Sixteen Candles, Rocky) and I still root for the underdog. I'm not much of a movie watcher, but do enjoy movies from the 80s and horror movies. That little rush of adrenaline when you're scared out of your wits is fun! (this is not a requirement, my kids and I enjoy watching.) Riding my motorcycle is something I enjoy and at least once a year I like to unplug and just take a weekend trip. No cell phone or internet. When I can, I go scuba diving. Two of my children are certified as well and it gives me QT with them. Plus it's water! I love cooking and cook just about daily. My kids say I should go on a show like Chopped, but I would never win. I'm too simple - sometimes just salt and pepper and you are done. Maybe add garlic and onions. Chef's that mask the flavor of the underlying item by smothering it in sauce or so many herbs it loses it's flavor is a turnoff for me hence my love for sushi - really good sushi not the 'California Roll' type. (yes, I'm spoiled there..)
