You live your life as best you can. Working and building but sometimes it seems to get past you. You look up and realize things might have passed you by. So, maybe you do something like this. Never cared much for bar scenes and I'm not too keen on publishing all my hopes and dreams on some electronic newspaper. But, I can tell you that I am a decent and responsible guy who is interested in finding someone to share conversations and experiences, and perhaps something more. What I have been able to figure out is that it's not just how you live your life but who you share those hopes and dreams with. The right person can make even a tedious chore a joyful thing. Well, I hope this came out right. Let me know if youre interested. Thanks for your time.

I am not entirely sure what to say about me because often times I am extremely quiet and shy. I am laid back person and not much of a party person. I prefer someone who will listen to me when I have something to share to teach. Originally from Honduras, but grew in the US since 1992. My ultimate goal is to become the first astronaut for my country and want to share that with someone.

A well travelled man with a great sense of humor who has been widowed now for almost 3 years. Miss having that special person to dine out and have stimulating conversation on a wide range of topics. Over the past 10 years , I have been very involved with my parish and diocese in various leadership roles. I have had a successful business career and now enjoy doing select business consulting and advisory engagements . As how others describe me, well hopefully they are being kind and say I am generally good natured and easy going. Maybe that's the Canadian in me. I moved from Canada to the USA in 1980 and became a citizen in 2011. Some might describe me a a bit traditional and somewhat buttoned up. I can't imagine too many times I would go to Mass without a blazer or suit jacket on. I get much of my news from newspapers and a good day will have me reading a local paper, the Financial Times and the New York Times, ( I just heard a few gasp I think) :). My favorite magazines are the Economist and the New Yorker. A peek in my closet would tell you I like Brooks Brothers, Tommy Bahama, LL Bean and Dockers . Shocking to many but I don't own a pair of denim jeans. I don't watch TV that much except for streaming the occasional movie , some news and history....oh yes and hockey went its worth watching. I enjoy planned ( and spontaneous) travel and my Trip Advisor map has lots of pins on it for almost all continents. On eating out, I love a great dining experience that allows me to linger and chat for hours with the person I am with. Though many women might like paying the bill, I tend to be more convincing that a gentleman should pick up the tab. As for what I am looking for at this early stage, well probably meeting someone that shares my values though their views might be different. Getting to know another woman after being married before is a bit like walking on ice.....never knowing it's thickness. Exciting at times but tricky non the less. God has given me some great Guardian angels and I thank Him nightly for this.

Hey all.... who's out there?... 3/20/16 -- my account is no longer active. Been divorced over 7 years now, ready to meet someone special-- it would be nice to have somebody to go to church with! It's been a little difficult to find a nice Catholic gal down here in the deep South! My last (of 3) child has now gone off to college, so I'm now officially an "empty-nester" ! I'm a semi-retired surgeon and don't work 90 hours a week anymore. My pics show some of the activities I enjoy; I just returned from a ski trip, and also recently began playing golf again. Ultimately I'm interested in connecting with someone deeply, sharing life together.

My buddies are pushing me "to get back out there and meet someone." I like to have an intelligent conversation with a date. I cannot stand uninformed people or those use words like "irregardless". Also, I like take someone out that is driven, ambitious, sweet, good sense of humor, and wants something more out of life. There is more to life than just the run of the mill everyday things. Unfortunately, I am finding most the women on this dating site either: (1) Have some underlying emotional problem that they have not dealt with or they do not want to deal with the issue, or (2) What they state on their profile is not how they come across when they message me. I am opinionated and conservative in my thinking. Also, I have a really crass sense of humor. I am often told, I should had been a comedian. More about me, I am a single-father, of a daughter to be precise, so someone who is kid-friendly is mandatory. Finally, I enjoy going for long walks, swimming, bowling, and traveling either locally or a-far.. I like to share the opportunity of traveling, reading, intellectual debate, and being able to relax. I truly enjoy being a nerd. If you like Scrabble, Pictionary, Yahtzee, Sorry, Rummy, Spades, Hearts, Poker and other card games, then I am your man. My mind needs to be stimulated as well as the rest of me. I need to engage with someone that is both intellectual and laid-back. Also, I went to Alabama for my Ph.D (Roll Tide). Therefore, a Crimson Tide fan would be nice but not necessary. Auburn fans are fine but be prepared to take receive some college football trash talking. LOL In essence, I want to have fun with someone and see where it goes. At this point, I am no rush. I am taking my time with my return to the dating world. But, it would be nice to meet someone that can expand my interests, have intelligent conversation using facts and logic, and introduce me to new fun activities.
  • Christopher, 39 from Raleigh, NC
    39, Raleigh, NC
The best thing that ever happened to me was my conversion to the Catholic Church 10 years ago. I'm pro-life and pro-family, and I try to avoid politics as much as civic duty will allow. My work brought me to Raleigh from New Hampshire in 2013, and I enjoy the Triangle area, the climate, and the Southern friendliness. I try to contemplate the beauty of God and His creation at every moment of my life. In my spare time, I like to walk on the Greenway, play tennis with friends, travel, visit museums, hear concerts and practice photography.

Enjoy living in country, on 17 acres with 5 cows. Mow and put up hay starting in May thru Nov., depending on amount of rain that falls. Not a good cook, so have to improvise at meal time. Can boil water and fix grits and eggs. Like bacon, ham or sausage with eggs, toast, jelly and grits or hash brown. Like to relax at home in evening, like to enjoy the NC mtns when possible, also like beach but prefer mtns. Have had to go to beach during summer months due to having had children so keeping them out of school in May or Sept. wasn't an option. Would like to try beach in spring or fall.

I keep active. I travel all the time. I've run a few marathons-I'd like to run one on each continent. I'd like to get fluent in Spanish and if time allows, get better at Italian. I have outstanding taste in music and my guacamole changes lives. I drive a 2004 Volvo, my blood type's B-Neg, but the attitude's B-Pos, I'm a meat-eater standing for the ethical treatment of animals and I'll always prefer a manual transmission.

I have two daughters, so naturally they are my first priority. I own a business and I love my job, but I know how to unplug when I come home. I'm serious about serious things, but I have a bit of a childish sense of humor, and often laugh at some really ridiculous stuff (movies, tv shows, etc.). After the boyish charm wears off you will eventually find me either brilliant and endearing or foolish and annoying. I enjoy most sports but if given the choice I would much rather play them than watch them. I like being active, and I take pretty good care of myself, but also know how to relax.
