This is a challenge, to say the least. I have retired from the Navy, and have been spending time on family matters here in Ohio. Best friends are on the Pacific and Atlantic coastlines, and after all the years on or near the saltwater, the Pacific Northwest and Alaska are home. Pope Benedict's "Summorum Pontificum" on the Tridentine Mass is the best Catholic news I can recall, and I look forward to its reverence and timeless, peaceful strength. Serving and chanting it again would be wonderful as well. Though I've been able to spend 10 to 12 hours per day, 6 days a week working alone in the Douglas fir forests or on a farm in Oregon, finding my name in the new Wyoming Carmelites' potential-hermit book might be a rough go. I do spend most of my free time with younger people. Never a Dad, I've been uncle and coach to nieces and nephews, entire swimming, volleyball and track teams, and homeschooling and Navy families (reportedly ruining some of their moppet offspring). I also volunteer in Pro-Life efforts, where more and more of the dedicated, younger troops are gathering, and on high school blood drives with the nearby Catholic hospital's blood services team. During Vespers at WYD 2002 in Toronto, Pope Saint John Paul II told us that " . . . Holiness is always youthful, just as eternal is the youthfulness of God." His words are unforgettable, and so they must be the good and true course to steer. Against all odds, I have a heart for the underdog. I tend to be healthy; cabin fever is the worst ailment I know. Almost forgot - character: sometimes I am trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. And sadly, sometimes not.

How does one sum their own selves up in words??.....pizza...the color blue...and the navy.....there that's 3 words...ha!!.. :o) .... seriously though, we are perhaps the worst judges of our own selves...as we are somewhat biased....i'm like everyone else...i like to smile, play, be a kid, talk (too much probably :o) , eat, sleep, ponder, wonder, wish, and pray...... for more cookies that is :o)........... philosophical ....old-fashioned...romantic....i'm scatter-brained.. empathetic...caring...i worry about other people being hurt..... ......often i can be too serious......and it can take me a while to get comfortable with people (during which time i am "cool cucumber"..charming and the such ) ..but when i get excited (and comfortable) ..i turn into a goofy 5 year old :o)...and then watch out!!..i talk a lot...friendly...smile easily...eccentric..etc...... ..i am honorable (i've been told)...honest (i've been told)....principled (so i'd like to think)...smart (always in the eye of the beholder).... I was an electronics engineer... but i did not like that (not a lot of human interaction)...so now i moved and go to Steubenville (Franciscan University) while i make efforts to do nursing locally.... pray for success :o) I don't watch tv (i do sometimes netflix stuff on my computer....and if i am somewhere...where TV is available.....FOXNEWS..lol)....uhh..VERY pro-life....today's culture is very bad...my mindset is more 200 years ago (but with smartphones and showers :o) .....had a rough childhood...so always afraid of getting hurt and stuff .... hopefully i'm not too boring...(i like history, news, sci-fi...churchy stuff)... and i use a lot of "....." in place all all grammar / punctuation ...lol and i normalllllly go to sunday / holy day masses with some weekdays....but I am in Steubie now ...so I go almost everyday...so that counts... :o)

I enjoy helping others to be successful in their goals. I am passionate about establishing a catholic-base private nonprofit to provide an opportunity for those slipping through the cracks earn a good catholic education, besides assist the needs of abortion alternative clinics, food pantries, veteran organizations, and various needs of children. I truly enjoy attending Mass as often as possible along with adoration and a solid sacrament of confession. its also good to have a balance in eating healthy and working out at the gym which attaining this balance is always a work in progress

How was the weather?..i hope fine, i think its time you wanna check about my profile and here are the first steps of things to know about me. # 1 I have been a loving, caring and involved dad for 16 years! # 2 I will love and respect you! # 3 I am honest and faithful! # 4 I will choose a night out with you over watching FSU spank UF or UM any day! # 5 I will sit and listen to you tell me about your day, and I will tell you about mine! # 6 Humor! I laugh in the face of Humor # 7 Always leave the seat down! # 8 No drama or issues! # 9 You can teach an old dog new tricks! #10 You never know when I might win the lottery! #11 I will miss you if you get eaten by a shark! What I tell you now comes from the softest spot of my heart. I have had the previlege of being a single dad to an outstanding daughter. My proudest accomplishment in life. I have dedicated 15 years to raising her, and I will always be here for her. My daughter has been my primary interest for so many years. Now that she is grown a little and might be off to college very soon , i will be 100% alone and lonely so i wouldnt like that to happen. Time to renew old interest and discover new ones. I am open to almost any experince. For those that have raised your children to adulthood; I need not explain that statement. For those of you still raising children; your day is coming. I want to find someone that I can share and spend the rest of my life with. Do you remember your first love? The way you felt every time you were together. How ever minute apart you were anticipating the moment when you would be together again. The warmth you felt when you snuggled up together. The holding hands, the little glances, the looking into each others eyes and the smiles just because you were nearby. I want to find someone to share all those feelings and more. I want to meet the love of my life.
