My approach to things has been/is usually cautiously optimistic - is the glass half empty? I'd like to think I am independent, but in this fiercely competitive global economy it's apparent that we need each other for support and enrichment and to journey together in life

  • Joseph, 23 from Oshawa, CA
    23, Oshawa, CA
I've been a catholic my whole life and I'm still learning new things about my faith everyday. A recent graduate (sort of) of an engineering school. Working at this pro audio company (hillsong anyone?) My typical friday night usually revolves around church activities, movie theater or books. Mitch albom is my favourite author so far in case you're wondering. What am I looking for? Long term relationship (and yes marriage eventually) Family is also really important to me. I'm usually more attracted to someone after knowing more about their relationship with their family! I'm also open to friendship, I'm all into helping as many people get into heaven :)

    23, Melancthon, CA
Hi my name is David! I'm an enthusiastic young guy who's always looking forward to trying out something new. Writing, as well as composing new music are for me an essential of life, and are the perfect way to express who I am inside, and what I love to do. Artwork -usually only the bright colourful stuff- is one of the things I really go for. And even though I'm not much of a gamer anymore, playing through a good one like Final Fantasy 15 is something I truly enjoy. As for the most influential people in my life I'd most certainly have to say it has been my parents and 5 brothers and 3 sisters. I love them more than myself. Writing, as well as spending some time with my family and doing whatever it is that they're doing are among my favorite things. I've always been the humorous sort, especially around loved ones (though I am a bit shy around co-workers). Making jokes to lighten up a situation is what me and my youngest brother are best at (Though you did NOT hear that from me!). The Lord has always been my shepard; I try daily to remind myself of that; he leads me and I do my best to follow him. Praise to The Lord: The almighty, The King of creation! (I learned that one from a song my Mom taught us when we were children.)

  • Vladimir, 35 from Toronto, CA

There's a story about St. Augustine, who while contemplating the Trinity, ran into a kid on a beach trying to pour the entire ocean into a little hole he had dug in the sand. The saint, when told by the boy what he was doing, laughed and told him that he was nuts for trying, only to be zinged right back with 'so, what then, makes YOU think you can fit the mystery of the Triune God into your small mind?' (spoiler, the boy was an angel, and God is the master of one-liner comebacks). I've always liked this story, because in many ways, I often find myself trying to 'fit the whole world into my head', mostly because my hunger for new understanding, knowledge and skills sometimes turns me into a scatterbrain who buys too many books on subjects such as avian architecture, film noir posters, Russian prison tattoos, medieval illuminations, the history of beer, childhood linguistic development, and Japanese heraldry, all the while trying to learn woodturning, jewellery making, or metalworking in my spare time. I love offbeat TV comedies, cerebral sci-fi, dystopian dramas, 80s action flicks, documentaries and indie films, and everything else in-between. Underneath it all, however, I love that veiled mystery of the Divine that has been at the core of every creative endeavour throughout the endless ages, that drives me to understand it better, and through it come to know God the Creator of all, and every person made in his image.

Hi there. I am new here. Single now. My marriage has also been annulled. Physically fit, happy, perceptive, funny, passionate, ambitious and optimistic. Used to be a chef, so yes I cook. I can crack you up :) Not into games. Looking for something real and long term. Not much of a writer, but ask me anything! I am very family oriented and looking for someone with the same Catholic values. I want a marriage for life. Nothing short term. Chris.
