66, Portland, ORMy two oldest children have finished college, and are out in the world. My youngest is almost there. I am upgrading and remodeling my home. I would like to finish my degree requirements. I read a lot, exercise, and help my brother on the farm. I would like to start some kind of volunteer work, visit children, take a few photos [ film guy way back, I was recently given the loan of a digital camera ]. It is strange not being responsible for anyone else after all those years. I would like to re-enter the "life of the mind" , go to the beach and mountains again, and just have a little time "on the road". I have always been an intensely family oriented guy. Since my youngest started football, I have had "empty arms syndrome". I am conservative in politics. I have a contemplative streak, and can sit watching nature for hours. I owned and raced motorcycles when young, and would like to see some races again, and perhaps ride again. Even through all the trials, God has been very good to me. I've tried to make clear to my children how important John Paul II was to the Church and the world. I managed to get my two oldest through Catholic schools.. While married, our kids were home schooled, and had opportunities to meet priests and nuns in all sorts of settings, not just at church or school. I guess a good description might be that I am at loose ends now after all those years of scrambling every day, House is way too quiet now! I tend to get very intense in discussions of morality, ethics, politics, and standards. Though I've been out of touch for so long, these are fascinating times in which to live,

36, Portland, ORI never know what to say here...well, I was born and raised in P-town. I have many diverse and sometimes contradictory interests. I love knowledge, philosophy, syfi (especially Star Wars), video game, psychology and too many to keep listing. I work in behavioral health care and want to gorder back to school soon to get my master's in counseling. 32, Portland, ORI am a student at the University of Portland after serving in the US Army for five years. I have learned how to look at what happens in life and see the positive roles that come with each lesson. In my off time, I love exploring the area around me. Whether that's the city I'm in or the country outside, I am an explorer and I enjoy meeting new people and trying new things. I believe you can never stop learning from the world around you. I am an Eagle Scout, I believe in telling the truth and doing what is right, even though it's hard or not the most popular choice to make. I love whitewater rafting, skydiving, I enjoy roadtrips and getting away to just relax.
47, Hood River, ORA little about me... I'm fast on my way to becoming a sedevacantist. After much deliberation, I reached this conclusion by reading the papal encyclicals of Popes Gregory XVI, Leo XII, Leo XIII, Benedict XIV, Pius VII, Blessed Pius IX, Pius XI, Pius XII, and most famously Saint Pius X. The Magisterium has many times condemned the utterly false ideas of ecumenism, "freedom of conscience", and religious liberty - which all triumphed at Vatican II. "Against the Sillon" by Pope Saint Pius X nails it succinctly. This is not news. Modernist theologians such as Josef Ratzinger (Benedict XVI) readily admit it. Just to be honest, this is where my theology. Also, I've read large amounts of material from all sides of the argument so, for example, I will no longer attend a Novus Ordo service because it was designed to be not Catholic. Anyway, I'll stop here as these are some main reasons and this is not supposed to be a dissertation!
36, Portland, ORHello, my name is David and I am blessed with three beautiful children who are my world. I come from a family of ten with seven of us boys and three girls, and I am the youngest. I work in an ambulance here in Portland. I'm hoping to finish school this coming year in hopes of becoming a career firefighter. Furthermore, I am a member of the knights of Columbus, a Sunday school teacher, and a Volunteer Firefighter. I enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, swimming, canoeing, the zoo, beach, lakes, waterfalls, parks, or even just a stroll around the block.
43, Portland, ORI love to think and feel deeply. I am a natural Meyers-Briggs INFP personality type... a very Intuitive, iNtroverted, Feeling, Perceiving individual. I have volunteered nearly 600 hours over the course of 3 years on a suicide hotline, and worked at a drug and alcohol treatment facility, in the hope of making a difference in the lives of others. I dream of becoming a counselor someday (among other ideas), and I deeply love classical music... opera, symphonies, and things of great beauty and expression of the human spirit.
50, Portland, ORHey! I am a revert after 30 years as an Atheist. I'm pretty determined to remain a faithful Catholic. Having been essentially a selfish pagan I never got married because I had figured it would be a bother. I now understand the beauty of the sacrament to help me to be who the Lord wants me to be.
