58, McMinnville, ORMost people guess me to be in my 40's because exercising allows me to be healthy and look younger. I think it's important to continue to create a stronger self so I do a lot of reading and attend classes and seminars that deal with psychological, motivational and religious themes. Trust Psychology is a great class that everyone should take. I've been a teacher for 16 years and have coached primarily MS football and HS baseball. I'm a guy who tries to live his life in such a way that things are fun but the end result is peace of mind - a great source of fulfillment.
60, Salem, ORI am a cradle catholic, I am the fourth child of six with one adopted brother.I attended catholic school. I am active in my parish where I am the lead usher at the 8:15 mass. I also enjoy volunteering in the Interfaith hospitality network at my parish. I just recently retired after 34 yrs in the brick masonry const. trade. I am wanting to work part time but not in the construction trade (just to hard on this old body of mine :-). I have been divorced for almost 6 yrs. My marrige has been annuled and I am free to marry in the church. I have three children, a son 24 and two daughters 22 and 20 years old. And also two grandsons. Family is very important to me, we still have family get togethers as often as we can. My faith is very important to me as well. Since my divorce I have dated a few women, some of which were not of my faith. I found it very tiresome trying to explain my Catholic faith and at times defending it. I beleive that it would be more rewarding to meet and date someone of my own faith. Someday I hope to marry again in the church, when and with whom I don't know, only our Father knows. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, camping, (I refuse to sleep on the ground tho) fishing, garage sales, and car shows. I also enjoy golfing, I'm not real good at it but I hold my own against my golfing buddies.I am hoping to meet someone that enjoys some of my interest and maybe introduce me to some of her own.I am not to old to try something new. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. If there is something about me that sparks an interest, drop me a line, I will reply. Good luck in your search and God bless.
36, Portland, ORI never know what to say here...well, I was born and raised in P-town. I have many diverse and sometimes contradictory interests. I love knowledge, philosophy, syfi (especially Star Wars), video game, psychology and too many to keep listing. I work in behavioral health care and want to gorder back to school soon to get my master's in counseling. My family is hugely important to me, my sister and I are as close or closers than Jon Snow and Arya Stark. I am a nearly completely open book so feel free to ask me anything.
36, Sublimity, ORHello, My name is Chris.I am new to this online dating thing and a little skeptic about it, but I thought I would give it a try. Well, here it goes. I am a practicing Catholic and my faith and family are very important to me.I attend mass every week and every holy day.I try to help out in my parish when I can.I pray the rosary, chaplet of divine mercy, and chaplet of unity of Jesus king of all nations, along with some other prayers daily.I try to read the daily readings if I can as well. I would say I am on the shy side at first until I get to know you then I will open up,also am introverted and at times like alone time to recharge.I am honest, caring, and loyal.I like to make others laugh when I can and bring others up when they are feeling down and give them some words of encouragement. On the down side I can be stubborn at times.(We all have faults) I very rarely drink and never have more than one drink. It's just not my thing.I would rather have a soda pop, water, or ice tea anyday over a alcoholic drink. I am not into the bar scene at all and never have been and not much of a party animal neither.I pretty much lead a boring life when it comes to those things.I do not smoke, chew, or do drugs at all. It's not for me. I am the youngest of 4 children and was born and raised in Oregon. All of my siblings are within less than an hour drive away.I grew up on a family farm where I still currently work along with some of my family members.Farming is not a 8-5 job.It has some very long hours at certain times of the year, which has made it harder to meet someone.I would not trade growing up on a farm and living out in the country for anything. It has been a great blessing God has given me.I would love to find that special someone and be able to raise a family out in the country someday. The farming life is part of me and don't ever see myself not working in some part of agriculture.I also love to grow ornamental trees and shrubs as it is a deep interest of mine.I don't see myself living anywhere far away from my current area, but you never know God may have different plans.I like the outdoors and I like going up to the mountains, but haven't been able to go as much as I used to. Well, that's about all for right now Thanks for looking God bless
35, Portland, ORNerd of the diverse kind, in a quasi-obsessive sort of way. Right now, I'm up for talking with people; getting to know them, their stories. I'm usually up for a discussion, or debate over a good cup of coffee, or bottle of beer; a decent meal would be icing on top. I'm fairly loyal to people, when I get to know them, and they get to know me. I'll spend time at the Martial Arts gym/dojo - either in Sherwood, or St. John's. Most of the time, I'll be attending Church services, at parishes, in town, if I'm not found working, or relaxing
54, Ashland, ORI have been a physical therapist for the past 30 years and also a baseball coach for the last 13 years. I have developed a Catholic Baseball Team for the Catholic Faith called Catholics In Action. I have received world wide recognition for the team through EWTN. I would love to find my beloved who would share in this ministry with me and travel the world evangelizing the faith and forming our future Catholic ambassadors. I have a passion for children especially orphans and feel called to this ministry. I am an inventor of fitness equipment and also have had my own business for 12 years. My ideal mate would be in love with children, possibly a school teacher or nurse and like to stay fit and like to travel and explore. She would like the country life and possibly have grown up with horses or the ranch life. I believe 4 things are important to a compatible relationship. The love of the Lord, children, have a light sense of humor and share common ambitions and goals. Liking the game of baseball is a prerequiste since my life revolves around the sport.
74, Aurora, ORI have reconnected with my former Catholic life. I'm looking forward to meeting someone with whom I can enjoy social activities: dinners, hiking, visiting (e.g. Black Butte home), travel (e.g. riverboat cruises in Europe), symphony, going to movies, golfing and many others. I am known as a "connector" with people I've met through my work--from FORTUNE magazine editors to entrepreneurs--a skill that I initially developed at Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio) as homecoming chair, and continued through life. My focus in this regard has always been an interest in people-- their work, activities, personalities, and their interests-- and how I might help them. I have a unusual combination of background work related experiences from corporate executive in New York to dean of a School of Management in Oregon, with two successful entrepreneurial venture and as a professor, teaching HBS cases in an MBA program. Throughout these varied experiences I have been blessed with several mentors, the most memorable of which are a university president and an academic strategy consultant. My leisure time is just beginning and I'm seeking a person to enjoy and share it with, from golfing to outdoor activities, simply being together to learn from each other would sum up my interest. I do volunteer on several boards, am a business mentor in the Mercy Corps program and have recently joined the Oregon Symphony as an ambassador, which continues my connection to the Northwest business and nonprofit communities.
28, Portland, ORHi, I am a straight forward guy. In my free time I enjoy spending it with my family, as they are very important to me, spending time with friends, experimenting in the kitchen, Working on cars, dancing, etc.
20, Troutdale, ORHello there! As you can tell from the name above, I'm Edward! I joined this site not too long ago and the reasons are self-explanatory. I look forward to chatting with other people and seeing what that leads to! I don't really know how to fill out a profile like this so I guess I can introduce some basic things. I am currently an undergrad majoring in History with the end goal of either working as a secondary school teacher or getting into local government. I love history very much, from the random facts to the interpretation aspect it, there is a lot to learn to understand human behavior and themes that come up over time. Along with that I am tutoring at a local high school and trying to look for a part time job. I am very into my faith. It wasn't too long I went to a retreat which changed my life forever. It was there I heard the voice of the Lord and felt a love so profound in my heart. A few months after that I went on a "short" 100 mile pilgrimage which was truly impactful event in my journey of faith. I can safely say that whatever the circumstance, God always prevails! Before any of this ever happened though, and it's a long story, I went through a phase where I doubted a lot and had a hard time believing. But actively following the Lord, praying and being with others who believe is all that matters. (Not to mention reading the Bible!) So in short, I love being a Catholic and continually learning because Jesus, as a teacher and friend, has a lot to offer! Aside from all of that some other facts about me include: being a twin and allergic to caffeine. I also love to read, write, play my guitar, listen to music and being in a school (I truly love learning). Feel free to message me and I'll make room to chat!
55, Eugene, ORHello, My Catholic faith is the base of my life. I strive everyday to be a good person and bring the best that I have to those I interact with. My life is good. I'm grateful for what I have, My God, my family, my friends. I love life and enjoy the simple things that it can bring me. A bird, a squirrel a sunset, a sunrise, a full moon. I'm a Franciscian. I enjoy a deep conversations. I'm a positive person and enjoy being with those who have the same outlook in life. I worki out at a gym, but also love to walk hike etc ( but it's difficult during grass season!) I enjoy college football, pro football, movies, the outdoors as well as staying home watching a movie or reading a book.
34, Eugene, ORI feel like I want to be her Goldilocks option: not too hot, not too cold; just right. I'm always looking for that perfect wave to catch my board and take me to shore onto solid ground. She's that breath of fresh air when it's hard to breathe. She's my surrender. And I am hers. She's my Northstar, and I'm hoping this spaceship can reach her... I'm looking for lightning to strike; a connection described loosely by the former Jesuit Superior General, Pedro Arrupe: "What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination, will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning, what you do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, whom you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in Love, stay in love, and it will decide everything". I want to be her hero. More importantly, I want to be the Joseph to her Mary. If she's out there, I'm all in. I'm ready. If she's not, I'm ok with that too; because, you know, His will be done... The following adjectives have been used to describe me by those who know me well: Quiet. Shy. Warrior. Leader. Scholar. Philosopher. Traveler. Surfer. Foodie. Servant. Movie goer. Athlete. Reader. Writer. Star Wars fanboy. Disney Enthusiast. Nature admirer. Dog lover. Adventurer. Thanks for reading up to this point. Cheers to meeting you on the journey! God bless :)
