I am a single Catholic man. I like traveling, camping, hiking, playing tennis, dancing, boating and especially biking. I enjoy days on the coast or in the mountains and forests of western Oregon. I also like to get away from time to time to more tropical climates. I exercise regularly but otherwise live a fairly laid back life. That isn't everything to know about me but it's a good start.

I am pretty nice person I don't think you can sum up a person in these things but I will give the highlights. I am really into family, I like to hang out with friends. I love comedy movies they take the seriousness out of life it's one of the ways I like to relax. Another way I like to relax is to run it's a good way to let off steam when I am stressed out. Other than that please feel free to ask anything you are curious about.

The most difficult part of the profile is to describe oneself. I am initally reserved until I get to know someone. I am a person that believes in being kind to people. I am a laid back easy going independent guy, I follow the sports that I like with passion. My friends would say that I am fair and honest, a good listener, unassuming confidence.
  • Tim, 26 from Hillsboro, OR
    26, Hillsboro, OR
I'm a Midwestern transplant now in the land of hipsters. Where I grew up, flannel goes with bird dogs and pickup trucks. The Portland area is a new adventure for me. I am a graduate of the University of Kansas, with a Masters in chemical engineering, now working as a managing engineer in Hillsboro. Family is a top priority in my life, along with keeping it all centered on God and the sacraments. In my free time I enjoy anything outdoors/sports oriented. I am an avid outdoorsman and try to keep an active lifestyle as much as possible. I really enjoy learning, so my hobbies almost always consist of things that have bottomless pits of information, because they never get old.

AdI have a passion for God. I love the scriptures and exploring them in depth. I went on an archaeology dig in Israel while in grad school. It was life changing. I have the chance to go again this summer.

I enjoy mass at st philip neri parish, although i miss the paulists. I am passionate about helping others and turning humanity's poor choices into positive ones. "Saving the world" just sounds too cheesy :) My grandfather is one hero, 40+ years sober when he died and would do anything he could to help another. My mom another hero, and we are close. In my leisure time I love the outdoors, wilderness - HIKING! This time of year getting back from a nice hike and cuddling up w/ a good book or movie and hot cup of coffee, chocolate etc. would be great...I love history and art, love museums, antique stores, vintage clothing, art, antique and vintage furniture... etc. I am big on organic food and am vegetarian too. I'd be ok w/ dating someone who was not vegetarian (as long as you accept my choice) but would really like someone who understands the importance of trying to do organic as much as possible and intentionally eating and living... It will probably take some time to really start to know me (I'm deep lol) but I think thats half the fun of finding someone. But to meet me once is not to really know me (at least 99.99% of the time). I have lots of "things" about me that may seem to some people like contradictions (like that I am a liberal Catholic - but hey just read some of the things our new Pope has said!) but when we talk about these "contradictions" you will probably see how it all fits together and makes sense. I am a critical thinker and think its healthy to question. 99% of people I get to know I stay friends with. I'll add more but just checking things out right now...

There, but for the grace of God, go I. Thanks for looking. I am a farm-raised country boy. I'm trying out this online dating thing for the first time, to see what the Lord may have in store for me. Things to help describe me, loyal, and I don't mind getting my hands dirty. I love to laugh, and don't take life more seriously than I have to. I am an ISTJ / ISTP type personality. I prefer to to be straight forward with people and I'm a good listener. Bit of a basketball junkie, love to watch/ play as often as possible. Big fan of movies and cartoons as well. I enjoy hiking, walking, the beach. Anything else you would like to know, feel free to ask. Peace.

Strive to be different in a world of similarities -- no good memory ever came from just being like everyone else. Live the life you desire to live, and be the change you want to see in the world! This is me: Love defines me at my core -- all types of it (love of family, love of friends, love of romance). I am the type of person who values family, friendships, and relationships more than any material possession on earth. I have been told that I have a strong drive to serve others, whether it be reaching for something up high on a shelf, looking over a math problem, keeping someone in my prayers, or even being someone to talk to during a times of difficulty. I'm an extremely understanding individual and I love to sit and listen to what others have to say, regardless of background, viewpoint, or topic. I am a very open person, so ask me anything you like, I can guarantee an honest answer. But quite honestly, I'd much rather get to know what you have to say more than just inflating myself in a bio. Hope to hear from you!

Last June I retired after a successful career in education. Then it was off to Spain for some grandkid spoiling. A two week golfing trip with buddies brought my retirement to an end when I accepted a part-time administrative position. In addition to my son in Spain I have a daughter in Baltimore. I love to travel, mainly overseas. My leisure time is spent golfing, wine tasting, spending time with friends, and going to the gym.

If you asked my friends to describe me I think they would say I'm a really open minded person. I am a God fearing person,i love God so much and i put him first in EVERYTHING that i do and he has never failed me. I'm a good listener. down to earth. Always trying to make people laugh. Likes to go out and mingle yet likes to relax at home. I have a good sense of humor. I help anyone out if I can. I tend to have strong opinions of what's important, but I am a good listener as well; I enjoy philosophical conversations. I have a few very close friends that are reliable just as i am to them because i believe when your circle decreases in size,it increases in value.
