28, Allentown, PAI am committed to being a good Catholic, making it to Heaven, and helping others in my life to do the same. Catholicism is very important to me, I and find a lot of fulfillment through going to mass (whether daily or weekly), praying, adoring the Eucharist, going to confession, or even just having meaningful conversations. I'm blessed with Catholics in almost every aspect of my life (outside of work, anyway) and I have large number of friends, family members, and role models who are solid in their the faith. I spend plenty of time in a very un-Catholic world as a night-shift police officer, so I take joy in spending quality time with people who share the true faith. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking/camping/backpacking. For regular exercise routines I run, lift weights, and sometimes work the land at one of my professors' farms near Scranton. Some day I would like to try a half marathon, and then decide whether a whole one is up my alley! I enjoy sharing cigars, bourbon, and scotch with my Catholic brothers, and I also try to remain in good practice at the shooting range with both rifles and pistols. I also enjoy conversation, game nights, movies and sporting events in mixed groups. I'm pretty extroverted, but I can appreciate the value of a quiet night in! Education is very important to me, and I'm currently enrolled in an MBA program with a concentration in Finance. I would love to get a Ph.D. someday if the opportunity presents itself. I'm currently a police officer but I only plan on doing this for a few more years. I want to start my business career soon so that I'll have climbed the ladder a bit before I'm out of my thirties. At the end of the day, however, it's up to God where I go and what I do.
27, Hollidaysburg, PAI am the oldest of six and have grown up in a wonderful and passionately Catholic family. I enjoy martial arts, volleyball, writing, and watching movies. I am a big fan of the arts, provided they are truly art and reflect the transcendentals . Most importantly I believe that becoming a saint is the most important thing in the world. Having said that I certainly have a long way to go and am looking forward to meeting someone to challenge me and help me be the saint that I am meant to be. I try to follow the words of St. Josemaria Escriva and "Act like a burning coal, spreading fire wherever it happens to be; or at least striving to raise the spiritual temperature of the people around you".
26, Hastings, PAI am passionate about my Catholic Faith, and spreading that Faith and awareness of God's love for all through acts of love. I hope to someday get to a point in my life where my family and I can travel on missions trips and help the least of these. I plan to coach basketball full-time on the college or pro level someday, and although I am aware that that will demand a lot of time, I plan to make time, both in my job and out of it, for my ultimate goal, which is helping others. Taking a pilgrimage with my diocese to see Pope Francis in Philadelphia in September 2015 has by far had the biggest impact on my life. I will allow his words about Jesus' Love and Mercy to penetrate my heart in 2016, through the Year of Mercy, and through the rest of my life, in order that I will draw closer to God than ever before. In my leisure time, I enjoy playing and watching sports, specifically basketball, baseball and football. I also enjoy listening to music, mostly country and rock.
25, Harrisburg, PAPeople would describe me as funny, intelligent, sweet, kind, loud, loyal, adventurous, and a hopeless romantic to a fault. I'm most jazzed about God and the Church. Most everything else I can take or leave. I look forward to having a future family and of course, eventually hopefully heaven. I attend the Traditional Latin Mass at my home church - Mater Dei Latin Mass Community at St. Lawrence Chapel, and Divine Liturgy at St. Anne Byzantine Catholic Church. I also visit the local Novus Ordo churches in the area with friends or when I can't make it to my church. I've played guitar for many years and enjoy singing and playing at home. The people who have been most influential in my life would be all members of my family, especially my grandmother Pearl who passed away when I was in college, my best friend Eric (he got me in to Catholicism), Jocko Wilink, Nikola Tesla, and everyone on SNL and MST3K. I enjoy watching movies, TV, and listening to music most of the time. I like finding a great deal at thrift stores and I like to check out weird locations. I've started going to the gym 2-3 times a week, two being with a trainer, and I'm starting to really enjoy it. Over the past few years, I've lost about 40-50lbs and planning to lose more.
38, Downingtown, PAI'm passionate about family, creativity, faith, friends, and baseball! I make sure that I spend time with my family. My brother and his family mean the world to me; we were always close growing up so even though I don't see him as much as I'd like there is a warm feeling in my heart when I get to see him. I value my friends. I've known my them since high school and appreciate that you can sometimes go long periods without talking but are always able to pick up where you left off. It's nice to have people know you closely and know when to kid around and be serious. I enjoy baseball and have season tickets to the Phillies. Baseball has always made me feel closer to home. There is something about the feeling of baseball in the summer that is magical. I've been an Eagles fan since the year of the Fog Bowl and just picked up a Carson Wentz jersey this year...I'm on the bandwagon! I've gotten into hockey this year and have had a lot of fun watching the Flyers. I like to eat healthy and stay active. I try to focus on Pilates and running. I have a stand-up desk at work and wear a pedometer to keep me motivated to move around...every bit helps, you know? I'm a creative person though not as much as I used to be. I enjoy playing the piano and writing stories. I recently bought a Super 8mm film camera with the intention to shoot short films again. Life finds a way to limit my creative time but I do try to stick with it. I'm a proud veteran of the US Army. I was an Officer and spent a total of 3.5 years on Active Duty, including a 15-month deployment to Iraq. What a great experience and I'm so glad I chose to serve.
