29, Lyman, SCI cant really describe me. You'll just have to meet me. I try to make myself and others laugh at all times. I work 2 jobs and enjoy them both, but it has made it hard to meet people. Enjoy traveling, my carolina panthers, and the clemson tigers
24, Moore, SCGood day, miss. Well, you must wish to know who and what I am and so I shall attempt to describe myself. I am a Southern Catholic. By that I mean I have family roots here going back centuries, and so am immersed in what it is to be a cultured Southerner, while being in a family that only became Catholic in the past thirty years. And so I am highly old fashioned in my approach to relationships. But do not let that scare you, because my observation has been that it is really the Esposita who is in charge of the home and family. If the man has the final say, it is only because he is allowed it. The truth is, the men of my family are warriors, and always have been. Our mindset is highly militaristic, and we love order, discipline, strength, and honor - though living up to those ideals is a challenge we all too often fail to overcome. So that's just a glimpse into my values and mindset, which tied together with my Faith, make me more zealous than most. As for actually being a soldier, I have every intention of getting back (long story) in the military - once the U.S. Military has a change in management - and becoming an instrument of justice. For that matter, it would be a huge plus if you come from a military family. In my hobbies and other interests, I certainly do qualify as a nerd, though I probably do not give the impression initially. Really, the main reason I love science fiction and fantasy as much as I do is because there are ever so many very Christian elements to it, and I have a great fondness for symbolism and allegory. Oh, but there is so much to talk about there... Politically, I would certainly fit in the category of entrenched conservatism, but with the caveat that it is built around and tempered by Church teaching, that is to say, I am conservative because I am Catholic. As an update, I am now attending the Franciscan University of Steubenville to finish my history degree, so I will not be home for some time. So, for the time being, this is all I can say. If it is Our Lord's will, you may be the one to walk with me down the long road to where our purpose reaches its ultimate fulfillment in the Kingdom of Heaven. May He protect and keep you, always. Amen. Do drop me a line if you'd like to see what else is under this layer of militarism and politeness. I promise I'm not a flat character, in the literary sense. ;)
31, Aberdeen, GBI love surfing, snowboarding and going to the gym. I love taking long walks, listening to the podcast and looking at the word around me. My friend asked me today what would my ideal date be and I said listening to the podcast and talking about it or doing burpees together. Haha I was't 100 percent serious but it made me think that I am dying for soulmate. I better tell you some deal-breakers straight away: I like dogs, but I do not like an idea of having one (definitely not until I am 60).
26, Johns Island, SCPeople make me passionate; whether it be through missions, or just every day social activity, I cannot get enough of productive social interactions. Thus I am obviously an extrovert, but not one of those ones who cannot be without going out or stop talking; I just care about others. So, I am just as comfortable at the company Christmas party as I am in a foreign country or at home with a good fire, journal, and record player. Music is a big part of my life as is writing. In the past I played on worship teams and led college groups solo as we worked to build the ministries. Writing poetry and practicing good verse is also a great hobby. Reading-wise I embrace mostly non-fiction and things more oriented on philosophy, some religious, some personal, and others political in nature. Activity wise I love bike riding, Crossfit, tennis, and anything outdoors. Ping-pong is my not so secret obsession. I love good, quality music. My favorite bands range from Daughter and Bon Iver to Letlive and Defeater. Yet I adore Patsy Cline and James Taylor. Coffee and dogs are a man's best friend and those are just inalienable facts. As far as influences go I find GK Chesterton, Archbishop Fulton Sheen, and Evelyn Waugh my greatest deceased heroes. There is a hipster strain in me but the other half is an 85 year old man who loves his tradition and knows to keep sacred things just that, sacred. Other big influences on my life include Father Barron, Rene Girard, Srinivas Rao, and Rabbi Irwin Kula.
20, Beaufort, SCHi, I love family above all. I've always thought about having my own. My parents have always had the most influence on me, the love that they have is the love that I want to be a part of. I'm from Oregon and I hope to move back eventually. I enjoy being outdoors, camping and hiking, bicycles or driving or even just going for a walk.
33, Hardeeville, SCHi I'm javier. I grew Up in a catholic home so I feel very blessed,, my parents filled me with good values, teachings and examples. My family and friends say I have a good sense humor, and honestly I did not consider me boring. I like dancing when there is opportunity,, Not talk singing :) I am blessed because christ lives in me, living faith, living hope, love alive,, Viva Cristo rey! Viva la Virgen Maria!
23, Goose Creek, SCHey! The two biggest parts of my life are the Navy and being a Knight of Columbus. I love volunteering on my free time, reading classic literature, playing the piano/guitar, and studying nuclear physics!
25, Glasgow, GBI'm an IT professional by profession. I'm extremely grateful for what I'm blessed with in my life. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places and travelling. I'm an avid follower of trance music.
26, Stirling, GBI'm passionate about music and playing in my band with friends. I look forward to playing gigs. The most influential people in my life have been my parents.
22, Greer, SCMusic, Fitness, and Cooking play a big part in my life. Would love to meet someone who would have the same passion/drive to achieve the most during their lifetime. I own a family business that has been around for over 35 years. Very proud of my line of work. I am a social drinker. I keep my circle small. One of my main goals, is to be the best that I can be as a person, and sharing every moment with someone special.
30, Columbia, SCHello! Passionate about...I'm passionate about truth. I heard someone talking about the pursuit of three things: truth, goodness, and beauty. I like talking about our faith and since I grew up Protestant and just became Catholic last year, I still have a lot of people asking me "Why?!?!" so I get to unload about what drew me to the Catholic Church, and I LOVE getting to explain it. I'm passionate about the news. It might sound boring, but it keeps me focused on things that need prayer. I don't want to sound like I'm a super serious and depressing person, but I try to keep a very broad view of the world and have an idea of what's going on. I just moved to America from Turkey (I'm American, but I was there for 5 years), so I'm pretty interested in that country's issues and relations with the outside world. I think that could become less of a thing for me over time, but it's still on my heart, and I find myself missing it sometimes. In my spare time I like to go to the gym (about 6 days/week) and read books (mostly Catholic history, apologetics, and theology. There's a fantasy series called Malazan by Steven Erikson and Ian C. Esslemont that I read for fun too. I literally searched "fantasy series NOT game of thrones." I wanted to read something where occasionally good things happen to people while not neglecting mature subjects and complex issues). I like movies a lot, but I've been disappointed with most of what I've seen lately. In general, I like stories with twists and complicated plots and characters. I've enjoyed watching the Marvel series on Netflix too. Those series typically have some heart to them or show characters who are struggling which is nicer to see than movies where the plot is something like "superhero fights really strong person, loses, then fights harder, and wins." I used to play video games, and I still do on occasion, but it needs to have either a really good story or friends of mine who play it and want me to play with them. I'm actually pretty bad at games--that's what got me into reading books. I realized that I didn't need to play a game to get a good story; I could just read a book!
34, Dundee, GBHi, I would describe myself as a caring and easy going person I enjoy dining out, spending time with my family and friends, doing some outdoor activities and watching films.
