70, Sparta, TNUpdated 9/6/08: It is one thing to close a door behind you, it is another to not open the next one: you'll never know what's there! When the right person comes along, I will commit myself to her and provide that degree of "I'll be there for you" emotional security that most partners search for in life. People who know me would say that I am a kind, generous, happy, patient, confident and fun person. I grew up in Connecticut, the first of eight children. Since my parents could not send me to college, I joined the Air Force. I worked, studied, earned my degree and was eventually commissioned an officer. I retired as a Captain and moved to Tennessee. I enjoy ballroom dancing, gardening, walking, biking, singing, photography and more. I really enjoy outdoor activities. I am the church organist, the church's web site manager, and I direct the Advanced Choral Group. I sing bass with the Mastersingers of the Upper Cumberland. We put on three major concerts from December to May. Although I do NOT have any children living with me, I do have a son, a daughter and nine grandchildren at last count. And concerning those faith questions, I am flexible with a couple of them. 70, Ridgetop, TNLife is good! I wake up with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. Sprituality and my Faith guide my choices. The Lord has Blessed me in so many ways, I can hardly believe it myself. I have a 17 year old son that I cherish. In addition, I was Blessed to be a part of raising three step children who are now productive young adults. I love them as my own. And although my ex and I have moved on, we retain a friendship by virtue of respect. I enjoy my career, restoring our c.1896 Victorian home, music, entertaining, vintage/classic cars, and technology. I give back to my Church through involvement and my community as a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT. I am an optimist and retain no baggage. My health is excellent and I'm very energetic, sincere and financially stable. Starbuck's Venti-Latte is great, but I'm good with Dunkin'. I know how to dress up and how to dress down. If it's broke, I can fix it. If I'm lost, I'll ask for direction. My primaries are my God, my loved-ones, a few close friends, and my country. My heart is warm and I have a passion for life and all of it's wonders. I have a flair for the romantic. Little things mean so much. I'm a pretty good cook, but not a chef. I'm tidy, but my housekeeping is mediocre. My sense of humor is infectious and my profile picture is current. I'm adventurous, outdoorsy, and active.

68, Nashville, TNI have been a widower for 28 years. I have two children, a boy and a girl both grown and on their own. My daughter is about to bless me with my first grandchild this Christmas. I love to play golf with my friends who I have known most of my adult life. We are close but getting older and health is pulling some of them away. So now I realize I could be alone and I would like to find someone with whom I can develop a close relationship with.
63, Murfreesboro, TNI look forward each day to serve others. My life's work has been in higher education where I have taught English and managed student service departments. I've considered myself as educator who assists students in reaching their academic and personal goals. The most influential experiences in my life have come from dealing with losses (my son and my brother). What I've learned from those difficult times is that suffering is redemptive, for it has made me a more patient, faithful, and compassionate person. I enjoy running, swimming, hiking, camping, backpacking, and spectator sports (basketball, hockey, and baseball).
