I have 2 girls 16 and 14. I've been living in England for the last 19 years teaching at a special needs secondary school. My parents have passed away 7 years ago which changed my life around. I have 6 brothers and 3 sisters - all are in Canada with my oldest brother passing away 2 years ago. My oldest sister is a Catholic Nun with the Carmelite Order. I have 2 cousins that are Catholic Priest so I guess I'm pretty well connected with the church. I help run the Children's Liturgy at the church where I live. My youngest daughter started taking Choi Kwang Do lessons and after seeing the instructor (ex-police - constable) and the methods he was teaching; I asked him if he would be interested in teaching his marital arts at the special needs school I teach at. To cut a long story short - It has been a real success and I will be grading for my 2nd Dan Black Belt. My daughter has graded for her Black Belt and now have turned her attention to Badminton. Besides keeping busy with the church, choi, school and my children - I run when I get a chance. I enjoy being with people especially teaching children and young teenagers. I have a real zest for life and love it when others find it and share it. I'm much better at corresponding with someone and learning about each other - listening and understanding - So drop me a line or two to find out more.

Mature ,shyish, but utterly confident man whose perspective on things are in broad cosmic dimensions...not just in terms of our tiny little planet. Deep thinking,Philosophic, yet clear headed, practical, committed internationalist with positive, unshaken ,yet non-aggressive submission to The Universal Supreme Deity. I must now Fuse with a compatible female and go through an array of clean interesting experiences world wide as we jointly choose in togetherness. We might even pay a brief visit to Mars! Why not ?

I have been a Roman Catholic now for 11 years having been an Anglo-catholic in the C of E prior to that. I am a church organist and choirmaster and attend Mass at least once a week. I used to be a teacher but at present am involved with property and enjoy quality of life. I am looking for a special person to share my life with and that person must be a practising Catholic. It is difficult to know what else to write here but I am sure if it is God's will there will be someone who feels they want to make contact. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am an academic and librarian, fairly shy but also quite gregarious with many friends. I have never quite found the right person. I like the outdoors - hill walking and love natural scenery and photography. One of my great interests is the weather and meteorology (I love snow and snow photography!). I like to travel and have travelled widely in Europe, mainly for holiday/leisure reasons, but sometimes for academic conferences. I have also been to the USA four times, including twice to California and Arizona, mainly, if not exclusively for academic reasons - to give lectures and attend conferences. I spent a month at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana, in March 2000, as an Erasmus Visiting Fellow, and it was one of happiest times of my life. I am a great admirer of the vibrancy of American Catholicism. I am close to my family (have five nieces). I try to live up to the demands of the Faith, though I occasionally may fall short. I would like to meet a lady who shared my values and was also caring and considerate and homely though I certainly also appreciate good looks along with solid virtues and religious Catholic commitment. I also value a sense of humour and fun and openness and just niceness and considerateness.

I'm an attentive and reasonable man who is attractive to women, I am very fit and healthy and play squash and am outward looking though the inner life is vital to me I prefer naturalness in people as they wrestle with an artificial and distracted world! Shared spirituality and wholeness is at the core of my relationships and the strength to stay with my Christian faith! I love the traditional Mass though I am radical in the pastorate, like the Anglo-Catholics in their actyivity with poor persons! Creation is a gify given to us for our happiness and well being, it is not a right!
  • David, 73 from Colchester, GB
    73, Colchester, GB
Hello. I'm David. I'm a retired primary headteacher. i crossed the Tiber from the anglican church three years ago. I was widowed in 2005 and came to live nearer my younger son outside Colchester. i enjoy singing and worship in two catholic churches, one on Mersea Island where i play the organ and the other at St. Teresa's, Lexden where i sing bass. I have been playing the recorder throughout my career and have recently passed Grade 7. I acted as a full time carer to a lady from our church who had M S, but she died in December last. I have two grown up children, one lives in London and is a university lecturer and the other lives in Colchester and works for Auto Express in London. I have adopted a rescue labrador, Honey who takes me out for four or five walks each day. i live ten minutes from the beach. She is overweight, but is on a diet and has hydrotherapy twice each week. Although i am 72, I am a young 72 and would love to meet a lady whom i could care for. i find life rather lonely at times, but i try to keep busy. I have recently become a foundation governor at our local Catholic College. i have been attending a Benedictine study group in Norwich and have just returned from a retreat at Douai Abbey. I try to be affectionate and loyal and, with the right person, I'm sure I could make them very happy. I am the eldest of a family of six children and would not mind at all if the person i met had children already. I was fortunate to grow up in the Lake District and moved to York in 1962 to train for teaching. After qualifying I taught in primary schools in Yorkshire, Cheshire and finally in Staffordshire, wher i was a head teacher. I was a very committed Anglican for most of my life and, for a number of years, was a lay reader, but became disillusioned with the Anglican church. I have been made very welcome in the Roman Catholic Church and have become committed to the two parishes where i worship. I look forward to meeting the right lady and hope this might be possible through catholic match.
