Intelligent, cultured, not ambitious or materialistic, good humoured, patient. My main interests are music and gardening. I'm a fairly relaxed kind of guy and yet I do really like to be challenged, intellectually and physically. I enjoy a range of activities from playing sports such as football or skiing, to reading classical literature and playing the guitar. Am fascinated by theology and philosophy. Catholic faith is important to me.

Hi there. I never thought I would find myself doing this...!! But hey...I will keep it brief, simple and honest. I can't do more. I have been a Tradcat since my conversion in 1999/ My Faith is the number one prority in my life and intend to keep it that way. I was brought up in Africa but now live in the U.K. My career has always centered around the motor trade. I enjoy the outdoors and practically live on my bike. I enjoy Spiritual conferences & pilgrimages, includung those abroad. I help with charitable work within the SSPX. Photography & videoing; good movies and classical music are hobbies I enjoy. I was brought up with animals wild and domestic around me so have no problem with them. Cats have to be my favourite though. I am looking for someone who wants to share or at least take an interest in what I do, in return for the same and particularly help me attain Heaven. "It takes three to get maried" (Fulton Sheen). So I am looking for that 3rd part of a happy and Holy three. I am looking for that someone who is down to earth, is humble loving and caring.

I was born in England and moved to NY/NJ area about 5 years ago. I enjoy outdoor life. I love to visit new places, exploring and walking. Beaches, woods, and lakes and mountains. It is my life-long dream and wish to become a Daddy one day. I am new to Catholicmatch, so will update this section later. UPDATE 23/3/2015: After 5.5 happy and exciting years living and working in the New York area, I am pleased to say that my employer has offered me a challenging new opportunity back home in the London office. My relocation date is set for beginning of May and look forward to finding a home near my parents in the Southend on Sea area.

I am passionate about my faith, my family, my friends, about learning and self-improvement. I have known personally a number of upstanding and virtuous people that have had a great influence on my own life. I also look to the saints and great figures from history and literature for inspiration. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, painting, walking and sports.
  • Martin, 26 from Gilford, GB
    26, Gilford, GB
Good afternoon, if it's applicable I suppose. So about myself, I've just returned from a year and a half in Canada, originally looking for work as a geologist. But whether by the hand of God or my odd luck spend my time as a chef. Life is weird. I am a friendly if quiet person with a sarcastic, somewhat dark sense of humor (read Irish) and a preference for more intellectual pursuits. I've been told on occasion that i'm an old soul, but mostly people think I'm a bit on the eccentric side. I do enjoy the outdoors, when they're not trying to kill me. I prefer socializing in small groups and once I'm comfortable with a person I have a tendency to talk their ears off. I have a love of stories irregardless of the medium, science fiction being my favorite. Connected to that is an ever-growing interest in history and different cultures. I also enjoy most forms of games from chess to video games. Additionally I am an amateur novelist, when time permits, no aspirations to make it a job though. I'm looking for a life companion to share everything with; joy and pain, crazy and quiet.
  • Babatunde, 23 from London, GB
    23, London, GB
Pronouncing my name is probably an exercise in phonetic gymnastics (we should include this in the Olympics!): you can either say "Bah-bah-toon-day" or "Bah-bah-toon-dee". Most people simply refer to me as "Baba" and I hope that sounds easy enough! I was born in London and have lived in the UK my entire life. I am extremely opinionated, particularly when it comes to politics, and my passion encompasses travelling, reading, watching the news and programming. English is my native language but I can also speak German, Portuguese and Spanish and I know basic Mandarin Chinese and Polish. If German, Portuguese or Spanish is your native language, I would be more than delighted to speak to you in that! Many would say I work extremely hard and I have a good sense of wit. I am introverted but I can be outwardly assertive when necessity demands it.

  • Paul, 42 from Chichester, GB
    42, Chichester, GB
Well I believe that life is a big test. You get some great times....and not so great times, but it's how you deal with them that's important. I'm far from perfect though... I go to church every week and have brought my 4 daughters up as Roman Catholics. It is a very important part of my life and I feel so very glad that I have my faith. In my spare time I love running - such a good place to be to think about stuff. I follow football - Wolves and Bognor Regis FC. Love listening to music and pretty much all genres, but nothing beats live music. In fact, I think I would be happy doing most things really - very easily pleased.
  • Peter, 43 from Edinburgh, GB
    43, Edinburgh, GB
I look forward to the company of my family and friends. Like eating out and drinking socially in good company. I keep fit by going to the gym and cycling. I play football for my church team. I'm involved in my Parish as a reader and Eucharistic minister which I find fulfilling. I can be shy at first but enjoy meeting new people.
