I really enjoy the outdoors, walkabouts and hiking, car camping, fly-fishing (mostly catch-n-release), bike riding, I'm a casual Alpine and Nordic skier (no ripping-n-running, no moguls, no park-n-pipe) scuba diving and horseback riding, along with doing a variety of crafts and watching a variety of sports. I'm retired from the Military and Fed Civil Service. A ski instructor at the NAC and a Certified Peer Support Specialist at the VA Hospital . I enjoy a good restaurant, a nice movie and/or the theater and good conversation over a fine glass of wine or cup of coffee. I enjoy traveling abroad where ever the mood may take me as well as taking road trips where ever my Subaru may take me be it near or far. I also enjoy Firsts (going to a restaurant or somewhere or doing/trying something for the First time). I'm comfortable going formal or grubby. I really enjoy life, I have a good sense of humor (so It is said). I can be with or without a beard matters not to me. Trust, Respect and Honesty are most important to me. Don't need any head games. I do enjoy holding hands and hugs. My family is of most importantance to me even thought they do live afar so traveling is always in the plans.

In all honesty, I'm lightly chastising myself for revisiting this website. My own lapse in judgment (which, I pray and work to never repeat), as well as a dear friend's words have shown me that my focus needs to be on becoming the man and father our Lord created me to be. Still, "it is not good for man to be alone;" and I suspect my daughters would benefit from being around someone who could give them what is lacking in me, someone who could and would help me keep the promises I made at their baptisms. No, I'm not mom-shopping. They have a mom interceding for them. But I am doing a poor job of introducing myself.

I enjoy laughter above most activities and cannot seem to get enough. I consider myself a conservative and a traditionalist. I have 3 daughters and I am involved in their life on a daily basis. I work very hard at being a decent person and doing the right thing.

The Catholic Church has helped me to grow in my faith. I love Our Lady. I spend lots of time with family and at school. I always look forward to going to mass. I love spending time with our Lord. My parents have had the most influence on my life, and they are my role models. My hobbies include swimming, running, hiking, reading, and watching movies. My grandparents have also had a great influence on my life. I love going hiking and spending time with our Lord in nature. I also enjoy water skiing as well as wakeboarding, and jet skiing.

I am an easy going guy who has a variety of interests. It would be fair to say that books are the thing I "geek-out" about the most. As with most people on this site, I enjoy traveling, going to dinner, grabbing drinks with friends, etc. However, I definitely enjoy sitting in a quite coffee shop while reading or just enjoying the calm atmosphere.

I am a retired Insurance health claim superintendent and widower for eleven months. I consider myself as a romantic and look for friendship. Not very active and usually have morning coffee at Starbucks before I head home to do dishes and laundry while my 40 year old son and my 53 year old daughter work full time. I do crosswords and view my favorite TV shows [so few good ones nowadays]. I am a philatelist, Knight of Columbus member for 46 years, and a Eucharistic Minister of the Sick serving the Draper Rehab and Care Center. I miss my wife's companionship, voice and hugs. I am interested in a friendship with a woman about my age (78) who lives nearby in the Salt Lake City, UT area.
