  • Tom, 25 from Burlington, VT
    25, Burlington, VT
Hi, my name is Tom and I am new to Burlington, Vermont. I am looking for someone to explore the sites and sounds that makes Vermont a great place. I enjoy the outdoors, I love hiking, and I am into fitness. I work out 2-3 times a week; however, I am not a gym rat. My hobbies include cooking, traveling, volunteering and listening to live music, just to list a few. I am passionate about giving back to the community and currently work with two social services organizations in Burlington. I would love to meet someone who is like minded.
  • Brendan, 31 from Essex Junction, VT
    31, Essex Junction, VT
Legal professional in Essex Junction, VT. In my free time you can find me singing in my parish's choir, spending time with friends, rooting for the Red Sox and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, or Netflix-bingeing. I'm a bit shy when I first meet people, but become very outgoing and make a lot of jokes with people I've gotten to know. I spent my childhood outside DC in Maryland, went to college and law school in northern Indiana, and previously worked in Washington DC and Midtown Manhattan. I've been here in Vermont for two and a half years now, and definitely consider it home!
  • Colin, 30 from Colchester, VT
    30, Colchester, VT
I'm relatively new to Vermont, moving to the Burlington area at the end of 2014 for a job. I hail from southeast Michigan originally, and after a brief stint in Oregon, lived in Maine for several years prior to coming to Vermont. I'm definitely more of an introvert and can come across as overly polite at first, although I open up more once I know someone. I have a dry, somewhat sarcastic sense of humor, and love terrible puns. For fun, I tend to split my time between two rather different hobbies: gaming and outdoorsy stuff.

I am loyal and trustworthy, honest and friendly. I'm hoping to find someone to love and appreciate each day in the presence of our awesome and amazing God.
  • Brian, 35 from Saint Albans, VT

I've got a garage full of stuff that says Im ready for anything but I spend most of my time enjoying the simpler pleasures of life. I love to watch the sunset over the lake, follow it up with a campfire, wake up early to go fishing and come back in for a nap in my hammock. That's my idea of a good day. I'm a little of everything, some days I like to be country, some days city, some days I pretend I'm a mechanic, or contractor, or electrician depending on what needs work or sometimes I like to play sommelier, chef, or photographer (the only chance Ill ever have at being artistic) or I may be geeking out over some new technology. As far as my personality, Im not quite sure how to put that in print, so, you'll just have to find that out the old fashioned way.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I enjoy playing and watching sports. I also enjoy learning and always look for opportunities to learn something new that will help me with my professional work or my personal life.

Above all else my one true goal is to become a saint, and I'm looking for the woman with whom God means for me to live out the vocation I've discerned. Faithfully practicing "hard identity" Catholicism is central to my life, but as you may be able to tell from my photo album, competitive shooting is probably the second thing (after my Catholic identity) that my friends know me for. When the weather allows, I also enjoy exploring the winding back roads on my motorcycle on some of our beautiful Vermont days. Its an exercise in futility to try to adequately give a complete picture of who I am in these couple paragraphs, and I'm sure there's more I could say, but what's great about this site is that you can always ask if you want to know more!

I am a motivated, intelligent and analytical person. I want to be a student of history and a successful entrepreneur. Currently I am working toward both of those goals which I shall attain by the help of God's grace. I enjoy attending lectures on topics ranging from foreign policy to geology. I also enjoy reading and engaging in discourse on almost any subject where I might be able to learn something new or share my knowledge with another. My most prized possession is the complete print copy of the OED which my Grandparents gave me for my nineteenth birthday and which I want, someday, to read in its entirety. Activities which I would enjoy engaging in with someone else include bowling, soccer, playing board games, being outside fishing and hiking as well as just spending quite evenings or afternoons together discussing matters of the day.
  • Joe, 25 from Castleton, VT
    25, Castleton, VT
Recent college graduate beginning work in my field. Enjoy spending time outside when possible doing just about anything, especially if water is involved. Prefer to keep active, be it exploring the woods, new part of town, trying new things, or anything else. I am generally terrible about describing myself so please feel free to ask questions.
  • Brad, 29 from Burlington, VT

I'm afraid I haven't got as much to tell as some people on here. I've been Catholic most of my life, and come from the city of Burlington here in Vermont. I didn't have many friends in school, so I'm rather shy. But I do like meeting new people, and I love being able to share my interests and hobbies. I'm also not very good at writing introductions for myself, as you can see here! I'm a passionate reader! My favorite authors include Stephen King, Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, G.K. Chesterton, Neil Gaiman, and many others. When I've got some free time I'm usually reading or practicing my writing, hoping to be an author some day. I'm also a big music fan. My favorite band is Rush, but I'm also a fan of the classics like Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. Honestly, most Prog Rock/Prog Metal appeals to me. The more meaningful the lyrics and talented the musicianship, the better. I'm also a huge movie fan! From Arsenic and Old Lace, to Star Wars, to the Marvel Movies (I'm a big comic book reader too!) to High Society, my taste in movies and tv is eclectic to say the least!
  • Adam, 20 from Waterford, VT
    20, Waterford, VT
I really like to be involved with my Catholic community. I was a lector, I am a first year confirmation teacher, and I am a member of Kinights of Columbus. Outside of the Church I am a volunteer firefighter for my town. In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping, canoeing, fishing, running, and working out.
  • Adam, 23 from Middlebury, VT

I am passionate about enjoying life through family, friends, travel, and work. My ability to travel to other countries has opened my eyes to the world and influenced my view on life. I enjoy traveling inside and outside the US, playing the piano, following the stock market, and different activities like skiing.
