I have a wide variety of interests. I enjoy outdoor activities. I like SCUBA diving, warm weather and vacations on the beach. I was married for 19 years and received my annulment in October 2008. I attend Mass regularly and my Catholic Faith is very important to me. I enjoy discussing religion and have no aversion to discussing my Faith with individuals interested in engaging in the same. The best description of me as a Catholic is “sinner” in constant pursuit of the absolute Truth and forgiveness. I moved to Richmond in 2005. I am a member of AOH (Ancient Order of Hibernians), an Irish Catholic Fraternity and a 3rd degree Knights Of Columbus. One of my favorite interests is politics. Political awareness and engagement define who we are and the path we choose for our future. Thomas Jefferson is my most admired political hero of Revolutionary times. Ronald Reagan is my modern-day favorite political hero. I believe politics and religion are very much intertwined. The greatest gift bestowed on man by God is freewill. Politics determine the extent and degree of subjugation of individual freewill in society. I have a BS in Mathematics/Computer Science from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. I am a Software Developer/Systems Engineer for a Fortune 500 Financial Investment Company in Richmond. I love my job and also love my free time away from my job despite the fact I’m on-call 24/7/365. In a healthy sort of way, I am defined by the work I do. I’ve been known to enjoy engaging in very “geeky” conversations.

I am a University of Dayton graduate with a Bachelors of Chemical Engineering. I am a fan of Science Fiction and geeky stuff like that. However I am most interested in the stories that seek to inspire or make us think. I am a huge Doctor Who fan. As a result of a long story from my high school days, I lost my faith and then found it again. Friends and even people I had never met helped me to see that good things could come out of painful and stressful situations. Most of all though, they were simply there when I needed them. I now feel called to do service as a way to help others the way I was helped. I have 1 sibling, an older brother with autism. It is a situation that has both challenged my faith and strengthened it at different times. He has a childlike faith that inspires me and he challenges me to be a better person. However I often wonder what his life would have been like if he didn't have autism. I look at him and see an incredibly gifted mind, trapped behind obsessions with vacuum cleaners and toy trucks and an inability to really grasp the emotions of others. It sometimes makes me wonder how such a disability can exist in God's plan. I firmly believe that God has a plan for each of us, and a purpose we are to serve. I also believe I will never, and in fact can never, fully know his plan for me. I find that both deeply inspiring and frustrating at the same time. I am inspired to know that my life has purpose, but frustrated that I may never know it. I grew up in a house with a strong thinker and a strong feeler and ended up somewhere in between. I am a strong extrovert. I am an idealist and an optimist. I can be stubborn as a mule sometimes when I think I am right, but I am also willing to admit when I am wrong. I am fiercely loyal to those I care about. I have been told that I am a good listener and give sound advice. Most of all though, the defining goal for my life, if I cannot accomplish anything else, is to make a difference in this world. To leave this world just a little bit better because I lived.

After college, I spent 5 years as an infantry officer in the army. I am currently attending law school which has been an interesting and exciting career change! Not entirely sure what I'm looking for out of this, but I have heard good things so I thought I'd give it a shot. Why not? In life, when you have a 50-50 decision, I like to think that you should always go for it. The tie goes to the runner.

Hi from Virginia! To introduce myself, I would say that I am passionate about God and his creation, my Catholic Faith, my family, my friends. I enjoy my work and want to do it well, but I wouldn't say I'm passionate about it. I look forward to doing other things outside work. Those "other things" include excercise and hiking, spending time with good friends, leading a Bible study, helping with RCIA and the high school youth at my parish (I am very attracted to the youth). I am blessed to live in an area that affords me with wonderful opportunities to learn more about my faith and to participate in cultural activities (lots of museums are nearby!). What I look forward to the most is finding and marrying the love of my life, although I am very aware that only God will truly satisfy my heart. The people that have been most influential in my life would have to be my parents! In addition I've been blessed to know some really great people through FOCUS and one of my best friends is now a catholic priest in Arlington diocese. With my leisure time I enjoy working on my house, hiking the many beautiful trails and mountains in Virginia. Also, I love having families over to my house for dinner!

A genuine person who takes what she has learned and gone through in life and uses that wisdom & knowledge to share with me her virtues and compassion and I do the same with her. Each of us should long to live in true and lasting genuine Peace. Everything that can be done for fun can and should be done in a spirit of peace & joy. Things to share can be and hopefully should be memorable, fun and exciting. Some of these include: dinners, attend music performances/concerts, attend sporting events, walks in a bucolic and scenic setting, vigorous hiking, discussions about the culture we live in; just to name a few. We always have to remember why we are here in this place, how we got here and more importantly where we are headed. Practically speaking 'baggage' is not necessarily a bad thing but can actually strengthen a relationship. For a new relationship to flourish, It truly can be a good thing to bring into it all we have learned and experienced at this point in our life as long as we control it and it doesn't control us. If what I wrote strikes a chord in your heart, send an e mail and we can start the conversation!
