28, Arlington, VAThere's nothing I believe in more strongly than the fact that we are made for love: to give it and to receive it; to find our greatest fulfillment in the giving of ourselves. This is the way that I intend to live, to the best of my ability, day in and day out. I am a lifelong Catholic (see more in the "My Faith" section) and professional musician who loves his faith, his native California, traveling, good cuisine, and art and culture. In my work as a classically-trained liturgical musician, I try to share my love of the faith and the beauty of music with others, and hopefully bring people closer to God through my work. I'm currently in the process of applying for a Master's in choral conducting, looking to enroll in Fall 2017. And if you're looking for some "references", here are three things said about me by some of my friends: 1) "You genuinely care about others"; 2) "You're determined and goal-oriented"; 3) "You'll give anything a solid try." I wish you the best, and may God help you to find your heart's greatest desire!
70, Arlington, VAI enjoy travel, meeting new people, learning new things, history, gardening, current affairs, home maintenance, bicycling, eating out, good food and architecture, cities, and my dog.
53, Falls Church, VAI am an authentic, attentive, adventurous, easy going, open minded, spontaneous, playful and witty, grounded and realistic, nonsmoking, guy, with a warm smile, and a good sense of humor. I have some gray in my hair, some kindness in my heart, some brains in my head and I enjoy spending time with friends, family, and those who are special to me. I sent my friend Joanna emoticons to warm her heart but they instead upset her and she told me that catholic men are wimps! Why does finding love have to be so hard?
23, Arlington, VAMy name is Matthew and I am 23 years old living outside of DC. I am studying Business Law at Marymount University. I'm not paying for this so find me on social media.
36, Oakton, VAI'm most passionate about people. I look forward to learning new things and traveling the world. I am grateful for the learning experiences throughout my life. I love to read, am fortunate to love my work, and on my free time I like to swim, travel, try new foods, and spend time with family and friends. I also enjoy quiet time and meditation, so I try to spend one hour per week in adoration or holy hour. Friends and family would say I am an optimistic and patient person.
44, Reston, VAI am passionate about the Jesus Christ, his church and getting into heaven and participating in the Holy Trinity! I hope to grow in holiness here on earth with the help of the Church. I strive to do God's will always. I want to grow in faith and trust in Jesus Christ. I love learning about the faith. I love the violin and I love teaching. I'm lucky to be doing a job I love and am good at, although it's frustrating at times. The experience that has been most influential on me is being indifferent to God. And it makes me sad that most of America and the West are in that place. I am so lucky to have been drawn back to the Church, and I hope my experience away from her can help others, perhaps. I'm a revert from being a lukewarm Catholic. The violin teacher Shinichi Suzuki has been important in my teaching. He started a method of teaching music that is really exciting and revolutionary. I love to cook, and I am pretty good at hosting dinner parties...
75, Herndon, VAI have been a practicing Catholic all my life. I was widowed shortly after retiring several years ago. My marriage lasted lasted almost 50 years. My daytime occupation was being an applied physicist helping to solve problems to keep our country safe. On many evenings I entertained people as a square dance caller. Major passions in my life are family relationships and the joy of learning. I had 7 full time years of formal university education and continue to explore new interests. I spent one year as an adjunct professor and have also taught hundreds of good folks how to have fun with square dancing. As far as community service goes I am a member of he Knights of Columbus and have served in many offices within the Knights, including being Grand Knight at St. John Neumann parish in Reston Virginia. Besides my parents, a major influence in my like was Reverend William Shonka. A Benedictine priest, Phd in physics, and head of the physics department at St. Procopius College where I earned a BS in physics. I met Rev, Shonka when I was a junior in high school at a college night event where representatives came to talk about colleges where they worked. He was a short wirery man who so excited man about physics that I changed my mind about being a chemist and went to his college and took every math and physics course he taught. As far as my leisure time goes I love to restaurant hop, go to the movies, music events, wineries, art and historical museums. To keep in shape I try to ride an exercise bike the equivalent of 5 miles every day. One of these days I may actually learn how to cook. I think that I personally am responsible for keeping the frozen TV dinner industry alive.
36, Fairfax, VAI was born and raised in the Washington D.C. metro area and have been back in the area since graduating from college. This region still very much appeals to me and I have yet to fully take advantage of the many opportunities here. I particularly like the history in the city and the surrounding region. I consider my life to be a good balance between an active and relaxed lifestyle. I'm interested in staying physically fit, and do so mostly through a regular running routine, though I do vary my activities. I am an outdoor enthusiast in that I enjoy hiking and fishing, or even simply taking a walk in a park. I enjoy skiing, both water and snow, but don't go as often as I would like. Other interests include, but are not limited to, reading (I always seem to have a book going), traveling, checking out historical sites/museums, beer/wine tasting, and attending live music events. Although it can be difficult at times, I'm a loyal Washington sports fan. I'm generally curious and enjoy learning new things. Experiences are more valuable to me than material possessions. I don't stay out late and close down bars as much as I used to, but I can still rally for a good cause. Happy hour is more my style now.
30, Annandale, VAI'm a genuinely nice guy. Some people may discribe me as a geek but I like to think I wear it well. I'd characterize myself as being a man out of time, adaptable but unphased by change in environment at the same time fun since few things bother me. I'm very confident and from that I am free to explore both myself in the world. I have many hobbies to include working out, parkour, martial arts, shooting and creative writing. Of course there was more but you cannot sum up the person in a paragraph. I would like to add that I am strong in my faith and I'm close to my immediate family. My parents in particular have set a high bar for a life together in Christ that I'm not sure can be matched. But I'm willing to try. ( it's good to have goals) One of my favorite quotes comes from a book I read as a young man, "Know many, trust few. Always paddle your own canoe..." Frost, is also one of my favorite poets.
22, Winchester, VAHello! I'm Robert and am an Organist at Precious Blood in Culpeper. Currently a student at Shenandoah University studying to be a High School math teacher in (Hopefully) Frederick County VA. Im looking other places too. I cannot wait to start teaching in the Fall! Besides playing for the choirs (Children's Choir has to be my favorite!) I like to work on computer programming (yes...I am a nerd haha). Other wise I love to be outside in nature, especially in the Shenandoah National Park. I enjoy hiking, looking for a hiking partner! What else...what else...what else...in case you have not guessed, I am not the best at writing these. I prefer talking to get to know someone. Technology is great but no replacement for talking face to face. Oh, last but not lease, I have a Lab named Buddy. He likes walks haha
24, Vienna, VAI'm a recent graduate in philosophy from University of Michigan and am presently living in the DC area working in Anti-Money-Laundering. Growing up, my family moved a lot. Before coming to Virginia, I lived in Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Michigan, and Indiana. So, as you can see, I mostly grew up in the south. I'm somewhat of a homebody, but I love to travel and have so far been to Mexico, Canada, Switzerland, France, Spain, and Italy. I have a calm temperament and am always ready to have a good conversation or just laugh at the silly things in life. I prefer the countryside to the city, but I can settle for the suburbs. I play piano, love outdoor activities, and am somewhat a foodie by parental influence: which includes wine and beer (preferably brewed by monks!). I converted to the Faith from protestantism while living in Michigan. If you get to know me, you will probably hear a lot about that wonderful experience. I'm here to make friends, and if it seems right, somebody I can call more than a friend.
