I am deeply devoted to The One True Catholic Faith, the Blessed Virgin Mary and strive daily to focus my life’s actions towards the ultimate goal of achieving sainthood when my time in this world is done. To that end, I try daily to surrender to Divine Providence and offer myself to God to use as He sees fit. But hey, I realize that I’m a sinner just like you and struggle daily against the influences of the secular world. I’m an easygoing and likeable guy – I think. I have two left feet and couldn’t carry a tune if you put a handle on it – but I try anyway. That being said, there are a few things upon which, God willing, I will never compromise. First of all, my Catholic Faith. This may sound like a no-brainer; however, given current events, I feel the need to state that I believe ALL teachings of the Catholic Church. If you’re less than 7/7, you’re a Protestant in denial. Secondly, my personal integrity – this is the tough one. In order to obtain the grace necessary to succeed in this battle, I receive the Sacraments as frequently as possible. Lastly, although I recognize the Novus Ordo as a licit and legitimate liturgical form, I feel it is objectively inferior to the Traditional Latin Mass, which I attend exclusively.

I enjoy living and experiencing all that life has to offer. That includes people. We are all here thanks to God, to be a part of each others lives in one way or another. I am looking for one that is interested in finding and sharing God's purpose in life. Faith is a foundation on which I stand. My faith is a part of who I am. I am an educated man, yet a simple man. I love the outdoors, I love to travel, I love to cook. In essence I love to live. I am open minded and hold no prejudices or biases, coming from a multi-racial family. I have been exposed to many diverse cultures and look for someone that does not judge based on the color of ones skin or ethnicity, but through the faith and hope of who God sees fit to bring together through his divine plan. I do not judge, only God has the power and right to judge.

I'm Catholic. I'm Southern, and I'm a mix of Irish and German, which often comes out in my boisterous personality. I value my faith, my family, and my friends. I'm a powerlifter, runner, and general enjoyer of life. I am a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, a concierge at a hotel, and I am working towards realizing my dream of healing others. I'm trying to be as interesting and as vague as possible, so I don't tell you everything in advance. Message me, why don't you? :)

"Whatever you do, do from the heart, as for the Lord and not for others." -Col. 3:23 I strive to incorporate a ministry approach into everything I do. I currently go to graduate school full-time, work with a financial firm part-time, and coach youth volleyball in my spare time. I always go into each situation with clients or players praying, "How can I best serve this client/player and bring them closer to You, Lord?" I'm very humbled by the opportunities and platforms God has given me to spread His name and His word.

Hey! In general: an easy-going, laid back kind of guy who's looking for a girl who shares the same faith as I do, to spend time with! Some of my interests include biking, swimming, watching football and soccer games, eating out, watching movies (Netflix addict) / tv, and reading the occasional book. I'm currently studying at Old Dominion University and TCC to complete a degree in Secondary Social Studies Education with an Admin endorsement.

I'm a passionate guy who can be either really extroverted or introverted depending on the mood. Sometimes I have big gatherings at my house, but sometimes I just want to binge Netflix all day. I am really enthusiastic about my interests, but enjoy them most when I have someone to share them with. I have traveled a lot, and would like to travel on a whim with the right person. I love the Church with all my heart, and the person I marry has to be someone who feels the same way. I am a very political person, with my politics deriving from my faith. I speak my mind unapologetically. I love food a lot, and so enjoy cooking, eating, visiting breweries, going to different restaurants, and so on. Apparently I'm a pretty good cook, too. Obviously there's a lot more to me than this, so shoot me a message!
  • Martin, 22 from Mechanicsville, VA
    22, Mechanicsville, VA
Hello! My name is Martin, I'm 22 and I'm not exactly sure what to say in this part. I'm really hoping whoever reads this thinks it's funny because don't worry, your not the only one who isn't sure how to write about themselves. I am giving this online thing a try because frankly I'm tired of meeting girls in bars. You can find some very nice people, but none of them are really good for you. I'm looking for a partner and looking around through the night just isn't working. Anyways I'm a very positive person. I can find a bright side out of most situations. My family is extremely important to me. My friends are much the same, even though I have become a night owl thanks to my current circle. I'm a practicing Catholic, and I'm extremely blessed to have my faith. I'm a competitive athlete, a student, and I'm very excited to see what giving this online thing a try will do. I'm an open book so I imagine I left alot out, but trying to summarize yourself just seems silly. Hopefully someone agrees with me on that.

Music, Faith, and a deep desire to make the world a less harsh, less evil place define who I am and what I try to do every day. In college, I was very privileged to study Music, and I hold three degrees in that field. I specialized in Music Theory and Composition and played trombone as my primary instrument. Today, I work as a Web Developer in Charlottesville, VA and remain active in Music by singing in the choir and cantoring at St. Thomas Aquinas. I also conducted the Gregorian Chant Schola at St. Thomas for three years. I have a deep love for the beauty of traditional liturgy (both Latin and vernacular) as well as the musical treasures of the Church, and I actively campaign for their restoration in the common practice of our Catholic Life. The reality of Beauty in God's creation has preserved my faith through the roughest of times. Communicating and living that Beauty in the liturgy stands as one of the chief duties of the Church in this world. Any small thing I can do to help fulfill that duty, whether by serving myself or helping others to serve, makes me feel like I am doing something to push back against the pain and darkness with which Satan tries to saddle the world. A thing that has really helped me in my life is something St. Augustine said. He said (roughly) that in a fallen world, God does not take the evil away, but He makes the evil less. I try to partner with God to make the evil less both by my musical life and by what I do in my working life. As a web developer, I create and maintain a tool that is used by over 250 people in my company every day--for several hours a day. By paying very careful attention to simple things like the placement of buttons or the progression of an onscreen workflow, I get to make this tool something easy to use rather than something oppressive and frustrating. (In my imagination, there is a committee in Hell that comes up with small, daily annoyances like clamshell packaging and doors that look like you should pull them when you should actually push. I like to conquer those annoyances in my work so that my colleagues won't go home and kick the dog at the end of the day.) In my personal life, I tend to be a hopeless romantic--but not a boyish or cheesy one. My ideal date would be dinner, drinks, conversation, and dancing (in my case probably a bit clumsily) to the timeless melodies of the Great American Songbook. If you think you would like the same, I would love to meet you.

Oh, how does one sum up their life in a small space, 2500 characters will barely scratch the surface of the life that I lead and that the accomplishments and hopes that I have. I come from a larger family that offered endless fun, opportunities and experiences that can be found no where else. My parents had a huge impact on how to live the Catholic life in a world where it can be quite difficult at times to do so. One of the things that they prepared me best to do is not just survive in this world but actually thrive and teach others by example. Because of this I believe that I am a very well rounded individual with all that they have taught me, plus lots of life experience working in the medical field for the last seven years. Now, a little about myself: I am a Man of God who thrives every day to not only better myself, but also those around me and those who I have to privilege serve at my job. Up to this point you may be thinking "what a stiff and boring person" but let me clear that up, I love to laugh and make others laugh also, I am the comic in the family and I do not consider my job done until I have at least got a few smiles out of everyone I meet. I have one of the best jobs in the world where I can make a positive change in people's lives on a daily basis. I work in the operating room assisting the surgeon during surgery. The things that I have seen and been able to assist on is truly amazing I thank God everyday for blessing me with this career!
