63, Orange, VAEven my male co-workers say I'm the nicest guy you'll ever meet. I'm easy-going, honest and very romantic. If you're searching for a guy who's "emotionally available," empathetic and an excellent listener, you've found him. I'm also a traditional, conservative Republican who believes in weekly Mass attendance, personal responsibility and love of country, and I'm looking for the same. The strongest relationships are bound together by shared core values. As such, I would not be a good match for liberals, non-conformists, moderates or middle-of-the-roaders. To put it more succinctly, I would definitely not be a match for supporters of Obama or the Clintons. Contemporary culture holds no interest for me. I do not watch television and rarely attend new movies. For the most part, the moral viewpoint put forth in these venues is completely at odds with what I believe in. Faith in God is the bedrock of my life and fitness and good health are at the top of my list. I'm a long distance runner who's finished 27 marathons in Florida, California, Hawaii, Arizona, Ohio, Texas, Washington, Colorado, Louisiana, Georgia , D.C., Venice, Madrid, Lisbon, Liverpool, Paris, Rome and Athens since 2003. Currently, I'm in training for the September 2017 Loch Ness Marathon at Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. When I'm not pounding the pavement, I work out daily on my Bowflex. Family is a key part of my life. I've always had a great relationship with my mom and sis, and the natural by-product of that is the fact that I genuinely admire and respect all women. I'm the kind who sends flowers for no reason, holds doors and chairs for ladies and calls my special girl in the middle of the day, just to tell her that I love her. Financially, I remain solvent by living within my means. I carry no debt, aside from my home mortgage. Educationally, I hold a Ph.D., three MAs and am Phi Beta Kappa, although I think I've learned a lot more from the School of Life. Formerly, I taught college film courses. I've spent the past twenty-two years with the Library of Congress restoring movies from Hollywood's Golden Age. It's the work I was born to do and I'm very happy and grateful that I'm there.
53, Arlington, VAI am a serious Catholic living in the Washington DC area. I do financial work. I have a house in Rosslyn, Virginia near Georgetown. I like to read, take walks, and travel when not on business. Unfortunately, I do a lot of business travel. I would like to meet someone in the Washington DC area.
28, Arlington, VAHello, I am David. I am a proud Catholic. I am also conservative, pro-life and patriotic. I enjoyed studying engineering in college but my interests extend well beyond that to include religious studies, history and politics. As for a little bit about my faith formation, I have been raised Catholic but when I went off to a secular university, I really saw the need to be able to take much more ownership of my faith. I had always been compelled by the truth of the Gospels but saw a need to learn about my faith much more to actively defend it. At this time I began to take much more personal ownership of my faith by studying the Bible and Catechism and engaging in active discourse. I enjoyed sharing in Catholic faith and fellowship with students and priests involved with our campus's Newman Catholic Community. I am a very introspective (but not to say introverted) person. I think very much about comprehending a consistent worldview where Christ and his Church are (of course) at the center and gleans light upon various global, economic, political and personal questions. I think very much about my moral and spiritual obligations and try to figure out how I can best serve the greater glory of God. I am very conscious of my role within society and upon graduating college and after much prayer I decided to join the Navy as a Submariner which has been enormously rewarding. Within this all I want to keep myself open to the possibility that I may be called to a married life. Thank you for taking the time to read these words and I look forward to learning more about you. God Bless! Pax Christi, David

34, Alexandria, VAAbout to open up an Art Gallery in a building that was around during the Andrew Jackson administration. Shaping such an old place can be a challenge under the manpower of one - me. But what is a man that does not make what is around him better? I learned that from Legolas in some Ridley Scott film. It'll be smack dab in the center of Old Town Alexandria, right near Misha's. Hopefully you know what Misha's is or you might have just went: "Who the heck is this Misha and why is he using her as a landmark?"
28, Colonial Heights, VAI've never done well at explaining myself, but here goes nothing... I converted to the Catholic Church last year. My mother and sister converted years before me, and my step father and brother were cradle Catholics. Essentially, my 'rebellious' stage involved me absolutely refusing to become Catholic, regardless of how truthful I found the faith when my step father would talk to me about it. And we can see how that worked out, yeah? I enjoy gaming and watching anime in my off time, which now that I'm between jobs I have a lot of lately. Also I am currently learning how to draw, cause as well as loving to write stories of various flavors, I enjoy the idea of graphic novels as well. However, I'm 100% committed to learning as much as possible about the faith, and about my role in it. And, hopefully, I would be able to find someone willing to go on that journey with me!
27, Norfolk, VAHey. My name is Steve and I'm a US sailor. I get the opportunity to play on a boat professionally. No i don't get to wear flip flops. When I'm not on the boat I try running, hiking, camping and other outside orientated activities. a goal now is to run a 1/2 marathon. It's not a full but is half of a full so still...lots of running. Yippee. I try to hang out with dogs when I can and try to avoid the pandemic known as pumpkin spice. That stuff is everywhere! I am me and yet there is still more I can be.
35, Arlington, VAI come from a blue collar Midwest farming family. Born with a servant's heart, I went on many mission trips to help those in need. Carpentry skills are very useful when building houses for the gravely disadvantaged. Like many in the area, I've served in the military. Unlike many in the area, I don't name drop the colleges or degrees I've attended or achieved. Who am I as a person??? My mother described me as such: "A little boy sat on my lap, Eager to run and play, Not wanting the rest of nap, Desiring to express ideas and have his say. Growing up, exploring the world, Experience gained in community and school, Marveling at the beauty of a small pearl, Disguising with beauty the hurt of the cruel. Off into the skies you fly, Working through adventures to do your part, Willing to defend and die, While Momma holds this child in her heart." Being the world's best uncle is one of my favorite titles. In regards to faith, I strive to unit Christians and live my faith. I have a strong tie to Saint Zeno (obscure martyr saint), such that I'm open to martyr sainthood if God asks it of me. That might seem 'way' too serious, but I won't ever apologize on that topic. I'm the calm leader people turn to in crisis. Eyes turn to me in nearly every emergency. I accept the role God has designed me to be. I'll never carry the flag or lead a large social/political cause, but I've performed several water rescues, maintain crowd control, fought off armed muggers, and rendered first aid.....I live an interesting life. Activity wise: I practice traditional martial arts, I'm a damn good dancing lead, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and frequently exercise. I'm also looking to enter competitive pistol shooting.
