58, Burke, VAA lover of life and God! One who always looks for the best in everyone! If you happen to view this profile, I wish you the best in life. Life is too short for discontent. Try to be happy all of the time. It doesn't matter what other's think, your life is your own. What is the soundtrack of your life? Mine? Classical, country rock, classic rock, you name it, I like them all! I've been playing in bands for most of my life. Music is, after all, the essence of both life and love. I like to reflect a lot, on my past. I like to think of how things could have been different; somehow better, had I chosen a different path in life. But would they really? Maybe Such metaphysical thoughts are best left for quiet moments with someone whom I'm looking for to spend time with. If I had to sum it all up in just a few words, I'd say Ecclesiastes 3 does a fantastic job. There is a time for everything. And you know? I sure wouldnt mind finding the right person to spend the time which makes up our lives together. What would we do? Oh, I dont know I suppose we'd have common likes and dislikes, but then, there would be some things which would be new to the both of us. I like to learn. I'm open to anything. If you want the reins, if you want to call the shots, I won't stand in your way. Just as I would hope you would be open to new experiences that I'd like to share with you. I tell myself, life is so short, and eternity is sooooo long! I'm a firm believer that the life we lead while on this earth carries on for us after we say goodbye to those we love, and go home. True life carries on. We begin to really live! Why not create a little bit of eternity here on earth? Or, as it is more commonly stated, a little heaven on earth. Take from each moment something new to enhance your life. That's what I always tell myself. My wish is to find someone to share lifes experiences with; every moment of life. Like all guys, I like sports. I watch little TV. I make exceptions for football, movies, the news, and channels like the History Channel. I enjoy the occasional beer. I like pizza and beer. Though not as much as I used to. I am well read. I enjoy reading. I enjoy all types of music, but perform in a band that plays mostly classic rock. You know, I could write a lot of likes and dislikes, but maybe that would be better left to when we meet. I would love to hear from you soon

46, Falls Church, VAMy life is an adventure! Do you want to share it? I am looking for the right woman to share my life and family with me. The good Lord has blessed me with four beautiful children, a good job, good health, and one rambunctious cat. As a 43 year old widower, I am ready to begin exploring the possibility of finding a new wife. My family has lived on three continents in three years. We have eaten in exotic restaurants, seen amazing sights (everything from safaris to world class museums), and adventured across amazing and, at times, even dangerous areas. Our life is fascinating but not for the faint of heart as we get to truly experience how blessed we are - we have lived in the midst of some of the poorest people on earth. If you are ready for an adventure while being a partner and wife - in every sense, emotionally, spiritually, and physically - to me while raising four children (none of whom are yet teenagers), reach out and let me know. Who am I? Most people know me by my hearty laugh and most people believe I'm an extrovert - even though, I don't really consider myself one. First and foremost, I am a family man who loves his children and takes care of his family. I love to have fun and believe that life is too short to take things too seriously. Of course, I do take care of my responsibilities - that lies at the heart of being a family man. I'm ready for an adventure! Are you?
71, Fairfax, VAI live for and treasure family, faith, and friends. I know, I know that faith is supposed to come first. However, I have not yet achieved that level of saintliness. My nuclear family is local so I get to see all my children (three) and grandchildren (two). My wife passed away 3 years ago and this web site is my first effort to meet someone. My faith is also very important to me. I pray an hour every day. I attend Mass more than once a week and belong to the +50 group which meets after 9 AM weekday Masses. That gets me out, socializing with friends, and meeting new people. To maintain my health, I alternate between my indoor bike and treadmill for 36 minutes 4 to 6 days a week. I am slowly adding light weights back into my exercise routine. I'm looking forward to meeting someone. Someone special to share our lives. I still read a lot and I used to watch some TV. Now I find myself watching movies (NetFlix) and playing a couple of games on my phone. I enjoy the beach area as well as spending time by a pool sun bathing and reading a book. i would enjoy mountain areas also but haven't been in that environment for - I almost wrote years - decades. I enjoy dining out, on healthy foods, about once a week. Of course, dining out is more enjoyable with a companion and that's why I am writing. I enjoy outdoor biking but haven't been doing it because of left knee issues which also limits my long distance walking. And yes it's frustrating and irritating to look at my bike gather dust. I also do target shooting occasionally and hope to do it on a more regular basis. I balance my excessive talking with quite a bit of listening. Often people say why did I tell you that. Well, it's because I listen and I'm interested in your anecdotes, philosophy, and or nonsense. My hair color is other because I am bald on top, white on the sides, and brown in the back. I find it hard to believe myself. I should be either completely bald (saving haircut money) or all white or all brown. I had to look in the mirror to answer the question. Really, who looks at the back of their heads? I found the picture I was looking for and it's from November 2012, and also posted a current picture. BTW, if I do not reply to an Emotigram, It's probably because I am communicating with someone else. I prefer and try to limit my contact to one person at a time. Thank you for your interest.
43, Burke, VAI've been a full-time single dad for 8 years, Its been the greatest joy of my life to watch my son grow and to be there everyday for him. He has been the biggest influence on my life. I'm very blessed to have a supportive family, along with some very dear old friends who've been in our lives since the beginning. I make friends and keep them for a long time. I'm loyal to those who've stood by me. The one thing that is most important to me is my faith. I'm constantly reading and searching for ways to grow and to learn the truth, so that when confronted or questioned, or when I find a person in need I am prepared to be a witness. Which often means just being present in the way Christ is present... not preaching or fixing, but listening and guiding. I listen to Father Robert Barron quite frequently on you tube and Word on Fire.org. He has been the single biggest Catholic influence on me. He gives me the ability to reason, to think, and to explain the hope that exists within me. My son asks some big questions. And I always go to Fr. Barron for an answer. In my leisure time I love to hike, long tough exhausting hikes are good for my body and my soul. I travel a lot for work, and when I have free time in a new city, I go hiking. Lately I've fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest. Although I'm not a professional, or by no means experienced, I am adventurous and athletic. I also love to read literature, theology, mysteries, biographies and history. We rarely eat out because I cook every night, which is a passion of mine. Again, I am in no way a professional. But I know my way around the kitchen. I can cook just about anything that has instructions. I'm pretty good at winging it, too. And when confronted by a fridge full of leftovers, I can usually come up with something new and delicious on my own. We eat everything, but it has to be natural/organic. It means shopping a lot for fresh ingredients, but I believe it is worth it.
23, Charlottesville, VAAfter 22 years, I still don't know enough about myself to know where to start! I just don't like talking about myself. I'd rather learn about others! But I do know and am proud of the fact that I am unashamedly kind, loving, respectful, creative, conservative, and Catholic! Self-employed economic researcher and published fantasy author who in enamored with history, philosophy, art, literature, music, and food! My leisure time usually involves reading a good book, playing the piano, or having lunch with some friends when we can get together! Looking for someone Catholic who is willing to share the good and bad and enjoy life as a whole. I'm part Spanish, Italian, and Cuban so food, wine, and family are the pearl in life's little oyster. Huge fan of classical music, film music, reading good books, swimming, playing tennis, and hammering out on the piano! I would love to call myself an "amateur" composer but I'm afraid I'm not even good enough to qualify as that. Nevertheless, I still love to write music! O and I also make killer homemade ice cream... just a passing thought... Otherwise, life is just an experience you're willing to live! Would love to hear from you!
22, Gloucester Point, VAI'm very easy going. My grandparents live in Vicenza, Italy. My father is retired US Army. My parents have been married for over 28 years and are great. I go to Catholic Church every Sunday for Mass. I'm currently in my second year of college. I like to laugh and have clean fun. Holding someone's hand and taking a walk and talking or watching a movie together and laughing is great also.
20, McLean, VAHi, I'm Ian. I'm 20 and have one younger brother. After taking a post-high school gap year to earn some money and show I can hold a job (check!), I'm currently in full time college planning to major in government. I'm doing this because I want to find a way to serve my country and community after I graduate. So who am I? I am someone who thinks that the most important things in life are my faith, my family (the one I was born into and the one I hope to have someday), and love for others. I try to keep things in that order, but nobody's perfect, right? I'm a lifelong New Englander, but I was born in the Bavarian Alps when my parents were stationed there, and I love that part of the world. I'm a proud Eagle Scout and love doing things in the outdoors in any season. I also love movies and live performances, especially musicals and operas. My favorite restaurants are Asian. I love sushi and the hibachi show never gets old. Perhaps my favorite thing to do is to share my interests, and explore new ones, with people I care about. I enjoy talking about current events, history, and books, and I also like to learn about what other people care about. I also savor a good joke or riddle. The cornier the better! Oh yeah, I also love to dance, so it would be great if you want to close down the dance floor with me.
58, Alexandria, VAI love life and to have any kind of success. I always look forward to talking to people and talking about what there is to love about life. I like to go to sporting events, seminars, going to the library, and going to bars. Karaoke bars are my favorite. I love to hear people speak. Famous Sports Figures are always influential as well as people I like hear singing. That is why I like Karaoke bar when not going to Church.

I also like all kinds of animals, like dogs, cat, horses, etc. I'm a very good cook. I used to work in a restaurant and my dream is that one day I'll open my own restaurant.
27, South Riding, VAI'm a family oriented guy. I spend a lot of time with my parents and help them in any way I can. I enjoy playing soccer and flag football. I used to play tennis when I was a teenager and it would be nice to find someone to play with. I was raised in a family with strong Catholic values, which for the most part, I share. Although I don't attend mass as often as I used to, I'm still very close to God through daily prayer. I love animals, specially dogs. I'm a single dad to an adorable chocolate lab pup named Choco! If you are lucky enough, you can play with him. :D I'm also very much into cars. I do most of the regular maintenance on my own cars. Fun fact, I learned how to drive on a 1983 Renault 18 wagon. It was a pretty beat up car, no power steering, no clutch feedback...often times had to be pushed an started on 2nd gear, but it was a blast!
