I am looking for somone to share my time with in activities that are of common interest to both. I am open to a more serious relatonship if that should develop. My primary outside interests are flying, computers, bowling, gardening, and some target shooting on occasion. I enjoy watching older movies from the 60s and 70s and seldom find current movies of interest.

I believe that a person's wealth should be measured by the quality of his or her friends, and from that perspective, I feel wealthy indeed. My recent conversion is most important to me, and I have joined this site because I would like to be close with someone who shares my faith and my values . . . and my sense of humor, because that is definitely a key part of my personality. My character has been shaped by events that have challenged me both academically and physically. As a result, I have become a solid citizen, with a strong sense of right and wrong. And a sense of humor (think Gary Cooper in High Noon . . . but with wisecracks). Given a choice between Most Likely to Succeed and Wittiest I would (and did) choose the latter. There is an excerpt of a poem that I think describes me: "All that is gold does not glitter,/Not all those who wander are lost;/The old that is strong does not wither, /Deep roots are not reached by the frost." Not that I am old or anything . . . . . . . . .

Here are some things about me that you might like. I am working on my Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. And a moving to the Washington, D.C. Metro area. Will be glad to tell you more about this when we meet. ABOUT ME: As you can imagine, I spend much of my free time reading a rather eclectic assortment of material; exercising in the gym; punctuated by eating healthy foods that I make to taste gourmet. I care about the way I look and have a strong spiritual side. I love playing sports and I hate playing games. I am a Federal employee for U.S. Department of Commerce, which for you means I have been thoroughly vetted by the FBI, I have a high level of self-confidence and courage gained from my lifelong failures and successes, and I set high standards for myself. People have little difficulty speaking with me, I bring out the best in them as we do. I enjoy people and people grow to love and admire me for my sense of humor, social/entertaining abilities, and tolerance for people's shortcomings. I am neither narcissistic nor egotistical. I come from a rather large Italian family, so I enjoy having family around. I do not have children and am more likely to love yours. (If you do not have children, then you get all my attention!) FUTURE GOALS & AMBITIONS: To complete my doctoral dissertation in Organizational Leadership by the end of 2016. ABOUT YOU: I am looking for a special woman with whom I can spend the rest of my life. I want to define this special woman: She is someone with a face and a smile that I can look at forever; she will have an intelligent mind that I can rely upon; a beautiful sounding voice that is unafraid to speak what is on her mind and in her heart; and a soul steeped in love and goodness. I truly desire a woman who understands companionship and bonding, who loves to laugh, and who is willing to take things as they are, and take a chance on life once again. If I sent this to you, it is because -- based on what I see and read about you -- I believe you may posses many of these qualities. YouTube & More

I am passionate about my faith, my children and grandchildren [soo lucky there]. My hobby is photography...the creative process...I have always taken pictures since 7th grade, but now that I have time I have been ramping up my skill's all about the beauty God has given us of people and the country...Being an extravert [ENFJ], I enjoy people...but spending time with a partner is one thing I miss the most. I would love to find a loving, caring woman that I could be her man and pamper her as a man should. That said, not sure social media is the way to find that love.

  • Bob, 73 from Portsmouth, VA
    73, Portsmouth, VA
I am a retired naval officer, widower, and I live on my boat in Portsmouth, Va. by choice. Sold the big house. I spent all but about three years of my childhood living in Italy , Japan and Okinawa. Most of my early schooling was in DOD schools. Finished up in Fairfax Va, and went into the navy as an enlisted man. Worked my way up to Chief, the to the Warrant officer program and finally to the LDO program. I was a department head for four tours, the Executive officer and finally Commanding officer for three years of a navy ship. During this time I was married for 36 years to a wonderful woman whom I will love to the day I die. I hope you understand that. We were both very active in the church, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, involved in ministries and anything needed in the church. It is time for me to move on. I am looking for a woman who wants to end up in a life commitment situation. I am honest, honorable and I am a gentleman. I like good restaurants, good wine and good company. I want someone who wants to attend mass with me and work together to form a meaningful relationship. I am a fiscal conservative but also sensitive to the needs of the truly needy, To that end, we feed the hungry at Oasis, And for fifteen years I ran our only fundraiser. The money raised this year goes totally to charities as we have paid off our construction debt. It would be important for you to understand that I am a patriot ,and I absolutely abhor what has happened to my country. That is pretty much me in a nutshell. If you have questions, please ask. I will answer.
  • Harry, 78 from Montclair, VA
    78, Montclair, VA
Before retiring I worked for the U.S. Department of Education in Washington and earlier taught social studies in high schools administered by the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo, N.Y. During my retirement I have been doing a good deal of gardening, travel, and volunteer work at senior citizen facilities. I also enjoy reading (particularly religious, historical, and gardening literature as well as newspapers and news magazines), dining out, going to concerts, movies, and the theater, and watching the news, sports, and history-related programs on TV. My wife of forty years was the most influential person in my life. Since she passed away two years ago, I have become more involved in organizations at my parish church. I have one daughter and see her and her family on a regular basis. I am in excellent health and lead an active lifestyle.
