Hi. I'm active, very loyal, caring and honest. My friends say my smile is contagious, though often a bit facetious. I'm an active practicing Catholic. My beliefs are in line with the magisteriam of the Church. I have a passion for the poor and disabled, especially the developmentally disabled. Active in the charismatic renewal-People of Praise community. Love to bicycle, hike, camp. Aficionado of dark micro-brews, red wines and Italian food. My Daughter is a Jr. at U of W. Having simple tastes, I'm easily entertained; parish and charity fund raising activities are always a pleasure (I can even dress-up fancy if necessary!). I really enjoy being with and getting to know other people. I love the current and former Popes during my lifetime.

To start with I'm an honest caring person who enjoys the good things in life that most of us do. I like to spend time with that significant other that I have much in common with like: the theater, dinner, good music and going for walks. Most of the things I like to do in my spare time have to do with the outdoors, nature and cultural events. I also follow current events and, though sometimes its painful, politics. I'm conscientious about my health by exercising and eating the right foods. Although I enjoy the company of others and socializing I also enjoy my own space and quiet time. I would like to meet someone with similar interests and a desire to explore life. My religious faith is the most significant aspect of my life. I'm retired after working most of my life in the the Manufacturing and Aerospace industry

I have been in my profession (radio and voice-overs) since I was 18 years of age. I love it because it is always challenging and different. I also call and play in Contra dance bands which has led to some travel and is one of my favorite activities. I've done some M.C. work, acting and comedy. I have a grown son and completed the annulment process. I want to share my life. I'm open to marriage but looking for someone with a heart for God that wants a friend first.

Hi and thanks for visiting, Its fun for me to be outdoors a lot to relax and try to stay fit: alpine skiing, trail running w/pooch, tennis, beach combing, more skiing.... Give me an excuse to play outside and I'll take it! If that's you too then maybe we should talk... I've lived a fortunate life with much to be thankful for. I'm generally happy, look for the humorous side, try to maintain a sense of life balance. My goal in a relationship is to have fun, relax, get to know one-another as friends and not be "on a timeline"; we just let our hearts/feelings guide - seeking same! I prefer low key venues, casual atmospheres, clothes, etc but clean up well :-) Let's talk first and if we decide, meet and exchange our stories. The great Northwest is a beautiful place. I live in a particularly bucolic part; it would be fun to share with the right someone!

I received word that the Annulment (2nd Instance court) was granted a week before Halloween (October 2014). I like being Catholic and for that reason I undertook the examination of my prior marriage by the Church and for it to determine if it was a Sacramental bond. The Church conducted that examination via the Canon Law and Tribunal and determined that I was free to marry. I would like to meet someone with a similiar view as to being Catholic. My photos come from 2012 and have not changed - I'm still 5'10" and 162 pounds. Hopefully, tomorrow -Thanksgiving - my friends will take some new pictures that include me and I can post them. Right now the most important thing is celebrating the Christmas season as the coming birth of Jesus. I am fortunate to be able to share with my friends things I am making in my kitchen. It is a wonderful thing to share these baked goods that I so enjoy. There are so many things in Portland, Oregon to see during the Christmas season. The present moment needs to be lived as best as one can - that brings joy.

I enjoy people who interest me and am extremely loyal to friends. Nevertheless, I have no problem being by myself as I am very introspective. Every couple of years, I find I need to recharge and refresh my spiritual life by visiting a monastery for a retreat of up to a week.. I have an intense dislike of selfish and self-absorbed people who act as if the world was made just for them and are inconsiderate of other people, their property or privacy. Yahoos who think they have a right to foist their music taste on others by playing radios and stereos loudly are a particular bone in my throat. Although I am not tightfisted with my money, I do prefer getting good value for what I pay. Nor will I spend money for something I don't want or need. Politics leave me cold. And I dislike those who take political positions at the extremes of the political spectrum. I try to evaluate candidates on their honesty and intelligence.

Serving others is fun, and I get a kick out of people's stories. I do this with my medicare plan clients, in medicare plan presentations, fundraisers for local senior centers, and rotary. I believe that working together creates wealth and abundance, much like the miracle of the loaves and fishes. My father most influenced my life through his stories of growing up in a Pyrenees village between France and Spain during the Spanish civil war. I love sailing, the outdoors, singing with the Sacred Music Choral, and Spanish culture ( I lived in Spain 4 years). After a BS in pharmacy and a bilingual MBA, I settled and married in Seattle and raised two great kids, now adults. We finally divorced 3 years ago after years of counseling and trying to make it work. I believe that health is the most important asset we own, so I stay fit and watch what I eat. Life is an adventure! ... and that like going swimming in deep water, its more fun with a "buddy".

  • Ronald, 64 from Shelton, WA
    64, Shelton, WA
My passions and what I look forward to most probably include (in the following order) my children, my friends, my job, basketball (as long as my knees hold out in practice or scrimmage), reading a good book (King, Koontz and Robins) learning (science and biology including Scientific American), politics, movies, outdoor activities (hiking and 4 wheeling), eating out (every once in a while) and any new activities and experiences that present themselves. It is hard to pick out unique experience that are influential in my life since those things that are influential appear to me to be a series of experiences or relationships instead of a single experience in time. The one exception may be my current residence and location in the northwest ever since I lost my job at local governmental organization in Spokane Washington. My family clearly has been the most influential factor in my life. My ancestry (German), religion (Catholic with most of my family being devout Catholics), residence and living location, job (accountant - my dad got an MBA from Harvard and I have three sisters who are accountants), politics (moderately conservative with most of my family but not all generally very conservative politically) are all primarily due to my immediate family. I enjoy reading a good book, watching a good movie, doing things with my children, exercising, enjoying the outdoors, parties, laughing and new places, experiences, activities and interpersonal interactions when possible.
