52, Kirkland, WAHi, I am a Roman Catholic who is absolutely on fire about my Catholic faith. I love the Blessed Virgin Mary and have a special devotion to her. I read her messages to Fr. Gobbi every day. I read the New Testament from the Jerusalem bible. Currently I am reading the Acts of the Apostles. I have been to Medjugorje, Croatia twice which brought me to my love and devotion to Our Lady. I enjoy music (I play guitar), hiking, tennis, gardening, and discussions on current events and the breakdown of morality in our American/European culture.
57, Lakewood, WAHello, My name is Pete and I have been asked to give a description of myself. First off, if you have taken the temperance test and if you have reviewed mine (most of the descriptions sound like diseases. Choleric??!!! I feel like I should be coughing up a hair ball or something.) it makes me look like a social butterfly or the life of the party. I found that test frustrating and I would actually say that Im more at the half way point between being an extrovert and introvert. I have no problem striking up a conversation or joking around with a complete stranger and yet I am also a deep thinker. I do love to laugh and I have a dry and witty sense of humor. Ummmmm thats WITTY with a W. I am originally from the Chicago area and as a result I do have a big city rough around the edges persona about me that everyone seems to find amusing. I consider myself down to earth. I love to do new things and learn new things with in reason: I'm not a type A person and I am not the type to jump out of a perfectly good airplane otherwise, I am open to most new experiences. I am a Machinist by trade and when I got laid off back in 1998 I opted to go into a re-education program (comrade ;-) I earned a two year associates degree in Computer Tech Support and I loved every minute of going to school. If I could pull it off, I would go to school for the rest of my life. Since I cant I do take classes from time to time and do a lot of learning on my own. I consider myself a lifelong learner. I will also let you in on a little secret about myself but, you have to promise to not let anyone know. I would hate to lose my card carrying membership in the He-mans club. The secret is this; I tend to cry at movies. I'm really just a big softy. (Just, don't let anyone know ok) I consider myself to be romantic and yes the big production stuff is nice but, I also believe that the little things can be just as meaningful if not more so. I don't want to go into to much detail about that because, I prefer surprises. I'm not the type that needs to have a big social network. I prefer a few close and intimate relationships. As much as I love to wear my suit and tie I prefer to be casually dressed. I tend to be optimistic and look for the bright side of things. Being from Chicago I am a die hard White Sox fan (it's a curse) and my only pro-sports indulgence. I will end with God Bless, pray for me I will pray for you. Thanks for your consideration
47, Richland, WAMy children are my world, as a single dad I am passionate about life and love to enjoy giving back when I have free time. I love to laugh, help others, farming are much enjoy, along with all kind of outdoor activities. I get so much strength from the Christ and saints who have gone before us
36, Deer Park, WAI am most passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle. This includes triathlons, mountain biking, running, and swimming. I am passionate about eating healthy and being well informed. I believe that it is very important to give back to the community in which we live. Lastlly, I enjoy woodworking. This allows me the satisfaction that I have learned to create a unique piece of furniture that will stand the test of time.
33, Seattle, WAHere, my 'swagger': life, adventure, sports, and art; I'm eager to edify my house on rock and see children home with faith, family and friendship. God's love, through the sacraments, has been the most influential "experience" in my life.
23, Cheney, WAMy name is Jeffrey and I am from the small rural town of Oakesdale, WA which is about half way between Pullman and Spokane. I recently just graduated from EWU with a Bachelors in Education. I am currently in my first year as a full time 6th grade teacher at St. Charles Catholic School. I am very passionate about my job as teacher and I love the fact that I get to teach all subjects including the faith on daily basis. Probably the most influential experience that has impacted my life was my conversion to the Catholic faith. I was raised in a Presbyterian church but when I came to college I wanted to rediscover my family's long forgotten connection to the Catholic faith and in doing so my eyes were opened to what I had been missing in my faith all along, the Eucharist. Ever since then I have fallen in love with the sacrament and the depth of Catholic traditions and history. My leisure time is usually spent with my Catholic friends on campus at the Newman Center or at my house with my room mates. I also enjoy reading books regarding Catholicism, history or anything I can get my hands on. When I am with family or friends I usually prefer going to the movies, out to eat or something engaging. I am a firm believer that laughter is the best medicine in the world and I personally love to laugh and be funny.
69, Kennewick, WAOne could call me a happy traveler. I try and plan two or more long trips yearly. For example, last year it was Italy, Wisconsin, Medjugorge (Bosnia-Herzocovinia, & Croatia.), and Costa Rica. This year'll be a little less active! Most of the time I travel alone-at least so far. I used to be into a number of, well I guess what you could call "Artsy" things and activities, but since retirement that's changed. I do really enjoy the internet and simulator activities. Besides traveling I enjoy cooking, (Well, at least I'm interested.) Let's just say that I enjoy instructive cooking shows, like Rachel Ray, much more than any spectator sports. Actually, I'm NOT much of a sports guy at all. So there's your chance, Ladies! I also enjoy anything about geography, history, etc. Recently I have been getting back into drawing. I come from a very large and very Catholic, and did I mention very wonderful family! We lived two houses away from the Church! However, like many, as I grew up, I drifted away from the Church for most of my adult life, only recently returning after my divorce. It's great to be back! I'm very thankful to my dear Mother, whom I'm positive is now a Saint! Also, I seem to be perfectly happy with my single life, am not needy at all. I am interested in getting to know friends and traveling companions, but I Do keep an open mind. As you can probably see, I am a practicing, active Catholic, and intend to remain that way. That said, I'd love to meet some of you!
30, Seattle, WAHoping to meet someone that I feel at home with. As an out-of-towner in the PNW, and never a member of the "dating" crowd of 20/30-somethings, this is a tall order! Being online is sort of like pulling teeth for me, so I'll be getting to this profile very, very slowly, after lots of prayer and quiet contemplation. Thanks for your patience.
27, Everett, WAI'm a software engineer and an aspiring novelist. I have a love/hate relationship with writing; it's the most challenging thing I've ever done and the most lonely endeavor. I don't ever want to back to higher education, but being in my profession, there's always new things to learn and mistakes to be made. Despite this, I do have a passion for education. I am a TEALS tutorial - I teach computer science to the local high school twice a week throughout the school year. I am an introvert but am trying to get out my comfort zone. I recently started taking some dance classes (Lindy Hop) and maybe all the other genres after. It's really fun! I used to be really into athletics but injuries have kept me on the bench. I do enjoy going to the gym and working out and swim. Health and fitness is a high priority.
37, Pasco, WAI am passionate about working with people. I look forward to a next chapter in my life.
