Hey, what's up? I'm new to this internet dating stuff, and I don't like to dribble on about myself, so i'll keep it short and sweet. I try to be a good person and and treat people with respect, but am honest when it comes to my faults and failings. I enjoy meeting new people and try to keep life interesting. I have goals in life and hope to meet someone to share those goals with. I firmly believe in a healthy marriage, with plenty of communication, and treating my spouse as my best friend and life long companion. So lets have fun and see were this goes!

Hello there, you have come upon someone who enjoys the little things in life and lives it one opportunity at a time. I am very set in my ways and my beliefs, I like to have fun and enjoy a night out on the town. I enjoy reading and I dabble in poetry from time to time. I look forward to going on a real adventure, filled with all the avenues of a good movie, danger, mystery, drama and a little fun. There's a lot more about me that you should know but that's for you to ask and find out.

06.01.16 ~ Now annulled, how thankful and blessed I feel. 07.09.16 ~ Lost my Mom, my angel on earth was called home; we were blessed to have her on short term loan from God. I am a relocated east coaster who has grown to appreciate the PNW. I am blessed to work for the company I do with talented colleagues. My interests include trying new restaurants, sight-seeing, attending theatre or a sporting event and getting together with family and friends. Always try to have my Sunday influence the rest of the week. Chivalry is one of my hallmarks; being polite, respectful and courteous have their time and place and should never go out of style.

I had a wonderful marriage of 40 years until my wife's death 3 years ago. I recently retired from a career I thoroughly enjoyed, but it was time to stop and appreciate the rest of the time that God gives me. I have two great kids and soon to be 4 grandchildren who allow me to see life through their eyes. Family is a big part of my life. I don't know that I am looking for marriage, but then I am just starting on this new journey. I do know that having a special someone to care about is one of the things I miss the most. Good music and theater, laughter and quiet moments, reading, and fishing are all important to me. And, spur of the moment "road trips" are never out of the question. I grew up with sports and they are an important part of who I am. I continue to play competitive baseball (not softball) and plan to play as long as I can. I feel blessed that I am still able to play a game I have loved all my life and thank God every time I step on a ball field. I don't expect someone to share my love for sports, but they do have to appreciate that it is what I enjoy. The traits that are most important to me are very simple. Accept me for who I am. Be honest with yourself and me. Believe in something. Care about others and yourself. Don't sweat the small stuff and never be afraid to laugh at yourself. (I can usually find something to laugh about myself just about every day, but maybe I'm just an easy target). Be active, but not necessarily athletic. Have a curiosity about life and an appreciation of both amazing and simple things. Thanks for taking a few moments to read my story. I hope that you find the person who brings you happiness, as do I.

I love my kids. I share custody of my two children: my son who's seven, and my daughter who's four going on 30. I have always been a family man and enjoy it. I grew up in a large family, my grandparents raised me, counting all of the cousins and my sisters; that's what I know. I am personable, quiet, and gentle. I have a dry sense of humor, thanks to Monty Python, and find that laughing with is much better than laughing at. I tend to react slowly when confronted by antagonism or strong emotions; I value a harmonious relationship and tend to be the calming force in tumultuous situations. I rarely find myself angry, I am able to freely forgive, and do not hold onto hurts. I am compassionate, sensitive, caring, and always tend to be the person who is helping. I am not a perfectionist, nor do I believe there is only one way to accomplish a task. I value my friendships; I don't need many--just a few really good friends, to whom I am intensely loyal. I can spend hours in artistic endeavors, gardening, in nature, reading, listening to music. I have somewhat old fashioned ideas, not about roles so much as about respect. I respect people as individuals and therefore expect a similar level of respect. I'm not a Sunday football fanatic, but I do like to watch my Packers play. The perfect game day, involves cuddling with you on the couch, enjoying a nice fire in the fireplace, a tasty snack or two, a beverage and of course a Packers win. Go Pack Go!

I am passionate about my family, my career, my friends, and my reputation. I treasure being identified as my children's father, being recognized as belonging to someone can be really cool! My friends, my career and my reputation are closely related. My job requires that people trust me and my judgement. Can get a bit tricky at times. More later, over coffee and a slice of Tiramisu.

I am a History Professor and am very passionate about teaching and mentoring my students to help them achieve greatness. I am grounded in my catholic faith as I converted from a protestant background. Having a best friend who I enjoy playing board games with and his childhood friend Father Brad who became a priests I frequently go snow skiing and hiking with Fr. Brad and many of the other local priests which is special since I have all day to hear and discuss many aspects of the faith. I have a lot of activities I enjoy such as swing dancing (ballroom dancing in general). Ice skating and Ice hockey, sailing with good friends, and travel. I love Europe and as a History professor I take students to Europe when I can and travel on my own. I volunteer my time with the Civil Air Patrol an Auxiliary for the USA. We fly in Cessna Airplanes to search for crashed airplanes and take photos. I am well established in my parish and join in on prayer groups and bible studies. I live in Renton with my Cat Chester. I go to St. Stephen the Martyr. I hope to start a family and continue traveling to Europe and explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest around us.
