45, Birmingham, MII had to update this: I'm an easy going, caring, generous, kind, funny, and well-spoken guy. Some might say "a little rough around the edges but a great guy nonetheless". I'm pretty high-energy but can slow down at times. I was a long-distance runner but I had to cut down on my mileage big time the last couple of years due to a back/foot injury. I'm a jeans and tee shirt/sweater type of person but clean up pretty well when I need to. I'm very pro-life and tend to side with those less fortunate. I enjoy watching my niece and nephews grow up, being with my family and friends, running, road biking, mountain biking, playing board and card games, reading non-fiction, eating out and lounging among other things. I seldom watch TV-I'd rather enjoy good company/conversation. I'm a sinner. I swear too much. I used to party a lot but not anymore. I want to travel more. I'd like to become a better swimmer. There is so much more I'd like to do but I think it would be so much better to do those things with someone! I used to be big on material things (car, home and other stuff) and although I still like nice things I lead a much more simple life now. So if you're looking for a "climb the corporate ladder" or "go-getter" type, I'm not your dude. Peace!
70, Redford, MIMy faith is the center of my life and love talking about Jesus and His church. I'm far from perfect but I am honest, kind, caring, compassionate, passionate, loving, romantic and have a sense of humor. Want to hear you laugh. I'll pray with you, curse with you, laugh with you, cry with you, dance with you, sing with you, walk with you, carry you when you need me to and of course help you get to Heaven. You'll help me won't you? I've had motorcycles most of my life and love my Harleys. Aviation is another passion but I'm not currently flying. Love airshows, air museums, movies, dancing, socializing with friends and/or family (love a good party) with an occasional quiet, romantic dinner for two. Speaking of dinner I do like to cook but keep it simple. Not the best dancer around but at least those ballroom dance classes taught me how to keep from stepping on your toes. lol Don't have dogs anymore but Tuxedo, my African Grey parrot, keeps me company.. Being an animal lover, and retired mounted police officer, I do have a strong affection for horses. You know what they say, "Anyone who loves horses can't be ALL bad." P.S. My ex-wife passed away in 2011, may God rest her soul, so I'm free to marry in the church. I will not, can not marry outside the church.
28, Bloomfield Hills, MII like good food, and food in general. I like having a couple drinks on occasion but I am not a big drinker. I enjoy writing and learning. I have a core philosophy that is based on how i observe the natural world. My favorite author is Peter Kreeft, I've loved his work since I was in 7th grade. His writing helped to shape me. I also admire the English journalist GK Chesterton. I believe the natural law leads to God and his holy Roman Catholic church. I am interested in jurisprudence, the philosophy of law. I try to follow the church's social teaching which makes the social scene a little tough at times. My favorite movie is "A Man for all seasons", its also my favorite play...Sir. Thomas More is my favorite saint. I admire how Thomas More did the moral thing without breaking the secular law. I value the rule of law, I think law is very important for any society to survive.
29, Lapeer, MIFor the time being, I am looking for friends, and if more develops from friendship, then all glory to Our Lord and Lady. The rest of my profile still stands true, as there must be a mutual respect and a sharing of hearts and minds among friends. Here's the deal! I'll tell you the type of manly character for which I am looking, but I'll also tell you about my character in return. I'm an old-fashioned, practicing Catholic girl with a zest for life, a frequent and sincere smile, and an easy-going personality (but that does not mean I'm a push-over). Faith, family and true friends are most important to me. My social life is geared toward family, friends and college events in preparing for my chosen career. Although I am often quiet, I can definitely hold a great conversation. I am an observant, people-oriented person. If it turns out that a young man and I can be true friends (not just acquaintances), we may be onto something special. A real friendship must be the basis of any (possible) courtship. How do I define courtship? Courtship involves 2 people in an exclusive relationship in order to assess shared morals, mutual attraction, love, loyalty, compatibility and complement-ability (ok, I made up that last word!) Exclusivity means "It's just you and me, kid." Should friendship lead to courtship, and courtship lead to love, why would you (or I) need to spend time with someone of the opposite gender? Btw, I come from a close-knit family. Getting to know me includes getting to know my family and spending time with us - something any decent young man will enjoy because my family is a LOT of fun! (Playing "Uno" according to "Our House Rules" is hysterically merciless.) Of course, courtship also includes "public dates" together like walking through town & window-browsing, perhaps attending a summer concert in the park, or maybe a simple but enjoyable afternoon of skating - and btw, if I fall, you get to chivalrously help me up! Then there's bocce, croquet, horse-shoes, bowling, a walk by the lake, a summer or fall bonfire - S'mores are a must! - and the end-of-summer Renaissance Festival.
31, Macomb, MIHi, my name is James. I'm a very easy-going and down-to-earth guy. I am a traditional Catholic attending the Traditional Latin Mass. I have a Bachelor of Accountancy and I am currently studying for the CPA exam. As far as interests, I enjoy all kinds of sports (especially hockey). Music is also a big part of my life. I love to play the piano. I love to be outdoors. I'm into the simple things, like hanging out with friends, watching movies, and spending time with the family. I don't believe chivalry is dead and I am trying my best to be a gentleman. I also hope you like a dry sense of humor and sarcasm. I'm new to the internet dating sites, so I'm not too good at introducing myself online, as you may have noticed. I'm pretty open to any question if you'd like to ask. My faith is very important to me. It is a part of my daily life. I am looking for a good woman to help lead our family to Heaven. I am looking for a woman with more traditional views: one who wants a big family, goes to Mass frequently, and one who loves the Faith. It would be nice to find someone who puts God first (in His rightful place).
46, Clarkston, MII would describe myself as a fun-loving, outgoing, athletic, Catholic, family man! I am a recent convert to Catholicism on paper! I was a life long Lutheran that went to the University of Notre Dame and married a Catholic. We raised our children Catholic and until recently did not feel the call to conversion. But my recent conversion has been spectacular. My interests include . . . fatherhood, golf, bird hunting, skiing, travel (Europe especially), cooking, enjoying fine food, coaching my children, and socializing. I am active in my children's Catholic school and also sit on the school board. My father, who is a born again Christian is the most influtential person in my life. He has shown me what to do and what NOT to do. He is a truly wonderful man. I am an entrepreneur by nature, and have always loved sales. 3 years ago I sold a company which allowed me to build a new career, which I love. I am passionate about Veteran's causes as I was a Naval Officer for a number of years and I was a Veteran of Desert Shield. I am presently looking into certifying my Lab as a therapy dog for Vets. I am a devoted father and have 3 wonderful kids, which are my #1 priority. Boy 13, and girls 11 and 9. We are all active in basketball, golf, tennis and swimming. There is no better day than when they all have a game and I get to see all three of them play. As a family we are very active. We have backpacked out West, go bird hunting together, shoot deer together, etc . . . . I love being in the field with my children. Lastly, I love to cook. I would rather cook for friends than go out to eat. I have family and friends over all the time to eat and I'm prery sure they leave happy as they keep coming back.
68, Canton, MIMy Faith is the most important aspect in my life. I want to find someone to share the joy of being Catholic. My family is next on my list. I have two grown children, eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life but I am looking forward to finding someone special to share all these wonderful blessings and more. I love to travel and am open to new adventures. I love "up north" in Michigan, especially the upper peninsula. I like to entertain and have friends over but also enjoy spending quiet time alone. Not into watching much TV except for HGTV or EWTN. I love listening to the Catholic Radio station everyday; which helps keep my faith strong. I love being inspired by wonderful people, music, great places (Grand Canyon or just being out on my deck) and learning new things. I think everyday is a special gift; another day to be happy, help out another person even in a small way and just enjoy the gifts God has given me. I love being on the water...now that is a great place to feel the presence of God...especially sailing or swimming. Summer is the best time of the year! I enjoy canoeing/kayaking/camping/boating. But I am happy gardening at home, also. I am still working right now but am thinking about retiring or working part-time. I would just miss all the great people I work with and also I like my job a lot. I like to keep busy. Some days after work I like to go to the botanical gardens and take photos of nature, go for long walks or get lost in a bookstore.
61, Dearborn, MIHi, After getting all of that money and finally finding that perfect match, I'm no longer looking for anyone. You should have hung onto me while you could.
24, Dundee, MIHey all! I'm a serious Catholic who loves his faith and wants to keep growing in it. The Faith is the most important aspect of my life, followed closely by my family, and after that, my career. I'm a slow mover who can take life a little too seriously sometimes, but otherwise loves to goof off. I come from a large family and love everything that goes with that! My hobbies/favorite activities include, fishing, camping, shooting, pick-up sports, and hanging out with close friends. I'm looking for a woman who shares the same values and isn't afraid to share the journey with someone who has a few rough edges.
28, Harrison Charter Township, MIImportant disclaimer from the outset is that I decided to join the site mostly to try to meet new people who share a deep commitment to the Faith, so I'm primaryly just looking to meet new friends right now, but I'm open to God's will regarding where a strong friendship could lead.
51, Oxford Charter Township, MIThanks for checking in on me! Since you're so kind to do so, here's more on Kim, the person: I am a convert to my Catholic faith and very passionate about it! Not theological passionate (I can't follow directions up and down my driveway let alone remember chapter and verse of our catechism of it!), but "heartfelt" passionate. So much so that when I get to heaven, I'm gonna ask "what in the world?!" concerning a few things in my life; so, I'm looking forward to that! As you can see, I tend to be looking for the happy/humorous side of God's green earth and those who are on it. I also am not a big conversationalist and tend to the quieter side of life. I can be happy not saying much of anything and just observing as I would be to say lots when on a roll and on a favorite topic! I like to write better than talk, if I can get creative enough to put it into words. And I can't remember the last time I wore a dress or skirt, or make-up for that matter! So, if you are looking for a "girly-girl", I may not fit because I'm comfortable in my own skin.... and it's usually w/o make-up or fancy clothes. I think that all stems from being a "town-boy" and being active in playing sports growing up...? :o) The most influential in my life? The human, two feet on the ground kind, flesh and bone kind of folks? That'll be my dad; my "God mom" Sue (sponsor) who spent endless nights answering my Q's about the Church and led me to my Catholic faith; my bestest friend, Theresa; St. Bernadette Soubirous... I admit to being on the slacker side of leisure time and tend to be a homebody. So, I love to read (got 3-4 books going in every room in the house, including the "library" [bathroom]), play the one or two games I understand on my iPad, read conservative online posts, articles and websites. Used to be more active, but have been slowing down as of late; I used to like walking on nature paths, around lakes, leisure biking, etc. As with anyone, I come with some baggage that would take a very understanding, compassionate, empathetic man who can also see the inside - the heart - of a person and not the physical... and live his Catholic faith as I do. :o)
27, Grosse Ile Township, MII have been Catholic for a little over 5 years. I am looking for someone who shares the same religious views as I do. Ideally, I would like to find someone to attend mass, confession and receive communion with weekly. I am in the process of adopting my 10 year old niece and potentially my 2 year old nephew. My niece has lived with me since she was 5 years old and we are very close. Although I have not actually ever gave birth, she is basically my child which is why I have listed her as such. Although I just recently bought my house on Grosse Ile, I have lived here for over 10 years. I moved here my junior year in high school and after graduation, rented an apartment for a while. I absolutely love it here and just to be honest, have no intention of moving. So hopefully I can find someone who could potentially share my love of the island. My two most favorite things to do are boating and going out to eat. I love food and I love being on the water. I mostly listen to country music but enjoy other genres as well. Occasionally I'll hit the bar with girlfriends for some drinks and dancing. I usually prefer a night at home, cuddling with my dogs and watching Netflix. I also like having bonfires, weather permitting. I'm pretty laid back and like to relax in my down time. I would like to find someone who enjoys these things as well. Even though I'm not a huge sports fan I think dating someone who is can be fun. I mean, who doesn't like tailgating? I admire a man who hunts/fishes and have a HUGE respect for those who have served our country. I would prefer a handy man. If something breaks, I would rather my man be able to fix it than have to call someone else to do it. These are just a few things that would earn points in my book. I'm not really sure what else to say other than if you're interested after reading my profile and are a respectful gentleman, feel free to reach out!
