YIkes..this thing changes your age for you! Ok, so today is my birthday. I'm all of 59 and thank God that I am alive to see this day. The last few years sure have been an interesting ride with ups and downs and many prayers to God to help me on my way. I feel that I'm on the upswing now and so glad that the trials I've been through are coming to an end. There is nothing like a huge health scare to set you straight in your ways. I am so grateful for what I have in my life, 2 wonderful sons with beautiful wives and a wonderful granddaughter (and nooooo..she is not spoiled by me....much). I cherish what God has given me in my life, accepted the changes that have been made (not all by my doing either) and try to find the good in all that is out there. I"ve been told that when you stop worrying and looking feverishly for someone to come into your life, that is when it will happen. I figure now, I'll sit back and see what happens. I'll continue to be me, happy with the world and all my surroundings, no matter what the outcome. God is good--all the time! Update..this was written on Dec 26, which is my birthday..lol...i should have clarified this when i originally wrote it.

I'm a fiery Irish gal who works as a social worker with the mentally ill for the county where I live. I am currently living in my own apartment and my two sons are grown and out on their own living wonderful lives. I have three granddaughters and they are all amazing little girls who have spirit like their grandma! I hold a bachelor's degree in Social Work from EMU and I also have a Master's Degree in Divinity. I was an ordained clergy in Methodist tradition before my son died in an accident and I lost my faith. I converted to Catholicism in 2000. I left the church for a few years due to our priest admitting to sexual abuse and tried to return to the faith almost a decade ago. I do not consider myself a devout Catholic and struggle to feel a sense of belonging. I do like to Lector but am not someone who joins a church. I have a friend and guide who is a priest and that is what keeps me around. I have a beautiful statue of Our Lady of Lourdes in my apartment. Sadly I was yelled at by a priest so that burned me and I haven't felt good in church since. I do attend another church but I don't have friends there. I have a panic disorder and sometimes have to leave Mass early. I'm too afraid of being hurt again to make friends. I go on Saturday afternoon or Sunday night when I can. I don't go weekly, sometimes I skip for a while if I'm too anxious to go. I do not smoke and do not want to be with someone who does but vaping is OK. I enjoy travel (went to Dublin Ireland for 5 days 3 years ago) and I am very extroverted. I love to socialize and love craft beer. I also enjoy reading my Kindle and Nook tablet, watching cable TV, and chatting online. I love TV forensic shows. I am a die hard Guinness beer fan and I love U of M football. I also love the beach, picnics, cooking, and writing in my blog. I have this dream of being a world famous blog author but I enjoy it regardless of who reads it. I am an immaculate housekeeper and collect lighthouses. All I need is a special someone to make my life complete. My annulment was approved by the Lansing Diocese in June of 2012. Message me and let's be friends.

My Catholic faith is important to me. Family and friends are a large portion of my life. I find fun in most everything I do; I enjoy life. My outlook - there is so much to look forward to, things to do, experiences to savor. I love animals. My music preferences cover a wide genre from classical to country/western. I like to go for long walks, read non-fiction books and be spontaneous. Prefer travel within the continental U.S.

I've met the most wonderful woman, right here on CM! I started to wonder if it would every happen...It took 1 1/2 years, but I finally found her...So DON'T GIVE UP!! God Bless you, and I wish you the best! Hi! All in all, I'm a pretty basic guy...The things I value most are my relationships (God, family, friends, etc). I guess the thing that separates me from the "average Joe" is my faith; which is something I'm very serious about. I have a pretty snappy sense of humor (been called the king of the one-liners), which is usually full of snark & sarcasm...You'll probably wanna smack me sooner or later. ;) To be honest, there's not really much to say about myself...I'm an average guy, for the most part...I enjoy spending time with the people I love. I really enjoy being outdoors (not so much in Winter). I like taking the occasional camping trips, hikes, etc. I have a pretty wide range of activities I enjoy; I'm up for pretty much anything as long as it doesn't land me in the hospital or in jail :) I also like hunting & fishing...I enjoy the shooting sports. I've got a few guns, and enjoy going to the range...ever been?

Living by myself for the first time in 40 years and finding myself. I enjoy bicycling and walking when weather permits. I am retired from a government job and love to travel and see new places. I do volunteer work at my Church and the senior center in my town. I have three grown children that are married and enjoying their lives. I spend my winters in Florida kayaking and bicycling and the summers riding the trails in Michigan.

    1) Very into my Catholic faith. Without it, I would be lost. There is nothing I love more than experiencing Christ in the Eucharist. 2) Love kids! They're so funny, and I believe that sometimes you just need to talk to a three year old to understand life again. 3) I love laughing. Making people laugh, people making me laugh, it's the best kind of therapy. (Next to camping.) 4) I'm pretty outdoorsy. I love camping, fishing, road-tripping, hiking, and taking pictures outside; And I'm obsessed with baseball. The Detroit Tigers have my heart, and brownie points if you love them too. (Also, I'm 100% a dog person.)

I love to spend time with family and friends! Things I like include red wings hockey, northern mi summers, boating, bonfires, movies ( but I don't like movie theaters), bike riding, a good book, laughter, interesting business ideas, restaurants, and relaxing on Sunday's.

I would describe myself as a pretty easy going person. I enjoy sports and pretty much anything outside. I especially like being on the water in the summertime.

Hello, my name is Amanda. I tend to be a pretty laid-back person most of the time. I am a little shy at first, but once I get to know someone I can be pretty silly and goofy. I love to laugh, but I can be serious when I need to be. Most people who know me would describe me as kind, caring and willing to put others before myself, which can get me into trouble at times. I try to enjoy life and make of the most of any situation. My faith, my son, and spending time with family and friends are top priorities for me. I enjoy being outdoors and near the water, and anything that has to do with boats. I like traveling and learning about new places or trying new things. I like to stay busy, but sometimes I just want to stay at home and watch a movie or read a good book.

I have been a widow for over three years and adjusting to living by myself. I enjoy being outdoors in the summer and traveling around Michigan. I love to travel when the opportunity comes up. My faith is important to me. I attend Mass on Sundays and I am a Eucharistic minister for my Church.
