Fear not! Marriage minded. If you are going, get in! I believe in all of the teachings of the Catholic Church, including the ones I haven't discovered yet. Not perfect, but seeking perfection in love with faith. Life: Good, clean fun! Suffering should be used wisely for the salvation of souls. I love animals (many of them are delicious), vegetarian two days per week. I also enjoy 4x4 trucks, home improvement stores, boats, camouflage, guns, weekends at the lake and sunsets over water. Blessed with a few true friends and a faithful family. Adventurous. I try to live each day in the present. Money isn't worth anything until you give it away or spend it. I have been employed since I was 15 years old and have been employed at the same job for over 15 years. I do not live in my mom's basement (she doesn't have a basement) but I see her or talk to her almost every day. Homeowner since 2005. Every person is a diamond with many facets discovered over time. Eternal optimist and weary traveler ready to anchor my ship in a safe harbor. I believe in meeting ASAP if we are interested in each other. Age not an issue, unless it is an issue for you. Be not afraid!

For starters, the question I hate most in life is "tell us about yourself," but ok. I'm a lawyer in metro Detroit. I'm involved in my parish, which I've belonged to since I went to its grade school. (I'm a lector and on the finance committee.) I love books (especially history, biography, novels, and sci-fi) and movies. I've never been married and don't have any kids, but I'm hoping to meet someone to have a family with.

UPDATE, AS OF FEB. 2017: I've been divorced for many years, twice actually. I never pursued an annulment, even though seven priests have suggested it. Now with greater devotion to pleasing the Lord, It is clear to me that if I say the right things in the right way, and line up the right witnesses, the Church will grant the annulment, and so if it is just that simple to manipulate, it may be valid, but can it be licit? Until I resolve this conflict, I am not eligible to be married in the Church, and I do not want to lead anyone astray with romantic feelings of a future relationship with me. If you are seeking friendship only, feel free to send me a message. I have three sons. The youngest is 27, next at 33, and the oldest is 36 and married, so now I have a daughter, too. I earned an MBA in 2008, and started a new career in the fuel industry, plus I am building a network marketing business, and I am especially interested in finding Catholic business colleagues around the world. For fun, I also work at the Detroit Tigers baseball games. I am active with the US Taxpayers Party of Michigan, which nominated me to run as the candidate for the Wayne State University Board of Governors. All this keeps me very busy, and a friend recently told me, "You don't have time for a girlfriend!" I am now a member of a parish following the Society of Pope St. Pius X. Thanks be to God, Benedict XVI lifted the excommunication of the SSPX bishops by JPII. Thankfully also, I kept my grandfather's missal, for we pray the mass in Latin.

I became widowed suddenly after 33 years of a good marriage. I keep myself busy. I do have a variety of interests. I would like to share time with someone with similar interests and begin with a good friendship that could possibly develop into a more significant relationship. I am retired after a 36 year career in the automotive industry. I like to do a variety of things including cooking, reading, movie going, dancing, traveling (one day trips as well as a desire to see the U.S. over time), boating, fishing, playing cards and open to new things to do. I volunteer at the Performing Arts as an usher; I belong to a Book Club and an Exercise Club. My Catholic faith is important to me and has gotten me through difficult life situations. I attend Bible Study weekly which has increased my understanding of the faith and has helped me develop new friendships.

Hello!! (Disclaimer- ignore typos, I get a pass for typing on an iPad!) :). I've rewritten, long short everything in between, I have no idea what to do here .. So, I love God, jazz, play the piano, love love love music (no rap, grunge, heavy metal), puzzles, board games, reality shows, festivals, dusk & dawn, good conversation, a glass of wine, a walk, a bike ride, cities with energy, and Im told I have one of the funniest sneezes -- I got a "10" the other day at work :D People tell me I am "bubbly" .....Looking for friendship to see where it leads :) I am traditional in some ways. I like a strong man who can care of things. Also traditional in that, I'm not comfortable reaching out first.....just Sayin :-p. My faith is a daily part of my life..... I've been through a lot and don't take life for granted. Must love dogs! I hesitated to put this out there but I'm going to anyway. I was going to put heavy side but my friends told me to put a few extra pounds. Here's the story ....I exercise regularly, I have all my life. I am careful With my eating habits and trying to stay low carb and healthy. I even did "The Whole 30". I am always the one not having the piece of cake, or cookie, or taking the bread off my sandwiches, etc. However, I had thyroid cancer and thus have no thyroid. I have a difficult time managing my weight, but those that know me know that I do everything I can to stay healthy. My doctor told me I have slow metabolism, metabolic syndrome, coupled with stubborn genes. I guess I wanted to put out there that I TRY TO be healthy, and do all I can. I even joined Boot Camp for a time but then got the thyroid cancer and had to stop because of the surgery. I love to ride my bike, take walks be active! Many of my friends tell me that I am very hard on myself in this area. Some tell me I don't see myself the way that I really am. Most don't understand how I can have a weight problem with the way that I eat and take care of myself. Musician (professional or for fun) a plus but not required! I'm waiting for God to match me with my person for the next chapter of my life.

My name is Tarik. Pronounced like Derek, but with a T. I'm 23 soon to be 24. I'm a writer/musician and an animal lover. I also love art as well as photography. Family and friends is the most important thing in my life. Music truly is my life. Music is my heart, my soul and what I live for. People say money makes the world go 'round. I say it's kind and loving people. Showing some kindness and love goes a long way. I try to enjoy life and live peacefully.

I have an inquisitive mind; I love to learn something new. Now that I have time, going back to school to pick up some classes sounds great. I just have to see what's out there that intrigues me. I love being outdoors and enjoying the different seasons. Spring time is special; I look forward to the planting season, flowers, tomatoes, peppers, whatever strikes my fancy and will fit into the garden. This year I planted sunflower seeds, and was surprise when they took over. With spring being my favorite, when fall comes I am ready for it. It brings serenity, calming effect after the heat of summer. Winter we won't talk about. Cooking is also a great thing to do. I love trying new recipes and having friends and family over to cook, play cards, go swimming or just plain enjoy a day together.
