70, Hudsonville, MII strived to provide for my family's financial, physical and spiritual needs and shared the child care duties for raising my two daughters. I worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer for most of my career but always put family needs first. I have a tremendous love for my daughters who are now grown, college graduates and living on their own as wonderful Christian girls. My earlier experiences included a tour of duty in Vietnam with the Marine Corps, playing the drums in local bands, photography and an MSU Engineering degree. I am currently running a small video editing business out of my home. I also work part time as a computer technician. I've been divorced several years now and live with our dog in a nice home in a family neighborhood. I literally like to do everything; travel, concerts, hiking, exercising, etc. I like to cook healthy food but could definitely use some guidance. I am healthy, have all my teeth and joints and thankful to God for that :) I enjoy doing things for other people. I also enjoy teasing and being teased once in a while to stay young at heart.
70, Whitehall, MII am funloving and adventuresome; love laughing even if it's at my own expense. I am very flexible when it comes to what makes the ideal date - it may be taking a hike in our grubbies or dining in our biz casual. I have a great love for most music especially Christian Contemporary. I love to meet people and be with friends. I like traveling to places already visited and yet to be explored. I love to watch my grandkids play sports and have probably seen upwards of 100 games of some sort in the past 12 months. Last but foremost - my faith is very important to me.
73, Muskegon, MII enjoy being with people and animals. I like being outdoors when the weather is nice, traveling, golf a little and watch a little tv. I am an easy to get along with kind of woman...I hate playing mind games so I will be honest with you. I really am quite self sufficient but would love to have someone in my life to do things with and maybe, just maybe, fall in love again. I love traveling and seeing different places and different cultures. Have been fortunate to have done some overseas travelling and just loved it...miss doing that now.
64, Ada, MIMy name is David, you can call me Dave or David, and I have been retired for about 7 years now. I used to work in the state prisons. I live on a small lake with my cat and my doxie, not far from St. Patrick Catholic Church. I enjoy the warmer weather most just because it keeps me so busy fishing, gardening, family gatherings, nights out by the fire pit, working on the house (mostly remodeling) and yard work. I am a pretty good cook (I grew up around the restaurant business). I bake breads, cookies, and really, really good cinnamon rolls (usually with raisins). I ice fish occasionally, but. I'd rather do it from the boat in warm weather. I am pretty easy going and laid back, but when I get going on a project, I usually get going full tilt until I'm done or have to stop. I'll even bring the spotlights out if it get's dark! The two people that have had the most influence on my life of course are my parents. I am from a large family, 2 brothers and five sisters, and I respect my parents' ability to put up with all the "stuff" they had to go through bringing us up, especially the stuff I did. They probably thought I'd never straighten out. Anyway, my father was one of the nicest and friendliest people you could have ever met. He really knew how to relate to, listen to and help people. I also learned much of my cooking skills from him. My mother was more withdrawn and held on to much of her simpler roots from the days of surviving on very little and making the most of what you can with what you've got. Right to the end she thought of nothing but leaving something for all her children. Of course there are many teachers from my school days as a child I will never forget because they were genuine. But there are also a few that did that special something that drew people in to learning even though the subject was difficult. I would not be where I am now if it hadn't been for a concerned clerk when I was in the Army. I hadn't been in Germany very long and was still trying to shake off some of the bugs of my youth and was on the edge of oblivion. One of the company clerks who was getting out soon approached me and struck up a conversation. He asked me if I knew how to type. The funny thing was, I had taken typing in high school. I only got a "D" in it, but that was enough to get me the job to replace him when he left. I ended up being the main clerk until I was discharged "Honorably" from the service. Things only got better after that.
65, Hart, MILife is great! Friends and family are very important and we enjoy getting together often. I love to hang with both. It's fun to travel either to another part of the country or a neighboring county by 4-wheeling, riding horse, snowmobiling, car or foot. The beach is a great place to walk and appreciate what God has made. But I have been blessed with a fun love of dancing and I do a lot of country dancing.
74, Holland, MII care a lot about faith and reason and I'm working on a degree in Theology, to deepen my understanding of the Faith. I love my grandkids and want to be near them, at least for part of the year. I look forward to research and writing, and to reading widely in the Church's theological tradition. My mother and dad had an enormous influence on me, in all sorts of ways, and they were deeply committed to truth and fairness, though my dad's faith was deeper. My sister is a close confidante. We have long phone conversations, about family, God, ideas, life in general. My leisure activities include watching old movies on DVD or Cable or Web, having a nice restaurant meal (though it's awfully lonely eating alone and I never go out to a restaurant without family or a friend along), listening to good music, including opera, and reading non-fiction. I ride my bike in the warm months and swim in my municipal swimming pool in the fall and winter and early spring.
