35, Ypsilanti, MILife is meaningless without Jesus and his Spirit. He makes himself so present. I'm just trying to figure out what his ultimate plan is for me. I believe he is calling me to step beyond myself to live for another and eventually for a family. I enjoy thought provoking conversations filled with humor, perhaps over a glass of a good cab or malbec. I really enjoy being physically active. This is how I spend a lot of my free time. I love rock climbing (indoors, mostly), and Capoeira. On the other hand, I also find ideas and cleverly used language compelling, so I like to learn about philosophy and technology and to read good books (Chesterton, ftw). I also enjoy anime, manga, video games and retro cartoons though they don't take a lot of my time these days. Cooking is fun, especially when it is done for others, and even more when it is done with others. I don't eat out very often, but I do appreciate "haute cuisine" from time to time and I'm always interested in trying new things. I spent a year in seminary. It was great, but it turns out that God isn't calling my to be a diocesan priest. I'm still grateful for all the friends I made and the growth I experienced there. I also spent a few semesters in Japan when I was studying Japanese. The thought of spring cherry blossoms and summer festivals still makes me nostalgic.
32, Ann Arbor, MII was raised nominally Protestant but I met Jesus and experienced a "true conversion" to Christianity in 2000 and to Catholicism in 2004. I work full time as an executive assistant at Legatus in Ann Arbor, Michigan which is a membership organization dedicated to helping Catholic CEOs study, live and spread their faith. I am practical, logical, and somewhat introverted but I also have a quirky, goofy side and take pleasure in many simple or nostalgic activities. In my free time I train for and compete in eventing which is an equestrian sport. I look forward to meeting a faithful Catholic man who is not just religious but genuinely loves Jesus and raising a family together if it is God's will.
59, Ann Arbor, MIDevout Catholic - if you use phrases like "er, yes it's not in the Catechism, but it's in the "spirit" of Vatican II" we prolly wouldn't get along. Starting to get a little gray, but I told my hair that was o.k. as long as they all stayed put just where they were, and seems like they are all o.k. with that. I noted I don't eat out often, but I'd like to, it's one of the reasons for signing up here. I've been told by some people that I have a good sense of humor. Exercise often, typically during lunchtime at work when I can. Im in pretty good shape, most exercise is aerobic (elliptical , bike, etc). I like (good) beer, and I do drink, but typically limit my drinking to weekends/holidays/vacations. I have dabbled in Catholic apologetics, both on-line and elsewhere, and have learned quite a bit of doctrine/Catholic history through my study. Favorite EWTN show is The Journey Home. I attend a charismatic parish but being charismatic (or not) is not a big concern. I am a Catholic that is charismatic, not the other way around, and its not essential by any means. I believe the doctrine of papal infallibility would not be so strictly defined, but would extend to *all* matters a pope teaches on (including all his Super Bowl picks) , if all popes were Polish. My favorite saint is St. Bubba, who is the patron saint of Lost Fumbles. I have a pretty good job, also I have a mentally ill brother who I kind of look after he lives at a group home but I handle his finances, look after some of his needs, etc, - so moving out of SE Mich is just not going to happen. I have a number of family members in the area who wouldnt want me to leave either. However, I have no problem with driving 2-3 hours to see someone/take them out to dinner/etc if it looks like it would be fun.. Dunno where signing on to this site is going to lead to, but just going out with friends (as much as I like them) is getting a little old. Im a college football fan and Saturdays this coming fall you will find me at Ann Arbors main cathedral, Michigan Stadium. I realize this is a kind of stream-of-consciousness information dump, and if you are an English teacher you are probably really appalled right now, but Im a computer geek, for crying out loud, you should be happy I can write at all. One last thing, I used to have to wear a tie every day at work, but its strictly jeans/casual now, and I love it. Im pretty casual.
37, Flushing, MIBorn and raised Catholic in the mitten state! I love being Catholic, and I love the richness and depth of the faith. I'm in the midst of planning and leading retreats for youth on a traveling ministry team similar to the National Evangelization Team. My interests can be described as meat and potatoes.... with a little parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. If you know the reference, you get bonus points.. I'm kind of a guy's guy who can work on cars, shoot guns, talk rock and roll trivia, play guitar, but turn around and talk about what's happening in the Church, saints, or your latest endeavor in arts and crafts.
38, Ypsilanti, MII am a 38 year old never married, devout Catholic. I enjoy going to new restaurants and movies.I also enjoyed biking and hiking in my free time, and occasionally miniature golf game is fun also. My mom and Dad have been the most influential in my life and spiritual upbringing.
46, Jackson, MIEnjoy laughing cooking and lounging. Searching for Mr. Fabulous who might hunt, fish, kayake, camp, read, and talk somewhere between fairly continuous and a lot. That man who can read between the lines, does not take life too serious, is disciplined to meet goals, helps others, humble, and makes the right choice even when no one is looking.
27, Ypsilanti, MIWell, there are so many thins to say I have no idea where to start. I believe that God has granted me the gift of Creativity so I'm always planing something and having ideas. I am very passionate about Drama, using my gifts and abilities to bring the message of the Gospels to life and evangelize. I have not been successful in finishing some of the things I want to present, but I am confident I am on God's path. I look forward to mission. There is just something about it, even when you have to wake up early and are exhausted. Among the things I have learned, the one that stands out the most is that one can't outgive God. I also have been truly blessed in the way my parents have brought me up. They are the most influential people in my life. Their faithfulness and trust in God never ceases to amaze me, and their love for others and how much they help. I enjoy reading and writing plays, or skits. I love to play board games. Most of the time I enjoy hanging out with small groups, not more than 6 people.

I have been busy making home improvements I have two children, Alana who just graduated from Albion College and is about to student teach, and Patrick who is an engineer and got selected to be an A-10 fighter pilot. My spouse of over 25 years went to heaven on Sept 4, 2013. I have many good friends. I like entertaining. I cantor masses occasionally. I'm considering reentering the work force in the private sector of teaching, but retired after 31 years in the public schools This past year I taught for friends occasionally. In my spare time I like to travel and I do some art. I hope to find someone who is kind, fun, and loves to travel, go to festivals, etc. Physical appearance is a factor only due to the fact that there usually needs to be a mutual attraction.
32, Lansing, MIMe --> I love Jesus, my big family, athletics (mostly basketball and football), and being outdoors (when it's warm;) I am competitive, intellectual, serious about my faith, laid back in my free time, and silly with my friends. I enjoy daily mass, praying The Office, reading anything by Erasmo Leiva-Merikakis, being a foodie, and traveling. What I'm looking for --> A man of God who is driven, outgoing, funny, enjoys athletics (watching and playing), and can hang with me in a game of H-O-R-S-E :)
36, Ann Arbor, MIFirst I should say that I'm really grateful for my Faith. I've grown deeper every year with every group of friends since high school. And it never gets old and dry! I'm definitely only interested in meeting someone with the same Christian morals and values, so I'm happy for a site like this! I'm lucky to be the youngest in my family of 6, most of whom really helped form me in the Faith. I've had really good influences from my siblings growing up, and I got to watch their lives unfold years ahead of mine. I've formed really deep relationships with some of them; I really appreciate deep relationships! My career is in nutrition, natural health, and chiropractic. I have a lot of passion for the whole topic, and I'm always interested in food! I like figuring out how to create interesting dishes. I especially like making healthy desserts that taste like unhealthy desserts! Great food is always fun, and healthy food makes people happy :):) I love to play! Indoors, outdoors, whatever (although I have my limits when it's below freezing! My newest hobby is volleyball. I love all kinds of things: hiking, mountain biking, college football, making kombucha tea, watching fireworks, camping....
26, Ann Arbor, MII'm a woman who's main objective in life is to become a woman after God's own heart. I don't always live up to this objective, but I'm thankful for the mercy of God. He is faithful. I'm looking for someone who's heart is also aligned with this pursuit. Someone who wants climb the mountain of the Lord hand in hand with me. I'm a grad student at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit finishing my Masters in Theology with a concentration in Scripture. I'm in Michigan now, but I'm likely to move back to the KC area when I finish my degree(although I'm open to living anywhere God takes me). I love to praise the Lord through music and sing in multiple worship teams. I just learned the guitar this summer and that has been a great addition. I'm interested in theology, music, literature, movies, charismatic prayer, dry wine, and black coffee. My personality is fairly balanced - I have a witty, dry sense of humor and can appreciate sarcasm, but corny humor is a part of my vocabulary as well. I love swing dancing and going out with friends as well as staying in with tea and a good book with pleasant music and a crackling fire. All good things.
