I am what I like to call an original single, I have never been married and I have no children. Family is very important to me as I am an aunt to six nieces and nephews and that has played a part in my choice of where I live. I am happy being a family of one, but I wonder does God have more for me? That is why I am on this site. My faith is very important to me especially as a convert to Catholicism and the struggles both personally and spiritually that brought me home. I grew up in the Evangelical Covenant Church, a denomination that broke away from the Lutheran Church as they had not seperated themselves far enough away from the Catholic church. Now, I have found myself home in The Church...doesn't God have a wonderful way of showing us the truth! :-) I am so blessed to live where I do...the quality of life is wonderful. How many people live where they can take mini vacations during a busy week? After work in the summer I can go out to the beach for a swim or in the winter take a drive of less than an hour and go downhill skiing or stop on my way home from work for some cross country skiing. God's creations are so beautiful and ment to be enjoyed. That is why I live on a nature preserve where I am able to see the handi-work of God. As a single woman in my mid 40s, I have a job that I enjoy and am financially solid as a home owner with my mortgage being my only debt. Wow, this reads more like a resume and a lot less than an introduction to who I am and what I hope to find on this site... I have a hard time promoting myself. I love life, really have no complaints about being a single, but do wonder if God might have a other plans for me....Could marriage be in my future? Only God knows! Obviously I want to become friends first! I love to travel, a weekend to New York or DC, a day trip to Chicago, a week to England, a long weekend cruise...all of these I've done alone, but would enjoy someone to go with me on my next adventures. Care to see if 2012 might be the year that God shows both of us that we are not ment to be single?

I have many sides, you would need to get to know me. I am not yet all that I intend to, but I am learning that as life goes on I can still work toward change. It is going to be a bumpy ride, but if you are will to head out on it, all things a possible.

Prayer is a part of my daily life and I attend mass weekly. My favorite prayer is the Cardinal Newman prayer because it is my daily reminder to place my trust in Christ. I enjoy kyaking, cooking, swimming, and reading.

I would like to meet a family focused woman to grow in family, faith and a prosperous future. My strengths: confidence, ability to communicate and to understand. I have a 10 year old daughter. I am actively in her life. I'm not a perfect Catholic by any means. I am drawn to my faith for its strong sense of community, family and structure.

I care a lot about faith and reason and I'm working on a degree in Theology, to deepen my understanding of the Faith. I love my grandkids and want to be near them, at least for part of the year. I look forward to research and writing, and to reading widely in the Church's theological tradition. My mother and dad had an enormous influence on me, in all sorts of ways, and they were deeply committed to truth and fairness, though my dad's faith was deeper. My sister is a close confidante. We have long phone conversations, about family, God, ideas, life in general. My leisure activities include watching old movies on DVD or Cable or Web, having a nice restaurant meal (though it's awfully lonely eating alone and I never go out to a restaurant without family or a friend along), listening to good music, including opera, and reading non-fiction. I ride my bike in the warm months and swim in my municipal swimming pool in the fall and winter and early spring.

I am from Holland, MICHIGAN. I am content as a single person, but I am open to starting something with the right girl--I am not in any hurry, and you shouldn't be either. I've been around the world, I have seen a lot of things. Maybe I have been in love a time or two, I cannot tell you what it really is I can only tell you what it feels like. Please don't refer to me as Dr. Anything. My name is Chris, Christopher, Christian, or Christiano. I am not perfect and yes I do have a past. I am not married, but I was for a little over a year. I went to Central Michigan and Thomas Cooley Law School, but the best education I received was at Grand Rapids Community College, in Ireland, and most importantly at Church. I am Catholic for life and will never change my mind ever again. I don't believe in evolution, you could never convince me that I am in any way related to an Ape. Adam was the first man, and it is also my Grandpa's first name. I believe in having a good time, and I have no problem with having a drink or two, but if you ever come home with me (especially if you've had too many) plan on staying on the couch alone. Family is very important and it is important that any girl that I am in a relationship respects herself and me. I believe in Chivalry and I also believe that sort of thing applies in a different way for how a lady treats a man. I don't have much money, but I am generous with what little I have. World View: God, Family, Work; in that order. I'm the opposite of moderate, polished and impartial to the politics, articulate but will still grab a jerk by the collar quick. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God" "A working class hero is something to be" "Tell me what you need, and I'll give you all that I can." "As you travel through life, be where you are. Otherwise you will miss most of your life." "So let the wind blow ya, across a big floor, But there's no one around who can tell us what we're here for Funny in a certain light, how we all look the same And there's no one in life you can remember ever stood, for you, so "If it's just that you're weak, can we talk about it?"

I am German and will be celebrating my 30 year anniversary of living in West Michigan in February of this year. What better reason to get back into the dating scene! Scary thought but having been divorced for 6 years, I am ready and excited to see what God has in store for me. My catholic faith is very important to me and will be just as important in any forth coming relationship. I am active in my church, enjoy singing in the choir and attend monthly book club/bible study group meetings. In the future I am hoping to be able to be more involved in mission work as well. I have three grown children and an one year old ever so sweet and beautiful (of course) granddaughter, I love to spend time with and teach German to. Other than that, my recently adopted rescue dog Theo and working full time as a medical coder keep me on a fairly busy schedule. In my spare time I like to stay active with walks on the beach, hikes in the dunes and trails, and I just joined a gym again. I enjoy a healthy lifestyle but the occasional burger and fries will do just fine;) A definite must on my wish list is to travel more as there is so much to see in this world and so many wonderful and interesting people to meet! My German roots run deep which is not only reflected in my work ethic but also in my love for cooking and entertaining. Friends and family often request my authentic German potato salad. Since there is a lot more to me than just walking on the beach and German potato salad, it would be nice to share some of that in further conversations.

Several years ago, I found myself yet again doing something I thought I would never do. Within 24 hours of my breakup being official, I hopped on a plane and flew halfway around the world so I could travel throughout Australia, alone. In two weeks it was one of the most adventurous, exciting and life-changing experiences of my life, finding God and myself. With a career and the normal responsibilities in life, I still make large and small life experiences a priority and their best when shared. Shared with the right person, that is.
