I am an affable guy (someone at my university wrote a paper on me as the personification of friendliness). I am an ardent optimist. I am faithful, hopeful, and charitable (though I have had moments of doubt, fear, and sinful selfishness). I am in love with God, his children, and myself (hey, if God loves me, how can I argue with that?). I am a writer (currently working on picture books and a middle grade novel) and a children's librarian at the Ferndale Public Library (I love books and kids!). I have much to do in life (and its about time I got to work on Gods great works for me). I am a sinner, seeking to be a saint (and have a lot of work to do before I'm done). But before I go here is a gift from me to you it is a prayer I wrote when I was in France on the train near Lourdes it has been a gift from God to me and I hope you will receive it with an open heart and a thankfulness for the works that God has wrought through men (even ones as lowly and poor as I): Prayer to the Most Holy Queen of the Rosary -By Joseph M. O Most Holy Queen of the Rosary I come before thee and pray Most Holy Mary, Vessel of the Most High, I cry out to you with a repentant heart To pray for me, a sinner And intercede with the Most Holy Trinity, For the salvation of my soul. I seek thy good council, O Holy Seat of Wisdom, In my search to understand and follow Gods Will As thou hast done in thy own holy life. Strengthen, guide, and inspire me in the sacred virtues That thou, O Mother Most Admirable, Hast so perfectly fulfilled in thy most chaste life. O Virgin Most Faithful, Mother of Hope, and Queen of Charity, Share with me the fruits of thy labor: True faith in the Most High, Pure hope in the salvation of souls, And merciful charity for all. Immaculate Heart of Mary, Illuminate my heart and my soul, my thoughts and my deeds, Make a refuge for me from the darkness of sin And conduct me by thy most luminous love to the Lord, my God. O Most Mystical Rose, I pray That I may never stop seeking the truth of thy mysteries: Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious. O Most Holy Cause of Our Joy, Grant that I may in contemplation of thou and thy Rosary Devote myself with all my heart And all my soul in prayer for thy intercession With my Lord and thy son, Jesus Christ. -Amen

Hi there!! Thanks for visitng my profile!!! I can't believe it's actually the holiday season!! If you're looking for a kind and down to earth woman, you've come to the right place!!! :) I'm outgoing (most of the time). I'm a woman you can take to a party or dinner with your family and/or friends, and I can be social, even when you're not by my side! I enjoy listening to and telling a good story. Some quiet time to rejuvenate is always good too!! I'm a loving, nurturing woman and mother - I have 2 teenage daughters who are 16 & 18. Family time is a lot of fun, but with teen jobs, friends, and one now in college, etc., I find myself more available to explore companionship with someone special. I work in Human Resources in the automotive industry, and I'm grateful for my job, but my passion is family & friends!!! I'm involved in my parish as a Sacristan and Religious Ed teacher to 7th graders. I also have led a parish and area singles group for the past 4 years - we do social, spiritual, & service activities. I enjoy time with family & friends, walks, nature hikes, bicycling, euchre, home projects/crafts, movies, plays, dinners in and out, kayaking, and a nice conversation, and what's missing is a companion to share life's joys with!! I am not materialistic and believe that the best things in life are free!! Remember -- today is a gift and that's why they call it the present! Would love to hear from you!!

Hi, my name is Dave and I suppose this is where I tell you a little bit about myself. I have a voracious appetite for knowledge, whether it comes from books, traveling, or in this case meeting and interacting with new people. My faith is extremely important to me and has always been an important part of my family and culture. My interests are varied and include writing, travel, history, film, music, running, and cooking among many other things. I currently work as a document specialist at Quicken Loans. I enjoy my work, but hope to one day pursue a career in writing. I currently write jokes for a humor website that I won't shamlessly plug here. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I'm always up for a good time and I don't take myself too seriously. However, I do take my faith seriously, but at the same time, one of the great things about being Catholic is that our religion has a definite fun side. Whether it's a celebration of a saint's day or a lenten fish fry, we Catholics know how to have a good time! On a related note, I also hope to become a member of the Knights of Columbus in the near future. I plan to continue working towards my spiritual, professional, and personal goals and I would love to share the experience with someone. As I am an aspiring writer, I will probably change this about me section quite often. Every time I read it I find something that requires revision.

I am a very positive, caring, confident, sincere person who has spent most of the last ten years devoted to bringing up my four beautiful children on my own. I am very proud of each and every one of them. Two of which have already graduated from college and have both found very successful jobs. I have another that has graduated from Grand Valley and working and also going for her MBA and I just moved my youngest to college in the Fall. So needless to say, I have been pretty busy but finding more time for myself and thought it might be a good time to meet a positive, caring person like myself. My family is very important to me. I have learned not to sweat the small things.Friends play a big role in my life and enjoy spending time with them.I am thinking about joining but in the meantime have been found to do plenty of fishing.

Thanks for viewing my profile. In brief, I am accomplished & happy in my daily life except for one thing - relationship. I've enjoyed long-term relationships in the past & I'm ready for a new Beloved. All the healthy basics in place: good physical shape; work I love & a frugal lifestyle. I have a deep spiritual core & intellectual capacity. I can go from Serious to Silly and back again in less than 60 seconds. Fun things to share would be shopping at the Saturday morning farmers' market; slow-dancing in the kitchen to Norah Jones or Adele, attending any Michigan sports event (tho, I am a loyal NE Patriots fan); exploring the UP, Hawaii, Paris, London, Washington, DC, New England, etc. I love to cook - Americana, Mexican, Italian, big breakfasts (bacon!), fish tacos, pizza, big pots of chili, soup or stew, chocolate desserts. Leavin' the grilling to & fire go together! Temperamentally, I tend to take a long-term view, meaning that if there is a worthy cause in my book, I make every effort to make it work & try not to sweat the small stuff along the way. Good luck in your search & I look forward to hearing from you.

I'm still reconfiguring my profile after a long hiatus, so it is still a bit under construction. It's amazing how much can change in a year or so. I'm pretty quiet sometimes, until you get me into a good conversation. At one point I was trying to get into the social work program at SVSU. Since then, I moved downstate and am slowly beginning to attend Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit to eventually be in full-time Catholic Lay Ministry. Probably for adults. Sometimes I still think I would like to work with youth, even though I may be too "reserved" for it. On the other hand, I suppose I have a childlike/adolescent side. I taught 7th grade catechism last year and it was... ahhh... a very mixed experience. Right now I'm having fun rehearsing for a play written by local Catholics. My character is a wise former-seminarian trying to figure out what to do with his life, so it's pretty self-serving. I may get to audition for another local-Catholic play soon, it's great to reactivate that part of my life again. I have had a rough couple of years and going back to school doesn't always agree with me. But I think I have found a path which is much more solid. I still want to show the love of God to the world, even though I try to question everything and not take my beliefs blindly. It can be exciting to share my faith with those who don't follow Jesus, and I have been blessed with so many opportunities which I need to follow up on. I admit, the biggest area I need to improve in my life is my follow-thru. A few years ago I won a five dollar gift-card to Little Caesars for singing in a talent show. Impressive, I know. And I once won $20 for writing a poem from the perspective of a slice of bologna in a refrigerator. Oh, and another $100 for singing, but that was yeeeeaaaarrrs ago. I'm also pretty proud of the time I hung out at a bar with Franc D'Ambrosio, one of the longest running Phantom's of the Opera in the world. I stood up and sang for him in front of everybody, and he paid for everyone's food and drinks. I have made a few memes which some have found amusing, and I have posted those in my pictures as well. :P

I have five wonderful children, 4 daughters and 1 son ranging in age from 11 to 24. Hoping to find a lady that is open to my children, going out to dinner, walks through downtown Plymouth, Northville, Hines Drive, movies, theatre, church, and sharing quality time and conversation with each other. I enjoy running and exercising at local gym. Love to cook...What's your favorite home cooked meal?
  • Emily, 31 from Livonia, MI

Being around family and friends is important to me. I moved back to MI to be close to family and enjoy spending time with them. I am a teacher and truly love what I do. I'm a sports girl, I like playing, watching, or attending, but football is my favorite. Faith is important to me and is something I want to share with my partner and children. I love all animals, but am a cat person (I have 2). I have been taking karate for almost 2 years and try to exercise beyond the class. I am a member of the Westland Area Jaycee. I enjoy the social events the Jaycee's offer and the service work they provide to the community. Growing up my family traveled to historic sites around the United States, which instilled me with both a love of travel and history. I would love to travel more in the US and (finally) to another country. I recently purchase my own home in Livonia and am looking forward to my next chapter.

I have a positive upbeat personality. I am honest, trustworthy and loyal. I enjoy anything outdoors, campfires, a walk in the woods. I like going to festivals and apple orchards. Fall is my favorite time of year! I spend most of my spare time working on my house or in my yard. I have a warm personality and looking for someone with the same. Integrity is important to me.
