Always on the go; looking for new and exciting things; but above all looking for that special person to share all the things I like, and looking forward to sharing all the things she likes. Nothing finer then relaxing in front of a fireplace after a hard day or if it's summertime; having a cold brew on the deck. If your REALLY active (especially like to run or bike), really want to try new things, like being outdoors in the sumertime and especially like to be with a guy that really hates to just "sit around" drop me a line. So in other words; looking for that "spark" that will ignite a GREAT relationship. Profiles with pictures only please. After all, if my picture is "out there" I want yours to be as well. Have a great day!!!

I'am a 60 year old widower, and an active member of my church community. I'am a member of the parish council and actively teach religious education. I was happily married for 33 years, and lost my spouse to cancer a year and a half ago. I have three adult children who are independent and self sufficient. I'am a professional in the health care industry. I enjoy working, but also like to relax, and enjoy life. I like to travel, and try to use my up north home for weekend get aways. I have and extensive musical background, and enjoy attending concerts and plays. I also maintain season tickets for my favorite sport teams. I had fun when I was married, and look to find someone who enjoys life and the opportunities it presents us for enjoyment.

My name is David, you can call me Dave or David, and I have been retired for about 7 years now. I used to work in the state prisons. I live on a small lake with my cat and my doxie, not far from St. Patrick Catholic Church. I enjoy the warmer weather most just because it keeps me so busy fishing, gardening, family gatherings, nights out by the fire pit, working on the house (mostly remodeling) and yard work. I am a pretty good cook (I grew up around the restaurant business). I bake breads, cookies, and really, really good cinnamon rolls (usually with raisins). I ice fish occasionally, but. I'd rather do it from the boat in warm weather. I am pretty easy going and laid back, but when I get going on a project, I usually get going full tilt until I'm done or have to stop. I'll even bring the spotlights out if it get's dark! The two people that have had the most influence on my life of course are my parents. I am from a large family, 2 brothers and five sisters, and I respect my parents' ability to put up with all the "stuff" they had to go through bringing us up, especially the stuff I did. They probably thought I'd never straighten out. Anyway, my father was one of the nicest and friendliest people you could have ever met. He really knew how to relate to, listen to and help people. I also learned much of my cooking skills from him. My mother was more withdrawn and held on to much of her simpler roots from the days of surviving on very little and making the most of what you can with what you've got. Right to the end she thought of nothing but leaving something for all her children. Of course there are many teachers from my school days as a child I will never forget because they were genuine. But there are also a few that did that special something that drew people in to learning even though the subject was difficult. I would not be where I am now if it hadn't been for a concerned clerk when I was in the Army. I hadn't been in Germany very long and was still trying to shake off some of the bugs of my youth and was on the edge of oblivion. One of the company clerks who was getting out soon approached me and struck up a conversation. He asked me if I knew how to type. The funny thing was, I had taken typing in high school. I only got a "D" in it, but that was enough to get me the job to replace him when he left. I ended up being the main clerk until I was discharged "Honorably" from the service. Things only got better after that.

I am passionate about God, Natural Medicine and "Alternative" and Holistic Medicine. I look forward to helping many people during the rest of my lifetime. I am a busy person but will make time for the "right" person. I help with the homeless when they annually come to my church for shelter week during Holy Week. I want to do what God wants me to do, and I want to help others like God does. I want to do His will, and I want to find someone to love with all my heart for the rest of my life. But I would like to spend some time in a warm weather climate during some of the winter weeks or months in Michigan. I enjoy swimming, sailing and boating very much, along with many other things and activities.

Being single is a scary in this day and age. How do you meet someone who has the same va,use and is not hiding behind false social media facade? After being being married almost 40 years I am now a widow. My son and daughter in law and 3 grandchildren are the most important focus of my life. I value my family and friends above all. However, I do miss the opportunity to share things with a significant other. I am a Registered Nurse and still work in a Quality Assurance position. Doing the very best and working hard are important values. The most influential person in my life taught me the importance of being positive and having a sense of humor. My education and background have made me to be liberal in my political leanings. I enjoy gardening, cooking, good wine, interesting conversations, reading, travel , music and books.

Looking forward to retirement very soon and all of the leisure and adventure that goes along with this new phase! Love to travel around Michigan, the US and really would like to vacation to Montreal, PEI and more. Renewed by beautiful scenery; nourished by art and music of all kinds, Traveled to Italy and Scotland and given the chance, I'd do it again! I am passionate about preventing child abuse and domestic abuse. Avid reader: Recent favorites are Nine Boys in a Boat, The People of the Book. A Prayer for Owen Meany tops my all time favs, For "relief" I read light historical mysteries. Dappling (literally) with watercolor painting. So far I am not good, but t's fun. No cats or dogs, though I love golden retrievers. Such sweet dogs and they only shed twice a year: Spring and Fall, :-) Oh seems mportant to mention that I'm financially secure and expect the same in a good match."
