I guess I would describe myself as a typical male who has various interests whether it be going to sporting events, movies,a play working out spending time at my lake home etc. I really do enjoy the outdoors whether it is going for a walk, going fishing, hunting or just relaxing.

I've not done this before and haven't really given this much thought, so will do the best I can. To be truthful, if I realized ahead of time that this was required, I wouldn't be here; however, I've come this far so might as well "step up". I suppose I would start by stating that I was brought up in a Catholic home, went to mass every Sunday and felt a close connection with God in my early years. At some point I fell away and began running my life in what ever way I chose, "self will run riot", but the results of that type of life only leads to pain. Eventually, God got through to me, so now I trust that any plan which He designed for me (whatever that is) has to be better than anything I could have imagined for myself. He knows the future, I do not. He sees through and around the next corner, so I do the best I can to put my life in His care. Sunday Mass (daily when I can), Holy Communion, a weekly Adoration hour, a weekly mens Catholic bible study, and daily prayer are how I seek spiritual fitness and discernment of Gods' will. Personality wise, I am an outdoors type with probably too many interests and activities, but master of none. I'm a bit of a home a body during the week, but like to have something to do outdoors on the weekends.

My family is very important to me and I love being a part of my grandchildren's lives, activities, watching them grow and develop into these wonderful little people. I have a lot of energy and enjoy a variety of activities like golfing, long walks, skiing, dancing, sporting events and travelling. After being widowed for a number of years, I have become quite independent. However, I still enjoy receiving flowers and having doors opened for me. Being around people that have a sense of humor and a positive attitude is important to me. The someone must be honest, kind, have integrity and be able to laugh easily and often. I hope to meet a nice gentleman, who enjoys life and people and to share our lives with each other finding new interests, activities. and joys.

I went through a divorce after 27 years of marriage and I am just now having the courage to go to a Catholic dating site to explore my options. I had a re-birth of my Faith after discovering a Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group. God openned my eyes to an entire new form of Worship. Not many people I meet have any idea of what I'm talking about with how the Holy Spirit works in our lives, nor do some Catholics want to know all facets of our Faith. I consider myself active, fun and adventurous. I'm definitly on a new journey, and I would like to be in God's will every step of it. I work full-time at a great coffee shop, I am a Eucharistic minister at my parish, I have 4 children and 4 grandchildren, I love to dance, entertain, golf(even though I'm out of practice) walk, travel, and much, much, more.

As of late, my passion in life is life itself! This has not always been the case for me, especially since the time of the end of my 28 year marriage. Not wanting or accepting the decision to end our marriage on my ex-wife's behalf, it has been a difficult time. At times, a debilitating set of circumstances! But life as we know it goes on, sometimes without you. Somehow, for me a new and refreshing passion for life evolved. I feel healthier, both mentally and physically, in anticipating what life now has to offer to myself and loved ones! Through all of my personal trials and tribulations, one thing remained ever present and somewhat constant. That is my trust and confidence in my therapist and faith. Admittedly not the most religious of people around, I leaned on my faith in God and belief in my therapists suggestions to carryon. I look back on some of the difficult times and find myself to have grown mentally and spiritually. The closeness with my 2 sons has been both therapeutic and enlightening at a time when it was most needed personally! As for what I do with my leisure time lately , it seems to be divided nicely between immediate family and newly found friends and experiences. Having found myself with leisure time on my hands since my divorce, personal relationships have taken on new importance in my life. Something as simple as conversation with others took on new importance to me. I craved it and anticipated it from those individuals I felt comfortable with! I have the feeling that will continue to grow as will my faith in my higher power. Somewhat conservatively speaking, I see the skies as the limit , when it comes to describing the potential of things in me and my companion's journey.

My major interest is becoming the person God wants me to be . . . much easier said then done but with Jesus all things are new; all things are possible. I left the church as a teenager, dabbled in various faith traditions and eight years ago I returned to the Catholic Church. I am sensitive (not effeminate, nor macho - well, maybe a little macho at times), compassionate, generous, and have my share of defects that I work to improve upon (almost) daily. I am looking for a Catholic woman who is free to marry. I am no saint but my goal is to get to heaven and hopefully find a spouse with that goal and together we will help each other get there. I like multiple types of performance arts; mainly concerts, theatre, and dance; movies, reading, and dining out. Though not a musician, I have played drums and blues harmonica in the past. I like rhythm and blues, jazz, soul, rock - mainly from the 60s and 70s, classical, sacred music, easy listening, Christian folk and rock, bluegrass, and some country. My outdoor activities include cross-country skiing, biking, camping, hiking, paddling, snorkeling, scuba diving. I grew up playing hockey and still have ice skates but havent been using them; same with in-line skating. I like to travel and experience other cultures. In 2013 I traveled to Mexico for two weeks, Israel for 12 days, and closer to home rafted the Grand Canyon and visited family and friends in Texas over Thanksgiving. Not much into spectator sports but on occasion will watch some and will usually enjoy it. Don't know 99% of the players or any of their stats - its just not my thing. On average I have the TV on less than an hour a day. I enjoy activity and solitude about 50/50. Will consider living outside of Minnesota (who wouldn't), outside the US, mission work, and/or traveling extensively. God Bless You and help you realize your dreams!

I am widowed and now interested in dating and a new relationship. I enjoy a close relationship with my family, which includes five sons, and eight grandchildren. I also am blessed to have many close friends in my life. The people who influenced my life most were my maternal grandmother, parents and my husband. All influenced a joy for living. I would describe myself as a fun loving, positive person who has a true sense of adventure and very willing to go, try, see new things.

I am an adventurous man who appreciates my two sister's, their families, and good friends young and old, especially those who share similar Catholic and Christian values. I really enjoy time together with my niece and nephew's and their spouses, and playing with (and learning from) their young boys and girls. My parents instilled in me the importance of family, good friends, and striving for positive change. I am active outdoors; hiking, biking, kayaking, motorcycling, sailing, and downhill and x-country skiing. I look forward to international travel this spring to visit friends in Europe and also explore new places while there. As a photographer I have an interest in unique winter subjects, and I also like the arts especially jazz and world music, and theater! And sometimes life doesn't get any better than an evening sauna (in my basement) with friends, or my cat Rumpus!
