OK. I know this picture is not a very attractive picture but it is the most recent one I have scanned. It was taking on top of the St. Paul Cathedral, located in St. Paul MN, during the roofing renovation. As you can see I’m not afraid of heights. Should I mention I like amusement rides? :o) The company I work for designed the scaffolding. I do have other older photos and will share them if you would like. I am a convert to the Catholic faith. Being a convert at the age of 34 leaves me somewhat in the dust in regards to knowing the faith well. But that is OK because I enjoy studying, reading and learning about the faith. I also have a loving family that has taken me under their wings. They were the ones who helped me open my eyes, in so many ways, to the Catholic faith. Along with Father Altiers twelve part talk on the “Fundamentals of Catholicism”, I have had a really good start on learning, living and loving the Catholic Faith. Converting was a step I did not take lightly. I spent quite sometime looking into and studying the teachings of the Church before I joined. Being Catholic is an all or nothing covenant. That is why all my answers are “yes” to the Church teachings. Once you get past the negative propaganda being slung against the faith and look into why the Church teaches what it does, you understand why it is the way it is. There is NO compromising or bending or picking and choosing what you like about the Faith. I was married, am now divorced and filling out the papers for an annulment. From what I have been told it should not be a problem to get one. If you do contact me I will go into further details about this. I am a positive person. Always looking for the bright side of a person or situation. I would also consider myself independent, intelligent, conservative, laid back, upbeat person who likes to have fun and share smiles. Besides church events and going to adoration I like doing a variety of things. From being outdoors to spending the night out on the town to being lazy on the couch at home. I enjoy playing a variety of different team sports to camping, hiking, bicycling and yes, even yard work. Pretty much anything outside. Participation in team sports such as volleyball and bowling is fun and I try not to take it serious but rather on a fun competitive level. I like watching sports on TV but am finding myself watching less and less TV. On weekends it is fun to go for a drive. When it is time to relax I enjoy sitting by a fire

I am the oldest of 5 children and consider family to be very important in my life. I've owned my own home since 2008 and am currently working on a basement remodel in order to sell my house in the spring and move to a new (to me) house. I love to laugh, watch movies, head up north for a weekend, spend quiet time at home, and spend time with my family and friends. I go to Chicago multiple times a year to visit my sisters and their families. My career and religion guide who I am as a person. I am a K9 officer for a metro-area police department. I always try to act in such a way that my family and friends won't be embarrassed if they see my name on the news. As a Catholic, I try to treat everyone how I would want my relatives and friends to be treated.

Being Catholic is very important to me, I find myself getting closer to God daily. I Love my family very much and value our relationship. Growing up in a large family gave me a great perspective on live. Overall you can say that I am a very laid back person that doesn't get worked up over the little things. For my profession I am an engineer for the railroad and own a building/ real estate development company on the side. My business tends to keep me very occupied but I know when to settle down and take a break but I do love working.

Meeting new people brings joy and opportunity. I am amazed with what I learn from even a brief conversation. I enjoy reading, traveling and learning new things and about new places. My current interest is in genealogy. It has been great fun finding relatives half way across the world. I hope to continue my search and learn as much as I can about my family history. I hope to meet someone with similar interests. I am a semi-retired Registered Nurse. I provide care for a very elderly mother with dementia so also hope to meet someone who has understanding of that responsibility and possibly has similar responsibilities. My mother is close to needing nursing home care so my responsibilities for her will be changing over the next year. I hope to do more traveling to the National Parks in the USA and also to do more traveling in Poland and other Eastern European countries. I volunteer each year at an orphanage in Poland and hope to do more.
  • Alicia, 25 from Woodbury, MN
    25, Woodbury, MN
Hi! Nice to meet you :) My name is Alicia. My faith and my family are two of the most important things to me. I'm the oldest of ten kids and I wouldn't trade the craziness for anything! I am caring, loving, optimistic, and goal driven! I do everything with my whole heart and am always looking on the brighter side of things. I love caring for people and am blessed to have that opportunity everyday working as a therapeutic massage therapist. When I'm not working I'm usually spending time with my family and friends, exploring new places with my sister, or planning the next road trip/adventure. Some things I like to do for fun are biking, hiking/camping, and kayaking! I also enjoy archery, reading, and making a huge mess in the kitchen when I cook. I have a passion for health and wellness. I love reading and learning new things about health and especially nutrition. I love good food! So naturally my favorite part is finding new recipes and trying them out :) Please send me a message if you want to get to know me a bit more, I'm sure I would love to hear from you! :)
  • Katherine, 23 from Northfield, MN
    23, Northfield, MN
Hi! I'm Katherine, I grew up on a century farm. I love science, singing, dancing, fiber arts, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and reading (don't do near enough of that!). I try to love God with all my heart. I am an extremely loyal person. Almost equally Sanguine and Melancholic (yep, it is a weird combination!). I love kids, dogs, and cats-in that order! Take my interview, send a message, love to hear from you!

Creative, passionate, and bookish are words that describe me. I'm adventurous, but I am not one to lead an adventure. I consider myself companion material not Time Lord material. A Watson, not a Sherlock. I enjoy hiking and camping. I am a cast-iron skillet wiz. My Dutch Oven bread is legendary. I am interested in almost everything. From Lord of the Rings, to building with alternative materials, I've delved into it, or wanted to. Topics I could talk about for hours include; superheroes, the Catholicism in Lord of the Rings, building with Cobb, Louis L'Amour, (Okay any book or movie enjoyed or hated.) I'm joining Catholicmatch to meet new people and make friends, and maybe find that special someone along the way.
  • Scott, 54 from Saint Paul, MN

I am passionate about keeping in shape and taking care of myself. I like to read a lot as well. Mostly I am passionate about the Church and strive to be faithful to Christ. I served in the Army for just over seventeen years and it taught me about discipline and responsibility as well as keeping fit. I also am an an affectionate man with a good sense of humor and can be pretty playful at times too.

Thanks for taking the time to view my profile! A bit about me... I am very passionate about the state of our country, and hope one day to be part of the solution. I love to read, and learn about history. Football was the love of my life when I was young, and continues to be my favorite sport, sprinkled in with some hockey. I have a Black Lab named Strider (automatic points if you can tell me where the name comes from!). I love nature and the outdoors, Mostly looking for friends right now, as I have been disabled due to Chronic Lyme Disease for 5 years. I laugh at physical pain (ok, maybe just when in shock!), and see it as weakness leaving the body. I tend toward being even tempered, never too high, or too low. Want to know more, feel free to ask! :)
  • David, 24 from Minneapolis, MN
    24, Minneapolis, MN
Hi I'm David! I'm second out of 15 kids, I'm going to school part time, I go to church once a week and I try to do the same with chapel as well. I enjoy fishing, walks, construction, movies, reading, being with family and friends, and talking with new people. I currently work full-time at Intereum. I can be quiet at first but once I open up, I tend to be very fun and loving. Most my family and friends know that I love to give hugs on a whim but I won't hug if the person doesn't like it. Being 2nd of 15 I have an interesting view point on the world and it tends to clash with some people. Did I mention I can sorta cook? No, well I can make some stir fry. God has blessed me with his love and I like to share it with the world, I just need someone to help me up when I fall.

If you'd like a TL;DR version =), I'm a fairly geeky and funny gal, fresh out of graduate school, still figuring out that whole career thing. I'm a curious type: I love learning. I'm loyal and I love both cats and dogs. I'm introverted, but I'm also a person who feels deeply. I like to think out loud, which may or may not drive you crazy. I like helping others. A few things I love are: -Outdoorsy time, either at the lake, the beach, out on a boat, hiking, or just meandering outside. -Greeting pets first, people second [sorry, folks =)]. -Rainy days that involve fleecy blankets, books, and a nearby open window so I can hear the rain. -Those super cold days when the air is crystal clear. -My solo hangout times. -Time with family and friends, especially hanging out at home. -Books, books, books. -Fresh snow. -Doggie kisses.
