Hello everyone, my name is Darrin. I am here to meet new friends and maybe more if the right chemistry is right. I consider myself a really nice, laid back guy who is easy to get along with. I also consider myself a simple person. I was born and raised catholic. Though i'm probably not the best catholic in the world, i'm definitely not as holy as I should be. Everyday I should try to be better as we all should be. I love watching and or playing sports, hanging out with friends, going out on the town, just whatever to have a good time. I should strive to be like my parents for they are great examples on how marriage, parenting, and how to be good catholics should be.

Hi, my name is Dan. I have lived in Cottage Grove, MN the past 11 years but grew up in northern Wisconsin. I am honest, intelligent, educated, and good natured. I enjoy attending mass, reading, jogging, weight lifting, bicycling, and most sports. Also, I enjoy museums, the zoo, historical sites (especially religious ones), listening to contemporary Christian music, and most of all visiting my relatives. I have never been married.
  • Karen, 56 from Cottage Grove, MN
56, Cottage Grove, MN Divine Providence. I trust God with life's circumstances and leave all in His reliable hands. He in turn trusts me to work with Him and I try my best. Most of the time I get it right....or's a very good thing He has my back either way. Living by the words of a favorite song; "I'm not running, I'm not hiding, I'm not reaching, I'm just resting in the arms of the Great Wide Open" I step into each day living the life Our Lord places before me. Sometimes He serves up steak and lobster, sometimes spinach and kale! I rarely leave the table. Well, occasionally I escape but only to places with hope, love, beauty and laughter within them, where I won't starve, :). I have found my place in this world is in sharing with everyone God crosses my path. When we take the time to touch each others souls, we each live and learn and grow and, hopefully, build each other up to become more loving people. I pray that God wills that in and among all these people will be a man with whom I am meant to share the rest of a lifetime as I do miss having someone in my life who understands without explanation, with whom only the eyes need speak, I don't have to say a word and whose arms I can fall into.

I am no longer on Catholic Match. Good luck in your search. I was married to the love of my life for 39 years when he died suddenly in a motorcycle accident. When these things happen you learn to live each moment like it is your last and to love with your whole heart. It's been 5 years now and time to move into the next phase of my life. I retired completely in 2009 and have not regretted it for one day since. I'm a little on the shy side until I get to know you. I'm very open and honest and have a great sense of humor. I enjoy going to the theatre, walking in the park, going to the zoo or just being at home. I'm comfortable dressing up but also comfortable in jeans. In the last couple of years I've discovered cruising and enjoy it allot. The next cruise I think I want to take will be up the East coast, preferable in the Fall when all the colors are changing, and see that part of the US. I love to travel and see different places in the world. I just returned from a 2 week trip to Eastern Europe (8-12) and was amazed by all the changes since the Wall came down. I spent 2 months in the winter of 2011 in Arizona and 2 months this past winter in Florida but I haven't decided which I like better. I love Minnesota, 3 seasons of the year, and I know I like being out of the cold weather in the winter. I enjoy golf even if I'm not the best and my most favorite place in the world is Hawaii. God is an important part of my life and I'm grateful for the family I have been blessed with.

I come from a large Irish Catholic family born and raised in the inner city. Family is important to me both my immediate and parish. I have a daughter still at home full time. Now with her getting older it gives me the opportunity to test the dating (?) scene again. I like to think of myself as a easy going kind of person who would prefer to look at things being half full rather then half empty..... I would much rather be outdoors enjoying nature then being stuck indoors. I enjoy getting together with family and friends and BBQ and having bon fires.

I'm friendly with a big heart. I like open-minded people who aren't quick to judge others. A person who is compassionate and has a great sense of humor is right up my alley. I would like to travel and can be very spontaneous. Christian life is very important to me.

I'm shy at first but I do warm up quick. I grew up in the country and I'm not a fan of the cities. But I deal with it. I love to hunt/fish, go mudding and just be outside. I do like to go out on the town once in a while and change it up but not to much. Other than that, Im a workaholic, and love to have some fun.

    1. I followed my heart. Life is short and everyone has something that they are passionate about. Be able to say that you didn't let fear hold you back. The cost of not following your heart is spending the rest of your life wishing you had. 2. I believe in myself. Even if you fail, it doesn't mean you will continue to fail. Be able to say you believed in yourself and kept trying. Everything that is successful will begin with you believing in yourself. 3. I live by high standards. Never apologize for high standards; people who really want to be in your life will rise up to meet them. The quality of who you are is reflected in the standards you set for yourself; position yourself to live up to the rise of your own expectations. 4. I treat others the way I want to be treated. Talk to people the way you want to be spoken to; respect people as you wish to be respected. Your status, religion, race, political views, or culture don't matter--being a good person really is as simple as following the golden rule and treating others as you would like them to treat you. 5. I understand how precious time is. Be able to say that you didn't waste time. Remember that time is free but priceless, that you can't own it but you can spend it--wisely or unwisely. Treat time as a resource to be invested carefully.
