  • JOhn, 60 from Hastings, MN
    60, Hastings, MN
I am an easy going kind of person. I am level headed, and don't let things bother me. Life is to short to let something get you down. When I first meet someone I am some what reserved, but once I have gotten to know someone I tend to be much more open. A good relationships takes time. I think the best relationships start out as friends and build from there, every loving relationship needs a base to build from. I enjoy traveling(mostly in the USA so far), golfing, hiking and going for walks, playing cards, reading a good book, going to the theater or concerts, Kona coffee, and trying new things. I don't want to spend my life waiting for love at first sight, although I know it can happen it is rare. I would rather take my time and get to know you, than hope for something that may never come. I like to think of myself as eclectic, not limiting myself to only what I know or have done already.

I am often described by others as the "man of many words." Although I am a little shy when meeting new people, once I get to know them, I become more talkative. Growing up on a dairy farm has instilled in me a strong work ethic and has taught me the reward of hard work. The farm has also been a good teaching aid for my faith as it has enabled me to witness the cycle of life and how God is present in everything I do. Ultimately, it is God who determines the outcome of every situation. Currently, I am employed full-time as a machinist. However, I still enjoy spending my free time helping out at the farm, whether it be driving tractor or doing the daily chores. My best companion is our farm dog, Gus, who is a Border Collie and always puts a smile on my face when I see him. I am seeking someone who's faith is as important to them as it is to me. Also, someone who enjoys the outdoors and being around animals. Other than that, I am an easy going person who looks forward to experiencing new opportunities.
  • Barbara, 46 from Saint Paul, MN
    46, Saint Paul, MN
I enjoy simple things that bring depth and richness to life: spending time with friends and family; helping the people God has placed in my life; learning and sharing what I've learned with others. I also love to laugh, dance, travel, and take photos.
  • April, 35 from Elk River, MN
    35, Elk River, MN
I've been blessed to have been raised in a family in which faith was of the greatest importance. I love being Catholic and learning more about my faith and how to better live it out in daily life. There are a lot of things I would love to learn, or wish I had more time to spend doing. The majority of my free time is spent with family and friends. In general, I just like to enjoy life, however that comes about. There is so much beauty in this world, and so many things to experience! I'm basically a friendly, pretty easy-going person. I can be a bit reserved in certain situations. A friend described me as a quiet extrovert, and I think that is a fair assessment. I thrive being around people, but I'm not that outgoing. Ultimately, I want to live so as to fulfill God's will in my life. I'm seeking someone who will help me to be a better person, and with whom we can journey towards salvation.

  • John, 31 from Rochester, MN
    31, Rochester, MN
I would describe myself as creative, patient, and little bit shy. I'm more introverted, but I like to socialize around coffee. Lately I've been working on creating my bucket list. I recently lost an uncle and aunt at far too young an age, and because of that experience I've really been striving to live life in the moment. Number 3 on the list is to write a book. Reading is one of my passions, and I want to pursue a childhood dream. Growing up I wanted to illustrate books, but my talent peaked. I haven't written creatively for since junior high, but what the heck. Carpe Diem right?! Life however sometimes life gets in way. I work at a hospital as a supervisor in facilities. Sometimes I have to work long days. I have employees that work 24/7/365, so I occasionally come in early, and other days I stay late. On top of that I'm finishing my bachelor's degree by taking classes on nights. Sometimes life doesn't leave much time for writing. That said I always make time for fun, and the people that are important to me. I love playing board games of all types. You can guess that I like playing scrabble. Other things on the bucket list are running a marathon, seeing the northern lights, and travelling to places in my favorite movies. I'm a huge movie fan. I thought it would fun to travel to the spot where the bench scene was filmed in Forest Gump (My favorite movie). If going to movies, reading my stories, and maybe going to Chippewa Square in Savannah, Georgia sounds fun let me know. I look forward to chatting over coffee.

  • Glenn, 65 from Minneapolis, MN
    65, Minneapolis, MN
I believe you cannot really tell who you are until someone else tells you. But I consider myself an interesting person to be with. I have a good heart, good listener with great sense of humor. I have learned to let go and let God.. I take things as they come. I like to have fun on my free time. Love going to the beaches, walking or sitting down by the seaside, watching the sun rise and set. I also like to try something new, or sometimes just staying home relaxing, reading, watching sports, TV or movies.. I am happy with my job and life, except not having a companion to share it with.. I am ready to fall in love again and looking for someone to share life with. If you would like to learn more about me, send me a line or two on how to reach you and I will surely get back to you.
  • Alexis, 70 from Bloomington, MN
    70, Bloomington, MN
Having been retired for a period of time I found I had too much time on my hands. Working with people and being around them came easy for me. So I became a volunteer. I work with those who live with Alzheimer's disease. I call them my special people and love spending time with them. Mostly I enjoy reading to them. They seem to enjoy children's story books. I become a greatly involved with each story I read to them then try to get them to participate in interacting with me about each story. In treating them as adults rather than speaking down to them as if were children gets an ineligible response from them. They appreciate total respect. I give them the respect they deserve. I also volunteer at my church on Sundays as they need me at the Welcome Desk. Past experiences make you stronger as you learn from them. I do not judge anyone - and only know that the past should stay in the past. Loving someone is appreciating them for what they can bring into a healthy relationship. Having a healthy relationship is of utmost importance to me. Getting to know someone takes time. It is with time that a good relationship it built.

My faith is important. Has helped me through some tough times. A very private thing. I don't push it on people. Am not holier than thou. My parents were a big influence. My children and Grandchildren are important plus my siblings and friends. I enjoy learning more. I like going out to the best of luck to all. Movies, plays. Walks and exercise. Belong to a gym. Enjoying retirement. Lost my husband about 2 years ago. Was sudden and a big adjustment. I like to be positive, kind to others, have fun and enjoy life one day at a time.
