Im Aaron, I am quite different than what you are used to. I can't really fit into any particular category or box other than my own. I have at times been labeled as "eccentric" or "quirky"; I like to think that "i'm not weird--I just have more fun than most people!" (I'm an ESTP). In a nutshell i'm a salt of the earth type w/ a big heart that works and plays in the dirt but has a knack for philosophy, politics and wisdom. By far my favorite thing to do is to listen and learn--from just about everything. Trust and conversation comes easy to me and stems from a love of people and their stories.
I am a nerd at heart but live and work in the outdoors. I grew up with my feet in the woods and my head in books (it's a useful combination). I will talk with anyone, it's how I learn and connect. I like to talk about the tough stuff, its often the best place to start to get to know me and more often than not--yourself!
In the brief 25 years that I have been around I have come to appreciate that there are two and only two things that motivate anyone to do anything: love and fear. You put love into anything you do and watch how it grows in you, and you in it. Like looking in a mirror--when you move towards the image, it moves towards you; Love, God, and Truth all move in the same way. To appreciate yet never fully understand the utter beauty of infinity (ever tried putting two mirrors in front of each other?) is what makes life a grand adventure, but that adventure can be hell if fear dominates it. Never be afraid of the image that is looking back at you in the mirror--because remember, we are made in His image. This is a truth that was shared with me through grace, a few answered prayers, mistakes (life lessons), and a wonderful family. Having said all of that, I try and bring that perspective into play when i am meeting someone new.
I grew up with chiropractors for parents, it made for an interesting but well adjusted childhood to say the least (pun happily intended!) but their attitude has never been far from my own. That attitude can be summed up like this: "take the body as it is, and help get it to where they want to go". This is how I look at life and love alike. I want to get to Heaven and more than that--help you get there too! By practicing the presence of God and (literally) living the Catholic faith, I hope to accomplish this as well as create a mountain of true treasures-- the ones we keep close to the heart, better known as memories.
