  • Sean, 26 from Duluth, MN
    26, Duluth, MN
Hey there, my name is Sean and I'm currently working as a Supply Chain Analyst for a pharmaceutical services corporation. I enjoy my work, it's engaging and brings new challenges and learning experiences daily. Outside of work I tend to enjoy the outdoors. I love hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and generally exploring the wilderness. I picked up archery several years back and have been shooting regularly since. Other than that I enjoy watching soccer, reading, watching cheesy movies, and general hanging out with friends. It's hard to sum oneself up in a short essay and this is only a start. If you'd like to know any more please don't hesitate to ask.

I am friendly and outgoing, with an enthusiasm and empathy for other people's stories, perspective, joys, and struggles. I regard myself as intelligent and quick witted. As much as I enjoy human interaction, I also need and enjoy "down time" to relax and recharge, either alone or with a trusted friend. I enjoy music, sports, movies, baking, and gardening. I am a modestly talented but enthusiastic musician with my church choir and I am a hockey mom of a goalie, so those are two ways in which I spend my time. In the summer, I enjoy being on the water and always enjoy the view. I also regard myself as hard working and take great pride in my lakehome, but as I get older, household projects are of less importance to me and it's more about maintenance, with the right handyman:). I am grateful for experiencing job satisfaction in the same field for 26 years. In the future, I would hope to take up a bit more travelling, with a good companion.

I usually think before I act. I believe deeply in personal freedom and individual responsibility. I believe that actions have consequences, and people need to accept the consequences of their actions if they are to learn from their mistakes and grow. I believe that compassion plays a role to play in my life encouraging people to take care of themselves. In an emergency, of course, you're there to offer help and if someone has helped you out in the past there is no question about your loyalty. Whenever it is realistic, I am convinced people should take care of themselves. I devote adequate time to taking care of my own needs and wants because it makes me happy with my life and because that's what I truly believe every person should do. I cherish personal independence for myself and others. I like the way things are in my life. The ideas and beliefs that have served me well serve me still. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," and as far as I'm concerned, "It ain't broke." I've held on to these beliefs for a long time, and held on earnestly. Novelty and intellectual experiments and "the next new idea" hold some interest for me. I like the practical, down-to-earth ways of thinking and believing and living my life that have served me so well. We're born with the capacity to feel deeply, so it's as natural as breathing to experience a range of emotions. Fear and joy and sadness, anger and shame and disgust lie somewhere within each of us. I believe I am a person who is emotionally steady. Some days I want to hang out by myself, not answer the phone ,and make the world go away. The next day I am oot and aboot. It may be the phases of the moon, or something I ate; some days are just like that and then there are the days where everything goes right - which are to be cherished as they are few and far between. To be with others or to be alone are equally good. Sometimes I am more comfortable alone or with one or two friends, while other times I like the crowd at a parade or a fair. By the way, I don't do Twitter any more and if you find me on Facebook, it's not me - I've never done Facebook. LDR is a place I can drive to and be able to do 5 dates in a week for at least 4 weeks in a row.

  • Nellie, 26 from Chisholm, MN

Howdy! I'm a teacher who loves teaching. I'm very passionate about helping others and summer break can be a tad too long in my opinion. I'm also passionate about my hobbies, I love to be artistic, usually with painting. My faith and family have helped formed me to be the person I am, I don't know where or who I'd be without those two things.

Just being an honest person getting by in this crazy unpredictable world. Keeping the needs of others in mind while I go on with the ups and downs of life. I look forward to finding the right person to share this life with. I think going to mass at a young age helped get me going on the right path in life, it's being a struggle sometimes and iv made my Share of mistakes, but my trust in the Lord brings me back to the direction he wants me to take. I enjoy every kind of outdoor activity, it just feels so good to soak up the sunshine and the outdoors. I think duck hunting is my favorite. Just love being in a swamp somewhere listening to the night critters and waiting for sunrise. Its the best. Oh and a movie now and then is kool to.
