43, Webb City, MOPerhaps out of stupid optimism, I will give this a little longer. I am going to painfully honest. There is no sense in being otherwise. I am a regular, average, ordinary Catholic. I am not a theologian or an apologist. I go to Mass on Sundays and Holy Days and often attend Adoration. I pray. I often went to daily Mass when I was working evening shift, and probably would again if I could. That being said, I'm not a Super Catholic. I'm just an average guy who cannot quote from the Catechism (in English OR Latin), and does good to remember where a few Bible passages are located. I am a very bright person, although you may not agree. My sense of humor is very dry and often dark. I tend to lean just left of center politically. I only have two Bachelor's degrees, but am working on a Master's as time/finances allow. I got the BSes later in life because I did not have the resources to do otherwise. I would love to get a doctorate someday if I could swing it, but that's a long shot. Physically, I am short and overweight. I have battled my weight all of my adult life. I do not have a "5-year Life Plan" or any such nonsense. I have goals, but I understand they may not be realizable. They traditionally have not been. I am incredibly loyal and strive to be kind most of the time. And yes, I can get grumpy. That is about as honest as I can be. I'd rather you not be surprised. Most of you will not be interested at all. I can't blame you. Luckily, I am not after legions of fangirls; I am only seeking the one I am supposed to be with-- if she even exists at all.
57, Springfield, MOThis is hard to do well here it goes I attend mass about every Saturday just moved down to Joplin ( to help out my folks) I love to do about anything outdoors in the summer I'm out as much as I can either playing golf or what ever I can do. I act younger than my age laugh alot at myself sometimes but I can be the serious type when I have to be. I am involved in the church a lot with Knights of Columbus, men's club and volunteering to usher and what else comes up it seems. I am looking for the right woman to spend the rest of my life with she has to be funny, likes the outdoors, likes to walk or ride a bike but most important is just be herself and have confidence in herself. I don't want to play games just to old to do that I'm just waiting on the right woman to take the leap with.
23, Brookline, MOHi! My name is Monica. I come from a loving and caring family. I have two older brothers and I couldn't have asked for better brothers. I love my family a lot, they are very important to me. God and my Catholic faith are a big part of my life. I am pro-life and pro-traditional marriage. I enjoy going to mass and my favorite mass is the Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. Everything is so beautiful and everyone is happy! I was home-schooled through 6th grade and then attended Catholic schools from 7th-12th grade. I am a senior in college and majoring in general business. I am going to college because one of my personal goals is to be well-educated and receive a bachelor's degree. I would also like to open my own bake shop someday and a general business degree will give me a good foundation for running my business. I also thought it would be wise to be able to support myself until I find a husband. :) My biggest dream, however, is to be a kind, loving wife and stay-at-home mom and take care of my family! Some of my favorite things to do are reading, drawing, crocheting, and listening to music. I love baking cookies! It is a fun thing to do when I find the time. My all time favorite hobby is playing the piano!! I also enjoy walks outside. That's one thing I really like about college; I get to walk outside on campus and enjoy the fresh air. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Everything is decorated and Christmas songs are playing; I enjoy looking at all the Christmas lights, it makes everything seem more cheerful and bright. And it's not Christmas without a tree! I am a quiet person. I like to listen to others and if they need advice, I try to give them some if I can. I also appreciate advice if I need help. I love animals, mostly cats and dogs, and I will pull over and rescue puppies that might be running down the road. :) I am open to wherever God leads my life, whether that be married life, single life, or a religious vocation. Have a great day!
56, Springfield, MOI spent many years of my life considering the possibility of ordained priesthood. As a teenager, I saw firsthand the good that priests can do in the lives of so many. I was very attracted to priesthood and thought that the life might be for me. I began the discernment process myself in my late teens and eventually went to the seminary at age 20. I would eventually spend a total of 7 1/2 yrs in the seminary, coming within a year of ordination. I treasure the education , experiences, and formation that seminary offered and the relationships that were formed. Most of those seminary years for me were when I was a young man. I decided not to go on for ordination when I was 29. I worked a few different jobs, then eventually obtained an education degree and became a theology teacher in a Catholic high school. A few years ago, I returned for one year to the seminary to have one more look at the life. Again, I decided against it. While priesthood will always remain attractive, I have concluded that the life simply is not for me. What I most want to do is to meet a woman with whom I can form a very good relationship and friendship with and then eventually enter into marriage with her. I trust the decision because when it comes to major life choices, I believe that God simply wants us to carefully consider the viable options for ourselves, then make a choice and make it work for ourselves. The most foundational belief that I embrace is that the Universe, and all within it, has existence because a Creator, namely God, willed that it should be. Therefore, all is gift. This foundational belief shapes how I understand and go about life. My basic stance in life is one of gratitude to God--gratitude for the opportunity to live as a human and be around so many fine people. I believe that God wants us to treat others well--the premier model is Jesus as presented in canonical Gospels. Forgiveness, mercy, compassion, understanding, a gentle spirit, firmness only when necessary and helpful, and healing are the qualities that greatly promote harmony and wholesome living. I try to live these when relating with others. "Try" is the key word in that preceding statement! I take care of my body by walking, biking, playing golf, & lifting weights. I feel good and am in a good mood almost always. I like to do a lot of manual labor in the yard and around the house. Cleaning and maintaining the house, yard, vehicles, bikes, & power equipment are things I enjoy doing.
64, Joplin, MOI'm very passionate about helping others. I belong to the St. Vincent de Paul Society and volunteer weekly. There are many places, on my bucket list,I want to see. In my leisure time, I work in my yard and take my dogs for walks.
53, Joplin, MOI am passionate about life, I enjoy things from the most mundane to exciting! Relaxing in good conversation and snuggling is a wonderful way to spend A Sunday afternoon, AFTER football. I am a die hard football fan!!Spending time with my family, friends is important to me. They are all nice people and welcome meeting new people! I am involved doing activities in my parish. I'm very easy to get along with and very affectionate. People have often tell me that I am fun to be around. I do not get upset easy and am not into drama. I'm guessing like most woman,I love dogs and animals in general ( although not too much of a cat person) I am really looking forward to spending time with someone who is kind, bright, affectionate, and has a good sense of humor!!
58, Hartville, MOI've recently retired from teaching special education after 35 years. In my free time I enjoy music, culture, learning new things, relaxing, and traveling. I like spending time with my children, but they are all grown now and living far away. I am in favor of moving now that it's just me and am open to several places, but still undecided. I grew up in Detroit, but was lucky enough to have grandparents on both the Lake Huron (Port Austin) and the Lake Michigan (St. Joe) side. So it's an understatement to say I spent a lot of time at the beach as a kid! I still love to swim and get to Tablerock Lake in Branson, where my parents live, as much as I can in the warmer weather, but I still long for the sandy beaches of Michigan. Family and church are important. I have sons in Kansas City as well as in Springfield, and a daughter in Phoenix. They all work in service fields: a doctor, a high school campus minister, and a youth minister. Conversation can get quite lively at family get-togethers regarding religion, education, ethics, and politics. I don't get to see them nearly enough. When I'm in Phoenix, I adore spending time in Sedona, one of the most beautiful and peaceful places on earth for me. I miss my students from school, but not the paperwork and the bureaucracy. In my spare time, I tutor occasionally and try to advocate and be a resource for parents. I also do home health care with the elderly a few afternoons a week. I enjoy not being on the clock everyday now, especially the getting up at 5 a.m. business.

59, Carthage, MOI love my children and grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. There are a lot of them! I have limited time to get on this site, and thus have not figured out how to respond to messages or those emotigram things.
