I'm a professional, athletic, intelligent guy. I am also a good listener, and have a good sense of humor. I have worked as a writer for a metropolitan newspaper and for a national magazine. I currently work as an analyst. I enjoy working out and being in shape. I grew up playing and loving baseball and am still an avid fan. I have been a runner for more than 30 years. I also love golf, having played since age 12. In addition, I am a lifelong movie buff. In my opinion, showing sensitivity lets a woman know she is special.

Moved to Kansas City several years ago, for a new adventure. Was living in North Carolina and was employed at Duke University Hospital; was recruited here for my position in healthcare. I lived in DC prior to that and loved it. I like to spend time with family and friends, attend social events (I have many work related--formal and informal); and travel, especially international. Fun loving and love to laugh. Outgoing. Loyal. Want to enjoy life with another.

I love to write fiction - it's a way to be creative, a way to get my thoughts out on paper, and a change from my day-to-day activities. Someday, I'd like to publish a novel, but that's still quite a ways off. Secondly, I love to travel and try new things. I've been to places like Paris, Florence, Rome, London, but I've equally enjoyed Chicago, Denver, New York City, and many other cities closer to home. There's something about seeing the sights, visiting museums, going to sporting events, and exploring things off the beaten path that's refreshing. Finally (for now!), you should know that my family and friends are very important to me. I will travel hours to see them just for a weekend. As far as me personally, I am a warm, laid back person who doesn't need everything scheduled for the day. Though, I'm not opposed to planning things out. Although I love visiting museums, I prefer to eat out at more relaxed places where jeans are the dress code. My brand of humor tends to be drier, and I love comedies like 30 Rock and The Office. I'm also great at one-liner jokes, though I'll be the first to admit I need to work more on long, humorous stories. I enjoy being independent, but I still appreciate when doors are held open for me. In general, I try to have a positive attitude, though we all have bad days. Since I grew up an only child, I know how to entertain myself.

Born and raised in K. C., I graduated from H.M.H.S. in 1986. Next I went to work for FedEx for 17 years, until I decided I wanted a career where I felt I was making a difference in the world. About this same time, I also started attending Mass again regularly, something I hadn't done since junior high. The Church welcomed me back with open arms, and I finally felt a sense of belonging I hadn't felt since my youth, growing up with four brothers. I was baptized, confirmed, and received first Holy Communion at Easter Vigil, 1999. Today I am active in various parish goings-on, including serving as an officer in our local Knights of Columbus council. Additionally, some of my fellow parishioners were instrumental in my decision to pursue a vocation in education. I guess what I'm saying is my reinvigorated faith is largely responsible for who I am today. I didn't realize it then, but my FedEx years were largely wasted time -- I worked a lot and made good money, but then I spent most of that money hanging out with friends, buying new vehicles, traveling, etc. Except for some retirement savings and real-life work experience, I have little to show for it, especially in the area that matters most to me, namely a family. Well, I think it's past time to focus on finding that special someone to share the next 40+ years with! Hopefully I'll be fortunate enough to find a woman willing to start a family (naturally, or through adoption, since I realize 40 is pushing it for a safe pregnancy); or maybe I'll happen upon a woman already blessed with children. At this point I'm keeping my options open. Currently, I work as a Special Education Paraprofessional in a public elementary school. To be honest, it isn't the best paying job I have ever had; but I can say without a doubt it is the most rewarding, enjoyable, and fulfilling one! I truly look forward to going to work every day! And, too, I think the skills and values I have gained from this latest work experience have helped prepare me to be a great Dad someday.

I'm not sure I'm completely comfortable with online "dating" but it seems to be a very common way to meet someone now so I figured I'd try it out. So about me...I'm not big on talking about myself, but here it goes. I'm from a small town originally, moved to KC after college, never expected to be here more than a year, and before I knew it I had been here 10 years already. I've kept busy with work, and I like to stay active in sports. I've been in leagues for basketball, softball, flag football, sand/court volleyball, and kickball and enjoy other activities such as weight lifting, running, biking, golf and disc golf. Ive also coached basketball at a local Catholic school for the last 2 years. I'm really into music and discovering new bands to listen to or concerts to go to. However, I do not know how to play any instruments (aside from beating on my steering wheel) even though both my brothers and my dad are very musically talented. I don't date very often. People say I'm too picky but I don't think that's the case. I don't always know how to describe what I'm looking for but I can fairly easily point out things I'm not looking for or not interested in. I don't feel the need to date just to date and don't believe in wasting her time or mine if I don't feel anything. I'm hopeful to find someone worthwhile. To me that means "intriguing" - physically, mentally, morally, socially. I feel that physical attraction is important along with compatibility in regards to intelligence, kindness, tolerance and ambition.

I'm an honest down to earth guy, who is verty close with my family. I'm looking for a woman to spend time with and ultimately find that special person to spend the rest of my life with. I love to travel and can be talked into going just about everywhere. My favorite spot is Chicago, as I've been there several times. I've always wanted to go on an cruise and will visit Ireland someday. I enjoy watching all sports. My favortes are baseball, (the Royals) and the Missouri Tigers. As I said above, I am very close with my family. I'm the youngest of 3 boys and have 4 wonderful nephews and nieces whom I am very close to.

Greetings, future wife! Greetings also to all future non-wives; this is as much for you as for her. Getting to know someone, discerning whether or not to form the bonds of Holy Matrimony, living out that vocation... these things are a process of which reading catholicmatch profiles are a first step. Maybe one step is all you need; thanks for reading, and I wish you grace and luck in your search for a husband. Two mottos that I try to live by are "know thyself" and "remember you are dust, and to dust you will return." Morbid perhaps, but there it is; I think as catholics it is important to keep our mortality and our nature/personality in mind. I've made an effort to inform myself of the whats and whys of our faith, although I'm definitely still "practicing"; it's not how many times you get knocked down, it's how many times you get up again. I think living a healthy lifestyle is an important spiritual discipline, because the human condition is to have both a body and a soul. I try to think of life in terms of journeys rather than destinations. I don't think of having a job, I think of doing a job. In a similar way, I'm not looking for a girlfriend or wife as some sort of static lifestyle accessory. I want a relationship that's a growth process where we can support each other in becoming a better version of ourselves (both as individuals and as a couple) every day. Anyway, there's a start. Hopefully you've figured out on your own that I won't consider a woman sending me a message a turn-off, so please drop a line if you feel inclined. Thanks for reading, I hope you're having an exceptional day!

Hi, I am so glad that u stop by, I really don't like to talk about myself, I don't know the first thing about what someone else would want to hear about me. Would I help a stranger? Do I tell lies, or steal.. Would I lay down my life for family or friends? What charistics is it that you feel are most important from a personal relationship. Perhaps it looks, How tall, wide, age, ect. Personally believe those relationships start out shallow and end worse. Treasure is where the heart is. So life long relationships only last under eternal conditions, faithfulness, honesty, love for God and his son. Too do and have wonderful deeds to look back on. To pray always! Have integrity, self worth, respect for other, be intelligent, and a great sense of humor. My father and mother, grandfathers and grandmothers have been the most influential people in my life, Hard work, education, dedication and faithfulness to Christ Jesus above all. This, I was raised to live and believe. I live by the word and he has saved me. Love. Our time, Life and memories this is all we have, Every second we live is written down in our heart and added to our immortal existence. our soul! Every beat of our heart, an opportunity to find pleasure, to gain glory in the sight of Christ Jesus, Lord of our life, being faithful, honorable, truthful, trustworthy is just a start. In my book.. I really, don't know what your looking for when you read this profile. When I started, I just looked at the pictures and ask myself a few questions. 1. Is this someone I can talk too everyday the rest of my life? and not just hello, goodbye, or even I love you. But, Someone I could have a real conversation, tell my troubles too. my worries. my adventures.? 2. And exactly the opposite, Can I listen? Too as much! 3. Then I read their profiles. OK, the last thing. They say to write about leisure / enjoy. Everything except basketball, why you ask? I was never pick to play on a team.. Only 5' 10 3/4" .. If you need more. then you will have to come to the source? Me! Wait, Hey, before you go. I just would like to pray for you. "I hope and pray you find the person whom he hand picked for you." God bless
