55, Omaha, NEI was born and raised in Omaha, NE, where I currently reside. I attended a Catholic grade school and a Jesuit high school. I am the second of six children, with one older brother, a younger brother, and three younger sisters. My Mom and siblings live close by, resulting in constant interactions and family gatherings. My Dad is deceased. All five siblings are married and have children, with 15 nieces/nephews. I work as a geologist for an engineering firm, where I engage in environmental studies and remediation of contaminated sites. I have traveled to about 20 states and West Germany for work, though my travel is more limited as of the last four years, with only occassional short trips for work. I attend Mass on Sundays and occasionally during the week. I am fairly outgoing, and enjoy conversing with people, am honest and loyal to friends and family. Though outgoing, I tend to have a limited circle of close friends that have similar interests. My primary hobbies include hunting and flyfishing, shooting archery, ice fishing, and tying flies. I generally take at least two to four hunting or fishing trips a year for four to nine days at a time. I also enjoy cooking, though cooking for one can be tedious at times (lots of leftovers). I enjoy reading, though finding time to just sit can be challenging. Favorite authors include John Geirach, Nick Lyons, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Stephen Jay Gould, and P. J. O'Rourke, amongst others. For exercise, I walk, do pushups, and light weight lifting. I enjoy listening to folk, new age, Irish and African music and a variety of rock music. I do not go to movies very often. My taste in movies leans more toward Monty Python, Mel Brooks, and similar fare. I do work on my house, but consider it to be more of a task than an exciting challenge. I do have a large wildflower garden. At my age, I am a little leary about having children, but choose to keep an open mind on that subject. I do not have any pets (allergies) but do have several cactus plants. One last note, I do not smoke, but do drink. I particulary enjoy single malt scotch, but regularly drink beer as well, and prefer red to white wine.
46, Yutan, NEThey say you don't work if you love what you do and I love what I do. I teach in a Catholic school and coach. I enjoy combining my faith and helping students get a better understanding of history. I also enjoy helping them become better people. I have just started my Master's degree. I grew up and live in a small town 12 miles outside of Omaha. I love my community and volunteer for a lot of activities including building trails and economic development. With the rest of my time I am taking classes for my Masters and I also exercise (running, walking, biking, and lifting weights), read, watch movies, go to concerts, hang out with family/friends.

27, Hastings, NEI am very passionate about family, friends, faith, health and sports. My family, friends and faith are very important to me because they have formed me into who I am and they accept me for who I am. I am a avid sports fan with my favorite being football. One recent sport I picked up is racquetball which is quite fun. My health is important to me because without my health I wouldn't be able to care about anyone else. My faith is important to me because it has formed my values and morals and gives me my identity and gives me strength. The most influential people in my life are definitely my parents who, along with my faith, have helped me form my values and morals. One of the most influential experiences in my life has to be my entire college experience. Since kindergarten I have always been in catholic schools which I didn't oppose but I took it for granted. I didn't realize how much I really valued my catholic education or experience until I went to college and I stepped away from it. Since college I have realized that my faith is very much a part of me and that I wanted someone who understood that. My leisure time if I can find any I usually enjoy exercising, lifting, playing sports or watching movies. I am very avid movie goer. If I can find a good book that is hard to put down I do like to read. As of right now I am in school working on a diploma for Massage Therapy so my ability to relocate in the short term future is very limited. I have a bachelors degree in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and I do have intentions of moving on and getting my Masters Degree down the road.
30, Omaha, NEI'm a medical student who enjoys a good pun, a dark beer, and Irish music. I moved to Houston a year and a half ago and am currently eating way too much food at all the restaurants I've found. I'm close with my family, even though they are back in Missouri. Even though medical school keeps me absurdly busy, I try to make time each week to go running, see friends, and watch my Irish play during football season.
