67, Henderson, NVLife is full of changes. I believe that I am following my calling at least for now. It is a very interesting story and I need to share the whole story for you to understand it. I am generally happy and happy with life! I have become involved in the prison ministry working with the young women caught in a variety of difficult situations. Jon Potter is a former felon, who established the "Hope for Prisoners" program here in Las Vegas. I am impressed with the program and the success in turning lives around and I am a mentor in the program and I work to assist in job placement. I'm very interested in linguistics and how languages began, although everything is fascinating in its own way. I love our mountains and the valleys and the ocean and the lakes. I meet each day with a sense of wonder, excitement and awe.

60, Las Vegas, NVHi; thanks for stopping by! I, like you, am looking to start a lasting relationship with that special someone. I begin each day with prayer, and I'm proud of what I've accomplished in my life. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, but I also like having some alone time as well to recharge. I am easy going, kind, honest, loyal, and a good listener. I made a decision to get healthier last year, and as a result I've lost weight and eat mostly healthy food now (most of the time!). It would be great to meet someone who is also into a healthy lifestyle. I have many interests, but lets take that first step to get acquainted, and then we can share our hobbies, likes, and personal stories as we become more comfortable with each other.
72, Reno, NVI am retired, I fill my days with regular exercise programs, church, meditation, watching my grandsons, ages 21/2 and 19 months old. I also enjoy volunteering with my church and Soroptimist. I love most anything that has to do with my being outdoors, kayaking, camping, skiing, traveling. I love my family, I have two grown sons that are both married and thus the grandchildren, I love family getting together.
63, Henderson, NVI am a very outdoors person that enjoys hiking and being in nature. I also like the arts and play a number of musical instruments although electric bass is what I spend most of my time on. I prefer to listen to jazz, fusion and funk more than other types but like all kinds of music. I am a professor/scientist in biology and thus being outdoors and seeing wildlife is perfect for me. I find no conflict being a scientist and being a Catholic. I read quite a bit and mostly non-fiction. I have 2 children: a female, 27, who is in graduate school in the east and a son, 25, who is graduating from college this May and will move on. We also have 2 cats that are part of the family; my son will take one when he leaves. Love all animals but with my career I cannot have dogs. I have been divorced now for over 10 years. Career-wise, I have always been an academic and just finished an 8 year period in partial administration (which was stressful and I am very happy it is over!). I am back as a professor teaching and doing research which I love. I hope to retire in about 4-5 years or so and open to moving somewhere else at that point. I am originally from Boston and still love New England (family is still there) but not sure I would go back. As to health, I am in good shape and work out most days to some degree. Used to be a long distance runner but really had to curtail this and really do more hiking/gym than anything else now. I generally eat very healthily but I am not OCD about it. Politically I am relatively conservative with regard to family issues but relatively liberal with regard to social issues. Want to know more, ask me!
66, Las Vegas, NVI love teaching High School students along with the activities, clubs , sports , plays, and most of all preparing for their graduation. I look forward to summer break so I can travel or go on a pilgrimage to visit Holy Places. One summer we took 35 students and toured the country of Spain. My most recent trip was touring the Vatican , Assisi an San Giovanni Rotondo. The most influential people in my life are my parents for I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for all their love and sacrifices they made. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with the grandkids, walking, gardening, entertaining, painting, dancing, cooking, crafts, bocce ball and in the fall Fantasy Football.
63, Las Vegas, NVHi, I'm new here and I am impressed by the process I am going through so I can start searching and be searched :-). I am single having been widowed after 16 years of marriage to a man I met in a Christian dating site. Who thought online dating doesn't work? It does! It is hard to find someone -- it's like searching for a needle in a hay stock but when you do, you will know this is the one. My education and upbringing in a Catholic school has the most influence in my life. I don't think I will ever waver in my faith. I believe God has made me what I am -- a loving, beautiful, and passionate woman who has so much to give, who knows how to care for the man she loves. I'm hoping that my man out there is already retired and can encourage me to retire as well so we can spend time together, travel together, do fun things together in Las Vegas or California or anywhere he pleases to go or just right at home on the couch watching his favorite football or basketball or car racing or my movies on my IPad. I hope he is a family man so we can both enjoy being a grandma and a grandpa or if he is not yet a grandpa, he will enjoy having family around during holidays. I hope this man knows how to take care of his woman's needs that will make her happy. If you are reading my profile, I hope you're the one. :-)
