  • Bob, 57 from Las Vegas, NV
    57, Las Vegas, NV
I am living a wonderful life but I realize it can be even better if I share it with the right woman. I have great friends and family and I'm getting paid to do what I absolutely love to do: I work for 3 Catholic parishes and/or schools in Nevada (it's tougher to hit a moving target!). I write and direct plays and videos with spiritual/educational themes and I teach all kinds of groups, from grade school children to RCIA adults (the spectrum is wonderful because each is challenging in their own way!). As a typical Gemini, I am serious when I need to be but also enjoying life with a good sense of humor. I am organized but not necessarily neat , tho I am willing to clean up when my dog Frodo objects to all the papers -- I just wish HE would do his fair share of the cleaning!

I am looking for a low maintenance women who would like to seek ghost town, mines, lost treasures. If she owns a 4 wheel drive vehicle, that would be a huge plus. I am a one woman man who enjoys stimulating discussion in addition to treasure hunting. I would take this woman to baseball games in Las Vegas. (AAA L.V. 51's)

It would be difficult to summarize my character in a simple post. I am a person who enjoys intellectual, physical and moral pursuits. I look forward greatly to making friends, creating new opportunities and making connections. More importantly, I want to make them lasting connections, rather than simple trysts or acquaintances. I enjoy witty banter, word play and puns, but they've been known to have a less than...stellar reception among my family and friends. From a young age, I've been in the outdoors clamoring over rocks and mountains and skiing down slopes. I love backpacking, biking, rafting, and just general hikes in the wilderness. That being stated, I do enjoy the trappings of civilization slightly more than the wilderness, so I'd avoid if it was absolutely necessary. Aside from that, I enjoy lifting heavy things and putting them down again, pejoratively known as weightlifting to more intelligent individuals. Beyond that, I enjoy listening to the occasional soundtrack or radio station, playing a game or two with family and friends, or google surfing for the odd article or blog that snatches my fancy or curiosity. I enjoy the occasional video game, but I've found that they're quickly losing their novelty, and would rather do something more productive with my time.
  • Michael, 30 from Reno, NV
    30, Reno, NV
Hiya! My name is Michael, and I'm a passionate dork! For a quick start, I'll list off some simple things that describe me or my tastes. I am a Musician (sax), Tech lover, Animal lover, Tahoe lover, board/video game enthusiast, hardworking student, passionate about my family, open minded, polite, patient, Mel Brooks/Monty Python junkie, a patron to traditionally geeky arts (Fantasy, Sci-fi, oh yes, and Catholic! (But I bet you already knew that) And now for the nitty-gritty! I studied at UNR for five years to become a Music teacher! I got my degree and realized that I wanted more security should my job ever be hacked, so now I'm studying to become a certified X-ray tech. I grew up in a small town with a loving family and good friends. I was your typical band geek from an early age, starting off on a dinky saxophone, but eventually procuring a professional model that I use to this very day. I was quite the shy guy growing up (at least until you got to know me). This is still largely true today, though I'm much better at faking extroversion for the sake of getting to know people now. I am a bit of an introvert still, but this does not mean that I don't like being around people. On the contrary, I love being with people if they are the RIGHT people. People who are generally polite, open-minded, and dorky (of course) are people who I typically hang out with and enjoy. Dorky comes in many flavors and shades, so I like to see/taste them all if I can. When I have free time with friends, I love to host barbeques/potlucks at my home, game nights (video games or board games), go to music events, have a drink and chat, go out to restaurants, go to Lake Tahoe, or with proper planning, go on a road trip to amusement parks/cities/etc. I'm pretty much game for most things so long as there is a sound plan in place. When I'm left to myself, I'm usually burning time on the computer over the net, playing a video game, reading a book, or jogging/biking/lifting weights. At my core, I am Catholic. My Mother raised me Catholic and I will die Catholic. I am not the best Catholic, but I do try to take teachings I have learned to heart. I try to embrace the concept of "tolerance" in my life and am very willing to hear and see the views of other faiths and people. I never try to force my own beliefs on others, even when I think they are absolutely wrong. It is God's place to judge, not mine. I promote Catholicism through my actions, not my words!

  • Roland, 73 from North Las Vegas, NV
    73, North Las Vegas, NV
I am kind, communicative, active, compromising, fun-loving, absent of drama, and a non-game player. Last but most importantly I am truthful and loyal. I am also a catch inwardly and outwardly. I look much, much younger than my stated age though I love being a senior and getting old and still being alive is such a gift..... Music (esp. oldies) and laughter are my constant companions. I sing oldies with a group of seniors as we share our music at retirement homes. Reading, watching classic movies, meditation, church services, viewing sports, being with family, singing with a group of enthusiasts, etc are passions of mine. I grew up in a strong catholic church environment and oftentimes on the weekends my parents would take us to help clean the church and be of service to the priests and nuns in our parish, who would often be guests in our home for visits and meals..
  • Veronica, 19 from Las Vegas, NV

Greetings and salutations, my beautiful people! Faith, family, and friends are most important to me in life. I am hoping to find someone with whom I can continue to grow in the Faith and love of God. I come from a preeetttttty decently sized family as I am one of ten. Being number seven, I am towards the younger end of the family, so it's nice to have 6 predecessors' mistakes to learn from. :3 I'm a recent trade school graduate and am working at making something of a career as a jeweler. Apart from running a small online store, I'm unemployed but am excited and anxious to apply my training to a job. Now, here are three pros to getting to know me: 1) I have no problems making you a sandwich, 2) I don't care of you leave the toilet seat up, and 3) it's hard to be bored around me. I like to keep myself occupied with various activies, the main one being jewelry-making, from which spawned my career choice. I additionally enjoy swimming, poi spinning, drawing, and being fabulous among other things. I'm also fairly feminine, so I like to wear heels even though I'm already 5'8 without them. :3 Although I'm here with the hopeful end goal of marriage in mind, I do believe that it is important in any relationship to be friends before all else. Other than having a firm understanding in the Faith as well as a love for God and His teachings, being open to (and preferably good with) kids, and being able to put up with my weirdness, I don't really have a preference in guys too much. So... yeah. God bless, and I hope your day is filled with awesomeness and, eh, maybe fruit punch or something! :)

  • Alicia, 49 from Las Vegas, NV
    49, Las Vegas, NV
I'm passionate about life in general. The most important things in my life are my two beautiful daughters and my grandchildren. Whatever they grow up to be, they are still my children (no matter how old they get) and the one most important of all things I can give them is unconditional love. Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs in my field, the payment is pure love. The most influential person in my life, I have to say it was my mother. A hard working, determined, divorced mother with 6 kids..I don't recall hearing her ever complain about life in general. She's my rock, my strength to accomplish my goals and to overcome any obstacles that life throws my way. In my free time I enjoy working out, jogging, hiking, running. I believe not only maintaining a healthy mind but a healthy body is a good habit for a healthier life. I also enjoy going to the movies, dancing, I love music in general.
